In this fanfic, people like Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio are quirkless. The Hunter exam forbids quirks to make it fair. The exam just wants to focus on their physical strength rather than their quirk strength. People like Hisoka and Illumi who used their quirks in the middle of the exam weren't nessicarilly kicked out because Chairman Netero was interested in the two of them more than the others, so he allowed it (talk about playing favorites). Nen is still a thing in this world but its a lot more harder to acheive. So (Y/n) doesnt know nen (just her quirk). Killua had a quirk before and it was to sharpen his hands like how he did in the exam. But others thought it was just natural. The rest of their nen learning is cannon, but the people in the exam and the background characters just have really crappy quirks.
