The darkness that once engulf both Salem and the injured Y/N begins to withdraw from them with Salem, still placing her hand on Y/N's head.
[Minus the relic in her hands]
Salem: "So... that's what happened...?"
After a couple of moments of silence, the red-eyed Y/N manages to shake off her hand away from his head.
Y/N: "I'LL KILL YOU! HOW DARE YOU SHOW ME THAT! I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!"
Salem: "I'm doing this for your sake, sweetie."
Y/N: "Shut up! I'll end you like every other Grimm!"
Wildly, he tries to break free from the Grimm tendrils beneath him as Salem place a hand on her forehead, letting out a sigh.
Salem: "Despite the Wyvern has been turned into stone, there are other giant-sized Grimm spread around Remnant like a dragon with two tails, and a Grimm with a single horn. All of these Grimm, lying dormant, waiting to be awaken by you, the Prince of the Grimm. So, why don't you join me and take command of them? Just. Like. Me."
Y/N: "Shut up..."
Salem: "If you join me, I'll help you unlock the hidden potential within you. Something Ozpin can never do with all his knowledge. Especially with your sword you called 'Grimm Slayer' and how you manage to take Darius's semblance with it. What do you say, Y/N?"
Y/N: "I said... shut... up..."
He begins to get tired from all the struggling and is about to pass out, slumping down on the ground as Salem continues further.
Salem: "If you won't make a choice, then I might as well take you with me. We got a lot of catching up to do. And meeting your long-lost sister..."
Y/N: "Christina... N... No..."
Exhausted, the red-eyed Y/N is breathing heavily, completely unable to move an inch from his spot as Salem slowly approaches him. Y/N wants to move, fight, anything to get away from Salem as his eyes become hazy, barely able to see the approaching Salem and his sword in hand.
Salem: "It's time to come back home, sweetheart."
Y/N: ("I... I don't want this to end... I don't... to go with her...")
Suddenly, a bright light appears above him, blinding Salem and Y/N, mostly Salem. Before they knew it, a woman in a white cloak quickly floats down towards him.
Y/N: ("What the hell...?")
Y/N then begins to slowly hear a woman's voice as it grows louder.
???: "I've given you... the strength... Keep living... Keep fighting... for my sake... my daughter's sake... for my family's sake... and for everyone else's..."
Y/N: "Who... are you...?"
???: "My name is... Summer Rose."
Y/N's red eyes widen upon the sudden appearance of this woman above him, extending a hand to him.
Y/N: "Y-You're..."
Summer: "I'm here... to help you..."
As that occurs, in the corner of Y/N's eye, his Grimm Slayer begins to glow a bright red, and a dark figure of the Grimm Dragon comes out of the sword as it starts rushing towards Y/N, specifically his missing left arm.
Salem spot all of this unfold, the blinding white light on one side and the shadowy Grimm on the other side. Especially with the snarling massive Grimm Dragon as it turns into a shadowy figure as it submerges itself onto Y/N, tearing away the tendrils with its teeth and claws. After a few moments of quietness, Salem stares at the large dark mass in front of her as the white light fade away from sight.
Salem: "What the...? That white light... no... no, that can't be..."
Soon enough, the dark mass of the Grimm Dragon slowly shrinks down, visibly showing most of Y/N's body. It starts to flail and crawl around the place where Y/N's left arm used to be. With some twitching and wriggling, the dark mass forms into his human left arm. Seeing this, Salem was watching this with utter astonishment.
Salem: ("So, the Dragon see him as his master. But now that this happen, I have no choice but to take Y/N's power and soul by force.")
Before she can summon a black steel spear on the palm of her hand, she spots sudden movement from Y/N's direction. Immediately, she blocks an incoming attack from Y/N, holding Grimm Slayer with both his right hand and "left hand." Salem is smiling upon seeing this.
Salem: "Finally trying to tap into your potential I see."
Y/N: "I won't ever join your side. I'll never join your side. I'm not some half-breed! I rather stuck being Ozpin's agent than ever siding with you!"
This remark makes Salem upset as Y/N keeps attacking over and over as Salem casually dodge and evade them before pushing him off with her weapon.
Salem: "You're making a big mistake siding with someone like Ozpin than your own mother. That pathetic humanity of yours can't keep you protected forever. I just want you to fully be my son once more."
The two collide blades as Y/N snaps back.
Y/N: "Shut up! I don't want to hear you! You cause all of this much death and destruction. You'll pay for this! You, Cinder, and her fucking lapdogs."
Salem: "Ozpin only tells half-truths and lies. I only tell the truth. Ozpin has convinced you that he does tell truths."
Y/N: "Be quiet!"
Salem: "Do you not want to see Christina? She lives in my domain! Our domain!"
After a moment of silence, Y/N grit his teeth before letting out a loud war cry, readying his sword to swing at Salem. With his newfound strength, Y/N slash and dash towards and around Salem. However, none of it is affecting Salem in any way. And even if he does land a few hits, her wounds are immediately healed, much to his surprise.
Y/N: ("Damn it! This is going nowhere!")
Salem: "It's pointless in defeating me, sweetheart. Give up and come with me. My offer still stands."
Y/N: "Tch!"
She was right. No matter how many attacks he unleashes towards Salem, she remains standing, unfazed by the constant barrage of his attacks. Rolling away from her, Y/N takes out his pistols, Crimson and Violet, and start shooting at her, while circling around her. To his surprise, Salem casually deflects every shot, turning constantly to keep facing Y/N. Still circling around her and getting close, Y/N quickly activate his gauntlets and lunge towards Salem, delivering blow after blow at her, which she let it land her, utterly unfazed. Y/N was about to land another hit on her before she swings her spear, which send him several meters away.
Salem: "Please, Y/N. You deserve more than this. I can offer you more than that vile Ozpin can offer."
Y/N doesn't respond back only quickly lunging towards her with Grimm Slayer as Salem spot his left arm being a Grimm's arm with tiny white claws, replacing his fingernails. Letting out a sigh, Salem easily manages to use her free hand to grab both of Y/N's hands, holding Grimm Slayer, lifting him up. Twirling the spear a bit, Salem hit him in the gut with the bottom-end of the spear, pushing him away. While Y/N is in mid-air, Salem's spear disappears and materialize a black steel bow and arrow as magical energy swarm around the arrowhead. Once she releases the magic arrow, it quickly impales Y/N's chest, flinging him in the nearby darkness surrounding them. Salem spot something is happening with Y/N and the magic arrow she shot. A smile form on her face upon seeing what's happening.
Salem: "Well, this is unexpected... but interesting nonetheless."
Quickly coming out of the darkness and charging after Salem are 4 Y/Ns, all holding their own respective Grimm Slayer. Summoning a spear and shield, Salem prepares for his son(s)'s incoming attacks. They surround her, doing their best to land a hit as Salem evade and block them.
Salem: "I would love to take one of you with me, but I need all four of you."
In sync, they try to slash her chest and head off only for Salem to block two of them with her shield and the other two with her spear. She then manages to push them all off her, sending them flying several feet away.
Salem: "Seems like your power has been split into 4. Oh well, that makes things easier than-"
She immediately stops her remark as she glances in the corner of her eye. Salem notices the darkness surrounding them is beginning to engulf them once more. She then turns back to her son(s) seeing one of them, the main one, steadily recovering and standing up with Grimm Slayer to support him.
Salem: "This is... unfortunate. Looks like our time is up, sweetheart."
Y/N: "W-What? Already retreating?"
Salem: "No. More like this reunion of ours is ending soon enough."
Y/N: "H-Huh?"
He looks around to see the darkness around them, closing in on them.
Salem: "This is goodbye, my son. I do hope you come to your senses, and you'll have a throne by my side."
Angered by this, Y/N goes to charge towards Salem with Grimm Slayer at hand as the darkness engulfs her as she makes a few steps back, waving at him.
Salem: "I'll be sure to say hi to Christina for you."
The darkness starts closing in on Y/N as well but, he continues sprinting towards her.
Y/N: "Get back here!!!"
With a single jump, Y/N raise Grimm Slayer at the top of his head, shouting at her before making a mighty swing at Salem. In the blink of an eye and before Y/N knew it, he's back in the destroyed office on top of Beacon tower.
Y/N: "Huh...?"
Eyes widen, Y/N quickly look around his surroundings, realizing where he's at. What caught his attention is an unconscious Ruby, the other three Y/N also unconscious, and seeing Cinder being dragged away by Emerald and Mercury. Anger and hate swell up on his expression as Y/N shout at them as his left arm turn into a Grimm arm.
Y/N: "Get back here, you fucking bastards!"
His shout makes the two lackeys glance over to him before fleeing from the area. Slowly, the tired Y/N tries to go after them only to see the sudden appearance of Qrow, who flew all the way to the top.
Qrow: "Y/N!"
Y/N turns to see his mentor, looking at him with complete and utter shock.
Y/N: "Q-Qrow..."
Y/N doesn't realize that Qrow is looking at the Grimm arm that has become his new left arm. Qrow quickly shift his attention to Ruby, who is still unconscious as he rushes to her side.
Qrow: "It's alright. I got ya, kiddo. I got ya."
He then turns to Y/N.
Qrow: "Kid, what happened?"
Y/N: "I-"
Before he can finish his sentence, Y/N's adrenaline drops which makes Y/N's body drop to the ground. Barely conscious, Y/N is breathing very heavily, expending a massive amount of his stamina.
Qrow: "Y/N!"
Upon saying this, Y/N attempts to get back up only for the other recovering Y/Ns help him get back up, much to Qrow's surprise.
Qrow: "What the hell...?"
Y/N #2: "We... need to leave this place, Qrow."
Completely confuse by this, Qrow reluctantly agrees as he takes Pyrrha's equipment before taking Ruby with him. The other three Y/N take the main Y/N and his other weapons with them, following after Qrow.
Now in the base of the Beacon Tower, Qrow place Ruby down, leaning against a wall as he turns to his student(s).
Qrow: "That arm... that was..."
They soon realize that Qrow must have saw the main Y/N's left arm being that of a Grimm.
Y/N #3: "We need to tell you what happened, Qrow."
Qrow: "Oh... okay."
They then explain what happened on top of the Beacon Tower. Fighting Cinder, Pyrrha's death, the bright light coming out of Ruby's eyes, and his encounter with Salem.
Qrow: "I'm... I'm sorry to hear that. Hold on, you... you fought Salem?"
Y/N #4: "I... We did."
The huntsman is still processing the information he's just received.
Qrow: "Have you seen Ozpin?"
Y/N #3: "N-No, I-we think he's... dead."
Qrow: "Okay... I understand... but that doesn't explain the left arm."
All three Y/Ns share a look of concern at one another, glancing over the still unconscious Y/N before turning back to Qrow.
Y/N #4: "We're... I'm half-Grimm..."
Eyes widen, Qrow couldn't help but look utterly shock upon hearing his response. The huntsman stays quiet for a few moments, making the remaining Y/Ns become very tense at his reaction.
Qrow: "Then... that encounter with Salem... you... are you..."
Y/N #3: "W-We're not her son!"
The other two Y/Ns quickly glare at their lookalike.
Y/N #2: "You fucking dumbass!"
Y/N #4: "Why the hell would you say that?!"
They begin arguing as Qrow absorb the information before realizing their argument.
Qrow: "Hold on! Calm down... all of you."
They turn to their mentor, slowly calming down via taking deep breaths.
Qrow: "Kid(s), I understand your... 'situation'... but are you... are you going to tell the others about this? About... you know...?"
He points to the still unconscious Y/N and his left arm before one of the Y/Ns retorts, while the rest shift their gaze away from Qrow.
Y/N #2: "N-Now is not the right time to tell them... anything."
Qrow: "Look, sooner or later, you're going have to tell them or it's just going to get worse from here."
Y/N #3: "I-We know... it's just... we'll tell them eventually... just not now..."
Qrow: ("You're scared, kid. Scared that Ruby and the others might find out what you're actually like...")
Y/N #4: "Wait, isn't that... Pyrrha's gears?"
He points to the gears Qrow is holding with his hand.
Qrow: "I think so. I was planning to give it to her teammates. Do you know who they are?"
They all sadly nod to him.
Y/N: #2: "Yeah. They're our friends. Jaune, Nora, and Ren."
Qrow: "Okay, I'll give it to them once I drop off Ruby back home. What about you?"
Y/N #3: "Can you... watch over the others, Qrow? I... We want to be left alone... please..."
Qrow let out a sigh, carrying Ruby before turning to his student(s).
Qrow: "Sure thing, kid-kids, ugh, you get the idea. I'll meet you at Patch. I'll tell you where."
Before he leaves them be, Qrow glances back at the Y/Ns.
Qrow: "Kid(s)...?"
They all turn to face him.
Qrow: " I don't care about what you are... I love you. Don't ever forget that."
As he said this, Qrow left the area, heading to where the others are. The three Y/Ns were taken aback by Qrow's words. They then turn into the still unconscious main Y/N, glaring at him. They resist the urge to kick him while he's down for everything that happened before they slowly grab him and take him to safe area. As they do, the main Y/N slowly regain consciousness as his eyes are still hazy.
Y/N: "Q-Qrow..."
