"you were the overall highscore junior group that's important that's where we wanted to be we wanted to be number one"
"let's get to the pyramid.." Abby says
"i'm going to start on top because that's easy..Maddie, Maddie you were the overall highscore i gave you a job to do..to teach your sister and to make sure she could keep up with you and that's what you did, you took charge"
"and next on the pyramid Paige."
i smile for Paige and we clap
"you did a great job it was darling."
"next Kendall, Kendall you were third place overall hey..wasn't second thank goodness"
"next we have Chloe, Chloe you were the first overall highscore in the junior solo division"
"next Camila, you looked good..you have the look, you have the talent, so use it don't sit there and let this one overshadow you every week." Abby points over to Maddie

"and next Nia, now Nia once again you flew under the radar you didn't draw my eye in a negative way that's very admirable"
"next Mackenzie, i will stand by my decision that you should not of been in that group number"
"and next finally Brooke, Brooke you're here because obviously didn't dance you had a nice little vacation."
"now you see two more pictures..we have two new members of the team they have made the commitment now..Asia and Eloise will be joining The Abby Lee Dance Company." Abby announces

"they were contestants in the Ultimate Competition that i judged this summer..their mothers has signed the same contract that you guys signed they are here for the duration they want my tillage i do not think there's enough competition among you..i don't think you challenge eachother enough and i want to warn you i don't want to hear one word about anybody chasing these women out" Abby says
from what i know..Asia came third and Eloise was second in the ultimate competition.
"now we are going to Energy Dance in Highland Michigan and i know for a fact that the wicked witch of the west and her crappy little apples are going to be there..you are the reigning national winners for Energy Dance you cannot walk in there this weekend any less."
"we are doing a group routine and the title of the routine is Return To Grace this is a very mature routine it's about Reincarnation that group routine will be without Mackenzie and without Asia and Eloise..i have a trio and my trio is going to Kendall, Maddie and Chloe"
we clap for the three girls
"this is a jazz trio it's high energy it's called We Believe."
"and i have three solos and they will be going to Camila, Asia and Eloise"
i give a soft smile and everyone claps
"Asia will be competing in the mini division and Eloise will be in the Junior category along side Camila..Camila your solo is a contemporary piece entitled The Lucky One, because you are one very lucky girl..you're here training at The Abby Lee Dance Company, you have won five titles since you've ever started dancing, and a lot of people say you have natural talent so you are The Lucky One." Abby lists off
at the corner of my eye i see my mom rolling her eyes
The Lucky One..huh? shouldn't this not be a Maddie dance.
|Group Rehearsals|
"alright girls..Return To Grace..so you were sad you had the blues down and out you come back and everything is fabulous" Abby explains
we then learn the group routine and it's our classic lyrical dance
|Solo Rehearsals|
"now the last time you did a solo you forgot it..now you have to go out there and win a title?" Abby says
"let's go"
we then learn my solo and it's a nice solo it's to the song The Lucky One by Taylor Swift
but there's a lot of pressure
"you're up against this new little girl, Eloise is ten and you've won way more than she has at nine but she's very talented, she's going to give you a run for your money she could even give Maddie a run for her money..if you go out there and do what you did two weeks ago you are just handing her the title." Abby says
i nod
"you're dismissed..go"
"thank you." i mumble and i leave the room
first it's 'be like Maddie'
now it's going to be 'be like Eloise'
or even better 'be like Maddie and Eloise'
|Two Days To Competition|
"who is ready to meet the new kids?" Kelly asks
"Kenzies excited to meet Asia i think." Melissa says
"i've only seen them dance once so." Kendall says
"yeah i'd like to meet them and see what they're going to bring to our team." Jill says
Abby then comes in with Asia, Eloise and their moms
"say hi girls!" Abby says
we wave to Asia and Eloise
"come on in..everybody this is Eloise and her mom Elizabeth..and this is Asia and her mom Kristie"
"two Christi's! i don't know if the world can handle two Christis" Kelly laughs
"let's see how you match up with Mackenzie" Abby says to Asia
Kenzie and Asia do back to back and Kenz is taller
"would Eloise be the same height as Cami?" Melissa asks
"Camila come here." Abby says
we then do a back to back
"Eloise is just taller." Jill mentions
"so you both are not in the group dance..Mackenzies not in it either..you both will be doing a solo also but Eloise you'll be up against Camila" Abby says
i give Eloise a small smile
Abby then works on the trio so the rest of us stay in the dancers den
"solos right off the bat..nervous?" Paige asks
"a little bit actually!" Eloise says
"good luck learning a solo in two days is a tough job but you get used to it." Nia says
"hopefully" Eloise smiles
"so did you guys live in Pittsburgh and then go to LA for Ultimate?" i ask
"i lived in California and moved here for the show." Eloise says
"same" Asia says
"wow..lucky i'd love to live in LA" Brooke says
"it's nice but here's so different so it's cool to change surroundings" Eloise says
"do you guys have any siblings?" Nia asks
"i have a little sister." Asia says
"same!" Eloise adds
"do they dance?" i ask
"mines does." Eloise says
"no she doesn't" Asia says
"opposites!" Eloise laughs
"what's their names?" i ask
"her name is Evelyn and she's eight." Eloise says
"oh so she's Kenzies age..why didn't she come on the show with you?" Paige asks
"she wasn't on Abbys Ultimate so she never got asked." Eloise says
"my little sisters name is Bella and she's five" Asia says
"awh!" i say
|Competition Day|
we get off the bus and we head into the competition
and we head to the dressing room
and the moms talk about Abby getting her dog stuffed...ew?
mom does my hair for my solo and i do my makeup
"Melissa do you miss Kenzie?" mom asks
"shes hurting right now" Melissa says
i get up and i start to stretch
"what's wrong?" Kristie asks
"she has an extra bone in her foot." Melissa explains
"oh i didn't know that" Kristie says
"doesn't it make you nervous at all that like Abby really didn't want Mackenzie to do the group and then this weeks she brings in someone who's her age and gives her a solo but leaves her at home?" mom asks
"no not at all..Abby brought in Eloise who's Maddies age aswell so no." Melissa says
"but i don't know when Sophia was here would Abby tell you to leave Maddie at home you would've had a fit." mom says
"that would've been a different thing." Melissa says
"why would it of been different?" Elizabeth asks
"but i just know you and you wouldn't of let Maddie stayed home." mom says
"no but they're two different people..Maddie never would've wanted to let her team down..this is her girls Maddie you know..i'm fine with it." Melissa says
"so is this not Mackenzies team aswell? i thought Mackenzie was on the team." Elizabeth says
"Mackenzies on the team..it's just different." Melissa states
i get ready for my solo
Camilas solo costume with the headpiece at the side of the bun:
Abby then comes into the dressing room
Asia then runs through her solo and so does Eloise
i then run through mine and i'm really nervous
we start to walk backstage and Abby runs into her friend John who's with Candy Apples this week
we then head backstage and Asia performs first
and Asia nailed it she's definitely a performer
"good luck" Maddie hugs me
"thanks." i smile
"you'll be fine don't overthink it or you'll forget it." Paige says
i nod
"please welcome to the stage, The Lucky One." the announcer says
the crowd cheers and i enter the stage
i get into my starting position and i just perform
i just wanna prove i am a good dancer
i do my ending pose and the crowd cheers and i exit the stage
"you did it!" Maddie beams
"you were so good Cami!" Eloise says
"thank you!" i smile and Chloe hands me water
Eloise performs her solo
it's a lyrical piece entitled Already Gone
and she's a beautiful dancer
"you were so good El!" i hug her
"thank you, that was so scary" Eloise says
"it's terrifying." Nia agrees
we go back to the dressing room and the moms clap
"you were so good!" mom hugs me
"thanks" i smile
Abby walks into the room and looks directly at Asia
"drop and give me twenty."
Asia does twenty push ups
"you do the steps, cutes over it's about the technique it's about the feet..i cringed when you rolled up into that chinstand with those feet completely sickled."
"uh Eloise, i thought you did a beautiful job you looked confident it was good."
"thank you." Eloise smiles
"Camila, it's what you normally do it's like i'm seeing the same solo but with different music." Abby says
"but you're the choreographer, so if you want her to do different stuff give it to her." mom says
"are you questioning me?" Abby asks
"no i'm telling you..your correction to her isn't her fault." mom says
"fine mommy knows best.." Abby sighs
i look down
the trio soon gets ready and their costumes are so cute
we go backstage did the trio
Candy Apples do their duet first
and they were really strong
like they were so good
Maddie, Chloe and Kendall perform next
and i thought they rocked it
we go back to the dressing room
mom then helps me and Chloe get ready for the group routine

"Entry number 122 please take the stage" the announcer says
"good luck" Eloise whispers quickly before Maddie enters
the music starts and Maddie starts the routine off and we all enter
i think we did a good job
and i think i did really good but you never know

i clap for Eloise as she gets her award

i smile and i get up to get my award
i also get crowned as i'm now

we take a bow and Eloise gives me a side hug
we sit back down and Maddie gives me a high five
for the trio
they got second
and Candy Apples got first
"alright we have the Energy Junior Small Group top overall highscore..i'm going to pause for a moment this is the only score of the day so far that received an absolute perfect score"
my mouth gapes open
