Lately, I've been pondering if I should change the title as well as the description for one of my stories which is titled, Enemies with Benefits into a different title and plot.
Option 1:
Cecilia Evans is a recording artist who is in seventh heaven after being nominated for what any artist on the rise dream about garnering-- a Grammy that results in doing her family proud after years of living in the shadow of her well known relatives. While she is riding high, her boyfriend breaks up with her as she recovers from a kidney infection.
Just a few miles away is a budding actor that goes by the name of Jeremy Miller, who is also in good spirits when he is nominated for an Emmy around the same time his girlfriend parted ways with him. Now that both Cecilia and Jeremy are newly single individuals, their friends and family members set forth for the both of them to use an app for hook-ups exclusively. When Jeremy and Cecilia come face to face; their past will be laid something bare.
Option 2:
Aspiring independent artist Cecilia Evans is in seventh heaven after being nominated for what any artist on the rise dream of garnering-- a Grammy that results in doing her family proud after years of living in the shadow of her well known relatives. On the night of the Grammy's, Cecilia's world turns upside down and her stomach turns at the unforgettable and damning sight that is not welcomed. Heartbroken and forelorn since the event, Cecilia wants nothing to do with the music industry as artists turn their backs on God for fame.
Emmy Award nominee and actor Jeremy Miller is sick and tired of playing dark roles in film and television after turning down a terrifying role that would cement his acting career and just ended his relationship with his girlfriend of four years. For the first time in his life, he feels lost at the crossroads with no way to find the light in the tunnel. Both Jeremy and Cecilia are depressed and lonely individuals that are unaware they are each other's soulmates after years of constant bickering since childhood. He's finding himself, she's finding herself, and they're finding each other.
I personally prefer the 2nd option, but pick your choice. Which one would you prefer?
