"as much as i love the boys it's so nice to not have them around right now." val told brinley as they were sipping coffee in a local coffee shop. "i agree. they are a lot to handle." said brinley with a smile, "they are worse than girls, but no more boy talk right now." she added.
they shared childhood stories, brinley gushed about how hot val's dad was, and how they couldn't wait for hockey season to start.
"yeah, you know growing up with adam and luca i was always around hockey so i kinda just fell in love with it. and honestly it's really entertaining." val said, "oh yeah i totally agree. my older brother played travel hockey and high school hockey but i kinda got sick of it for a while but i've always loved the sport." brinley told val. "and now you get to watch mark." val said wiggling her eyebrows up and down, "i thought we weren't talking about the boys?" brinley asked. "well we are now. so i wanna know about you and mark."
"we've hung out a couple times, nothings really come out of it yet." brinley told her friend, "have you kissed yet?" val asked. "i don't kiss and tell." said brinley blushing. "i can't believe it! give me details please i haven't kissed anyone in what feels like forever. i need details." val said. "fine. i guess i'll tell you." brinley said, playfully rolling her eyes.
"okay so he took he me out to dinner and then we got ice cream. and then we went back to the sophomore house and were hanging out in his room, just watching greys anatomy cause i told him i love that show. and we were just watching tv and he kissed me." said brinley blushing thinking about what happened with the boy she likes. "okay, so are you like dating or what?" val asked, still trying to get more details. "i don't know. i mean i like him a lot." said brinley, "yeah. i know. and he obviously does too. so he needs to ask you to be his girlfriend." val told her friend.
"i agree but i don't really know how to tell him without legit telling him." brinley said, "i can text him or something." valentina suggested. "that might actually work. but don't make it obvious that i told you to do it." brinley told val. "duh. i promise, brins i won't do you like that." said val, pulling out her phone to text mark.

later that night valentina had decided to go to the library to do homework while mark went to ask brinley.
mark was so nervous, he kept texting her while he was on his way to their dorm. val left as soon as he texted her to tell her he was there. and they passed each other when she was leaving. val told him a quick good luck while walking out of the dorm halls door.
the quick walk to the library was filled with the voice of drake through val's airpods.
walking into the library, valentina found the nearest open table and sat at it. she took her backpack off her back and grabbed her biology notebook and textbook out of it. she had a paper due in her bio class soon so she started writing it. about halfway through writing her essay she got a text from mark saying he asked brins and she said yes. val texted him back and packed her stuff back up and started the walk back to the dorm.
"he asked me out!" said brinley as val walked into the dorm room the two girls shared. "aw brins, i'm so happy for you!" val told her friend and giving her a hug. "i can't believe i have a boyfriend." brinley said with the biggest smile on her face. "mark told me you helped him. thank you val." brinley said giving her roommate another hug. "of course brins. i want you to be happy and you obviously are very happy." valentina said, finally putting her backpack down and taking her bio notebook out again, wanting to get her paper done.
the girls had short conversations as val was writing.
"now we just have to get you and luca together." brinley said out of nowhere. "i mean you can try but i doubt he would want to." val said, trying to focus back on her essay. "valentina. trust me, he definitely likes you. i mean you should see the way you look at each other." brinley said sitting up her bed and opening her laptop. "did i tell you i had a paper due at any point this week?" brinley asked trying to fetid she had homework.
brinley was a psych major and wanted to be a therapist when she graduated.
"i don't think so, please check though. i don't need you to have a breakdown tonight." val said turning to face brinley instead of her desk.
"oh thank god." brinley breathed out after checking her planner on her laptop. "no paper?" val asked, still focused on brinley. "no, i would've actually cried." brinley said laying back down on her bed. "i would've cried for you." val joked turning back to her desk.
about an hour later both the girls were fast asleep.

sorry for no update yesterday:( my best friend got back from vacation so i hung out with her yesterday.
i kinda hate and love this chapter. but next chapter i'm very excited for!
