"let's go let's go! get in here!" Abby calls and we all run in
"on the residential campaign this means peace" Abby says as she quite literally does the peace sign
"but here at the Abby Lee Dance Company this means second, not only are we getting beat by Cathy's brilliant team of imports we're getting beat by teachers i've never heard of before..alright i want to get to the pyramid."
"first i have Mackenzie, you didn't dance"
"next Paige, that flag was a symbol for everybody in the audience don't do a disservice to this country"
"and next Kendall, we worked on your facial expressions they've improved we've worked on your stamina it's getting there now focus wherever your eyes go that's where the judges eyes go you can't watch Maddie like a member of the audience"
"and next i have Brooke, Brooke in rehearsal you did an outstanding job then we get onstage and then you go right by Asia and the flag and you have to wait four counts you have to think onstage"
"next Camila, in the voting i think you were biased towards you sister."
i furrow my eyebrows
"so she's on the bottom because she voted her sister?" mom questions
"i just don't think she was honest." Abby says
"how was she not honest? she voted for Chloe i don't get the issue." mom says
"her reasoning behind it, i think she voted Chloe because Chloe's her sister, not because Chloe did better than Maddie." Abby states
"why does it matter?" mom asks
"because the point of the vote was to be honest not to be biased." Abby says
"i wasn't being biased." i finally speak up
suddenly everyone's eyes is on me.
"what?" Abby asks
"i wasn't biased towards Chloe." i say
"if you weren't biased towards Chloe tell me why did you pick her over Maddie?" Abby asks
take a breath
"i picked Chloe because i thought emotionally she really had it and you could see it was raw and i thought her turns were clean and her technique was really clean." i say
"alright." Abby then says
that didn't go..terribly.
"moving up Eloise, i thought you looked amazing in the group you kept up well for it being your first time in the group well done."
"thank you." Eloise smiles
"next Chloe, Chloe you did a solo you did a nice job you were second only to Maddie..corrections hyperextending the elbows not lengthening the back of the knee you can fix all of those things but you have to want too." Abby says
Chloe nods
"next Nia, you did an outstanding job i thought you looked good in the group i noticed you in the group i also noticed you were smart and you figured out you couldn't lift Asia until she got there."
"and next Asia, you won the overall highscore in the petite division i think you're a little firecracker and i think you step onstage and you cause an explosion"
"and on top of the pyramid Maddie, you were the overall highscore of the junior division your friends voted for you too, you are the type of personality that this country was build on you all know that song America The Beautiful, Maddie you are America The Beautiful" Abby says
"thank you" Maddie smiles

"now before i get started on this weeks assignments i want to ask Mackenzie where your cast is?" Abby asks
"you should have an air cast on that foot."
"my foot doesn't hurt anymore." Kenzie says
"and..where's your doctors excuse?" Melissa asks
"did you go to the doctor again?" Abby asks
"no..oh wait yeah." Kenzie says
i see Eloise make a face
"yes you did Kenzie you did go back to the doctor." Melissa says
"can you let me speak? he said that it's okay to dance." Kenzie says
"and how did he look at your foot again?" Abby asks
"he didn't." Kenzie says
"so over the phone?" Abby asks
"he said she has to rest it until it feels one hundred percent she knows her own body" Melissa says
"she knows her own body she can't even create a sentence to answer me with..i'm sorry the doctor said two weeks and i don't feel comfortable going against his wishes it has not been two weeks." Abby says
"let's talk about this week, we are heading to Energy Dance Competition in Youngstown Ohio..the group number is entitled Hear No Evil everyone is in it expect Mackenzie and Maddie."
did i hear that right? did she say..Maddie
"Maddie you will not be dancing with the group routine you will be assisting me with the choreography."
"Maddie you will be doing a solo the name of your solo is They'll Never Change, Asia you will be performing a duet with Nia." Abby announces
we clap for Nia and Asia
"the name of the routine is Move You Too and i'm expecting my little firecracker to light Nia up we're going to get Nia moving faster, jumping higher..Nia when Asias leg is up here your leg better be up there you can't be any less than Asia is onstage"
"i also have a trio with Maddie, Camila and Eloise."
i gasp
and everyone claps
"i want to see how Eloise dances with you guys but im sure she'll be fine, the style of your trio is musical theatre and it's entitled The New Girl In Town..it's a reference to the musical Hairspray." Abby explains
i smile
"i have one more solo it's going to Chloe it's contemporary and the name of the routine is About Mother."
|Group Rehearsals|
"Maddie is demonstrating this week because she's a performer, she's a winner, a champion, a artist she wants to do this twenty four seven" Abby says
we learn the group routine and it's moment because i'm featured.
i'm never featured so the fact i'm featured is equally as terrifying and exciting
|Two Days To Competition|
"come on i need everyone in Studio A!" Abby calls
the entire company squishes into Studio A
"i have a big announcement to make, i just got a phone call and i have been officially invited to be a guest host on The View." Abby announces
i gasp
and we all clap for Abby
"A host?! oh my god!" Melissa squeals
"so i will be hosting the entire hour of The View! of course i'm going to have The Abby Lee Dance Company competition team one of our winning group routines perform on The View" Abby says
i squeal and we all clap
i turn to Maddie and we just smile
we're going to be dancing on The View!
"exciting?" Abby asks
"yes!" we all say
"so next week we're going to be travelling to New York City." Abby says
"yes!" Chloe squeals
"i love New York!" Eloise says
"you and me both!" Paige high fives her
"unfortunately the lady said i need to submit the routine they're going to performing tonight so we need to do something exciting that makes people think." Abby says

we run the group routine and Maddie is doing our music
"watch with the knuckles when you push forward Chloe" Abby calls out
"alright Kendall and Brooke obviously they are doing a different time and they thought they were right and the other people were way ahead and kept going because they thought they were right." Abby says
"Maddie who did you think was right?" Abby asks
"fighter is when we do the jump." Maddie says
|Trio Rehearsal|
"so the routine is based on the musical Hairspray..have any of you seen it?" Abby asks
"the movie." Maddie says
"same thing that works, so you three are the dancers in the sequence of them doing the TV show..so Camila you're our only blonde so you'll be portraying Amber..tell me who Amber is" Abby asks
"Amber is the mean girl, she's rich, her mom is a producer on the show she's on..so she's a bit of a brat." i say
"yes..good and Maddie and Eloise are Ambers friends so it's all about you kiddo don't let me down." Abby says
i nod
for the trio i'm in the in the front
Eloise is on my left and Maddie on my right
we learn the routine and we are also lip syncing some lines but overall the routine is alot of fun
|The View Group Rehearsal|
"so i've decided we're going to do The Last Text obviously do of our dancers wasn't here for that piece so Eloise, we'll rehearse you in and Asia you're gonna have to be Mackenzie." Abby says
Eloise smiles
but i feel bad for Kenz
"all i need you to do is a round off back handspring to that corner and fall on the ground." Abby explains
"okay her into your starting positions so i can put Eloise in."
we get into our spots
"go in between Brooke and Kendall." Abby points
Eloise sits in between Brooke and Kendall
we do the routine and Abby is calling it out to teach Eloise the routine
"The View is an amazing opportunity im learning you this dance so you can have this opportunity, either pick it up or i'll take you out of it, simple."Abby says to Eloise
|One Day To Competition|

"let's see this." Abby says
we do the trio and i make sure i do the acting right
"Camila you're meant to be a mean girl show me snobby, show me bratty you aren't happy this new girl came in and is threatening your position you aren't happy about it." Abby explains
i nod
i'm assuming she's talking about Eloise.
|Competition Day|
we head to our dressing room and there's no Cathy! yay!
i do my makeup for the trio and mom does my hair
Chloe and Maddie then get ready for their solos
and Nia and Asia come in with their duet costumes on
we go backstage for the solos
"we look so cool with our hairs" Eloise whispers
"we so do!" i beam
Chloe performs her solo and she really nailed it
she's such a beautiful dancer
"you're so lucky to have an older sister who dances that great to look up to..because you're phenomenal." Eloise whispers
"learnt from the best." i smile as Chloe finishes her solo
Maddie performs her solo next
and she nailed it
suddenly Asias and Nia duet gets called
"i thought they had time?" Paige asks
"when's our number up?" i ask
"i don't know? we aren't ready yet..Maddie needs her hair done." Eloise says
"we need to warm up!" i start
"i'll go ask." Brooke says
Brooke goes to find a stage manager
"please be time to get ready." i whisper
"you guys are fine you have time." Brooke comes back saying
"good." i sigh
we go back to the dressing room
"the trio needs to get ready" Abby says
Melissa does Maddies hair and she does her makeup and me and Eloise get our costumes on then Maddie gets hers on

i stretch and then we run through the trio quickly
"why was this so hard to do for the duet..why are you taking the time on the trio" Holly says
"a trio is harder spacing." Abby says
"no it's because Maddies in it." Kelly mumbles
"oh my god." Abby sighs
we then go backstage for the trio
"remember facials, the lines and obviously the choreography..but we'll do good." Maddie says
"let's hope." i smile
"welcome entry number 50 The New Girl In Town." the announcer says
me, Maddie and Eloise enter and we get into our starting positions
i really wanna prove i can be a lead and do really well
so i make sure my acting is off the charts and that i remember what i'm doing
we end the dance right before the Dynamites start singing and we exit the stage
"yay!" Eloise squeals and we do a group hug
"that was so fun!" i beam
"i loved it!" Maddie smiles
we go back to the dressing room and mom high fives me
"you did so good!" mom says
"thank you!" I smile
Abby comes back and cheers
"i thought the trio was amazing, Camila you looked great, Maddie and Eloise you were off the charts" Abby says
we soon get ready for the group and we run through it

we head backstage for the group routine
"everyone! Paige go," Maddie says and we go through the group
Maddie explains the group and i'm really nervous because i'm featured this week so i wanna do good
"alright our last routine of the day entry number 57 Hear No Evil" the announcer says
we do the group routine and i make sure i nail everything
i think i did amazing so i hope Abby thought the same

for Asia and Nias duet

let's pray we win.
"our top Junior Duo/Trio is entry number 50 The New Girl In Town."
i smile and me, Maddie and Eloise get our award
i give them both a high five because we won!
"our Energy Junior Small Group"
"top overall winner goes to Hear No Evil"
i cheer and we get up to get our award
Paige gives me a hug
we won! without Maddie!
we go back to the dressing room cheering
"congratulations!" Abby says
Abby then has us run The Last Text
and Eloise is picking it up great!
"does that mean Asia is doing The Last Text?" Kelly asks
"we'll see" Abby says
