It was 10pm on Friday & as promised I was on my way to see Lani.
After finishing my last client if the night I decided to pass by her house since I haven't seen her since we were at Kianna house.
After about 20 mins of driving I was finally pulling into her apartment complex.
I grabbed my stuff before getting out the car and made my way towards her apartment building.
Once I got off the elevator I walked down the familiar hallway before reaching her door & knocked.
After waiting a couple seconds I knocked again.
"Wassupp" I smiled as lani opened the door
She rolled her eyes before walking away, leaving me to close and lock the door.
I walked behind her towards the kitchen and wrapped my arms around her waist.
"You can't say hi to me ?" I asked pulling away from her
I sat my keys on the counter and watched as she moved around the kitchen not saying anything.
I sighed "what's wrong ?"
She turned to look at me "it's Friday, 10:29pm at night" she said causing me to look at her weird
"Okay ??"
"Tuh. Nothing Geo" she scoffed
I dragged my hand down my face before sighing again " What I do to you Kay'Lani?"
"You said you was gonna come see me before the week end" she said causing me to smack my lips
"Really ? I've been busy Lani & you know that"
"Okayy, well I missed you & you know that" she said causing me to laugh
"You ain't miss me that much if you giving me that stank ass attitude" I said grabbing her hand & pulled her into me
She sighed before hugging me back.
"Someone birthday coming you" I said causing her to smile
"Yupp" she replied
"I gotta surprise for you, it requires taking off a couple days of work tho" I said rubbing her lower back
She shook her head "where we going ?"
"It's a surprise"
She rolled her eyes "I've been taking off so much time lately, they gone fire me" she said before laughing
"We both know that's a lie" I said before walking over to her pantry
"You bout to cook something for me ?" I asked looking back at her
"It's almost 11" she said
"So ? I'm hungry ash"
"Welp you better order sum" she said causing me to smack my lips
"You foul asf" I said pulling out my phone to order something
"How was your day ?"
"It was good what bout you ?"
"It was cool, I love my job" she said smiling
"You spending the night ?" She asked pulling me out the kitchen & towards her room
I turned the lights off before looking back at my phone.
"Yea, you hungry ?" I asked her
"No, I'm okay"
"You are today ?"
She nodded before crawling in her bed.
"You such a kid" I said as she pressed resume on Zoey 101
"Shut up"
I sat on the edge of the bed & answered my phone as it ring.
"Yooo" I said as i put my phone to my ear
"Wassup nigga what you on tonight ?" King asked
"Nothing much, I just got off work... I'm at Lani crib right now" I said looking back at her seeing her fall asleep then pitched back up causing me to laugh
"I'm trynna go out, everyone either boo' d up or tired from work...y'all niggas lame" he said causing me to chuckle
"Where Kianna at ? Why you can't go with her ?" I asked walking over to Lani side and sat on the edge
She opened her eyes as I sat down, then went back to watching the show that played on the TV as if she wasn't just sleep.
I rubbed her feet as I listened to king speak "Kianna ass sick, talking about she don't feel good enough to go out" he said
"Well maybe that's a sign to stay yo ass home" I said causing him to sigh
"Whatever, you still doing that thing for Lani ?"
"Yeah, you coming ?"
"Oh you know imma be there. You inviting any of her fine ass friends ?" He asked causing me to laugh
"You know her ass don't have no friends for real" I said looking back at her as she fell asleep again
"Damn. Alright I'll be there tho, anyways I'll talk to you later gang. Tell Lani I said wassup"
"Her ass over here falling asleep, but later" I said causing him to laugh before hanging up
I threw my phone on the other side of the bed before looking back at Lani again.
"Aaliyah" I yelled causing her to pitch up
I laughed " why you trynna stay up ?"
"I'm waiting for you" she said softly
"Well I'm finna take a shower, then eat whenever my food get here so go to sleep" I said before getting up
I took my shirt off before heading into the bathroom to take a shower.

Once I was done taking a shower, I lotion my body and put deodorant on before putting my clothes on.
I made sure I straighten up the bathroom because knowing Lani if she come in here and it's not how she left it I'll get yelled at.
I walked out the bathroom and into the room seeing her laying there still watching zoey 101.
"Go to sleep mama" I said as I picked up my phone to see where my food was
Seeing it was outside I walked out the room and towards the front door to get my food.
I picked it up & closed the door making sure to lock it before sitting in the living room to eat.
I turned the TV on and put on rush hour before digging in.
Couple mins into the movie Lani came out her room wrapped in her blanket & walked over to me.
"You taking to long" she said sitting into my lap
"Lani, I'm eating" I said before putting some of the food in my mouth
"You want some ?" I asked looking as she leaned back into me
I ordered a bowl from chipotle, since it was the closest thing.
"No" she said
"I can't eat like this ma" I said causing her to suck her teeth and lay on the couch
I finished eating my food as we sat in silence watching the movie.
Once I was done, I threw away my garbage and washed my hands before turning the TV off.
"Come on, mama" I said softly as she got up and walked towards her room
She put her blanket at the bottom of the bed before crawling into the bed and got under the covers.
I got in next to her and wrapped my arms around her waist.
"Geo..would you still like me if I was a worm ?" She asked causing me to smack my lips
"Girl, go to sleep" I said shaking my head
