My eyes fluttered open, as I sat up. I looked around my surroundings, to see that I was sitting.. on water— What?
I reached down to touch said 'water', only to realize it didn't even get me wet. This really convinced me I was dreaming.
I looked up to where the blue sky would usually be, only to see an atmosphere full of stars and constellations.
"Where am I..?" I muttered to myself, as I stood up. The energy in this place felt very calm, which is probably why I wasn't freaking out right now.
I remembered that I was with Ace before I came to this weird dimension. I must have fallen asleep if this was possible. I mean, the villagers would not give up, so I got tired from waiting for them to stop looking.
I walked around, the sounds of water following with each step I took. When I looked into the distance, it was endless. Nothing. Just me, myself, and I.
At least that's what I thought, until something grabbed my ankle. No, seriously, that scared the hell out of me.
"WHAT THE FUCK—" I yelled before a hand clasped around my mouth, cutting me off.
I tried to rip the hand off of me. But even this weird 'strength' I was gifted with, didn't help in this situation.
"Oh my god, can you stop struggling already?! I tried to scare you but you seriously almost destroyed my ear drums." An unfamiliar voice said behind me. I froze
I turned my head around as far as the human body could to see who it was. I swear I just got blinded, and quickly closed my eyes.
"Oh, sorry about that. I forgot to turn my brightness down. One second, mortal!" The bright person told me. Was it the embodiment of the sun or something? ..No, it was brighter.
"You can open your eyes now." It told me. I hesitated, but opened my eyes again. Ah, much better. I couldn't see any human features since it literally just had a glowing white layer covering it, but I could see it had the shape of one.
"Are you not going to say anything?" It questioned me. Um, hello? Come back down to earth?
I looked at it, annoyed. It then realized why I wasn't saying anything. "Ohh.. sorry, sorry.." It apologized and removed its hand from me. TATAKAE!
"Finally! I thought you were kidnapping me there for a second." I crossed my arms.
It awkwardly laughed. "Uh, sorry, I didn't mean to scare you—" It looked up at me. I can't even see its eyes, so I just assumed it did.
I raised an eyebrow. "Oh, really? You should've thought about that before grabbing my ankle like that. Especially muting me?"
It sighed. "Yeah, that's my fault, obviously.. um. You're (Name), right? I'm just making sure I got the right person." It pointed to me.
I slowly nodded. "Uh, yeah. I'm not even going to question how you know my name, but, what do you mean by 'right person'?" I asked it.
It stayed quiet for a while. The silence was awfully loud right now.
"Ah, well, it would make logical sense why you would be confused.. want me to explain it to you?" The figure asked me
This thing is slow. I think that everyone who came to a weird dimension in their sleep where water doesn't make you wet would want an explanation.
"Of course I want an explanation.. I don't know where the fuck I am and why i'm here." I groaned. Now that I think about it, this is like that one book I read where—
"No problem! So to summarize it, you're special. Somehow.." It whispered the last part.
"What was that?!—" I spoke, but it cut me off.
"You remember that charm thing your mother bought you, right?" It put its hands on its hips. I think? I can't really make it out..
I nodded. "Yeah, why? Wait. Did you have something to do with that?" A look of confusion took over my expression. That charm.. i'm pretty confident that the button on the back of it is the reason I got sent here. That was terrifying..
It clapped its hands. "Oh! You got it right! Yes, the charm was actually something of my making. I've made a few other charms, but it seems you got hold of the One Piece universe charm. Good for you!" I could tell it had a smile on its face right now.
I paused. "Wait, you've made multiple? So, i'm not the only one going through this.." I shut my eyes. "What the hell are you?.." I started to feel.. nervous. Like, not safe.
It simply laughed. "Easy, really. I'm a supernatural being. I can do whatever I want. Oh, don't worry about your family, by the way. They are fine. When you got sent here, I made an exact copy of you to replace you." It proudly said.
"Wow, thanks, that makes me feel so much better!" I sarcastically said, throwing my hands up. Sure, there was another me so my family wouldn't be worried about me disappearing. But, it's not.. real.
The figure noticed I was feeling down in the dumps, and sighed. Well, it felt some sympathy at least. Who would've thought.
"Look, human. I gifted you with inhuman strength so you can survive in this universe. That answers your question about where it came from, right?" It informed me.
"Well, yeah. But why would I need strength if I'm not even doing anything except helping around a village? I'm not a pirate, or anything." I asked.
It put a glowing hand on my shoulder. "Trust me, (Name). That's not all there is to your new life here." It told me. My head perked up at that.
"Wait, what do you mean by that?" I questioned, genuinely wanting to know.
It laughed at my quick response. "That's for me to know, and you to find out!" It then stepped away from me, standing directly in front of me.
"I'll be sending you back now. I wish you the best of luck!" It saluted me.
I gasped, standing up right. "Wait! I have more questio—!"
And before I knew it, I blacked out again.

"..!"
My ears were ringing.
"(Name)!"
Huh?
"(Name), I will punch you!"
What the fuck is this person saying? My eyes aren't opening. Who is that?
(SMACK)
Then my eyes opened, and I jolted up. The ringing in my ears was gone.
"Ah, (Name), you're awake!"
"Huh..?" My eyes looked over to the voice. "Oh, Ace." I rubbed my eyes, which were struggling to stay open.
He was smiling at me, but it was soon replaced with a look of concern. "Hey, you were asleep for a while. You good?" He asked me.
Awh, he's worried about me!— snap out of it (Name)!
"Yeah..— yeah i'm fine." I smiled at him.
He started to smile again. Can I propose like right now? Skip the part with building trust and all?
No? Okay.
Then I started hearing low muffled voices in the cave we were in. Ace looked back in the direction of where they were coming from, and I did as well.
Wait a minute—
Ace sweat-dropped, and he looked back at me. "Uh, (Name)?—"
I then hit him upside the head.
"Ace!! You kidnapped my little sister?!" I shouted at him as he rubbed the area I hit. He kidnapped Kid, and tied her up, oh my god. This will not stand.
Ace was quick to move back a little, muttering complaints from me hitting him. Kid's eyes lit up when she saw me. She had tears in her eyes, and no matter how fond I am of Ace I will not tolerate that.
Ace put his hands up in surrender, looking at me. "No! It's not like that, (Name)! I didn't kidnap her, I just—"
"I don't want to hear it! You made her cry." I calmed down a little, but my fists were still clenched.
He sighed. "Look— I apologize, I didn't know she was your sister.. and I thought she would run off and tell the rest of your village I was here." He said in a calm tone.
"..Hmph." I stuck my tongue out at him and got up, walking over to where Kid was tied up. I crouched down and untied her, and also the rope that prevented her from talking. Where did Ace even get a rope? His ass?
When Kid was untied, she jumped on me and tears fell from her eyes. "(Name)!! I thought you got hurt—! A—And—" She stammered.
I smiled and wrapped my arms around her, rubbing her back gently. "Shh, it's okay, i'm okay.." I whispered to her.
She cried into my shoulder, slowly calming down. I sighed and looked over at Ace. "I get that you were worried, but you didn't need to tie her up.." I said.
He looked down, still rubbing his head.
"Sorry.." He apologized again.
I looked down at Kid, and she had stopped crying. She looked up at Ace, and hesitated before jumping from my hold and sitting down.
"What's up Kid?" I asked.
Ace raised his eyebrow at the name, but I shushed him before he could say anything about it.
She rubbed her eyes and looked back at me. "Who is he, (Name)?" She pointed over to Ace.
"Oh, he's my friend, Ace." I answered.
"..But isn't he a.. pirate?" She asked me. She was worried about me being friends with him. Makes sense.
Ace looked back at me, apparently also waiting for what I would say. I don't think he was expecting me to say we were friends, but he smiled a little at that.
I thought about what to say. "Well, Ace is really nice, actually! I'm sorry he tied you up, but he won't do it again. Right, Ace?" I glared at him.
He looked at Kid and laughed. "Yeah. You can trust me." He gave her a thumbs up with a grin.
"..I-I forgive you.." She muttered and then smiled up at Ace.
I then thought about something. Since Kid was here..
"Hey, sis?" I said. She redirected her attention towards me, curious.
"The village seems to be against Ace being on the island. They have known you for a couple years now, so they obviously trust you more than me.. so.." I thought about my request.
Ace also looked at me at the mention of his name.
"I was wondering, maybe if you help, the villagers will be fine with Ace on the island? At least for a little while, until he leaves. What do you think?" I looked to Kid, and we made eye contact.
She hummed and looked around in thought. "U-Uh.. sure!" She smiled up at me, and I smiled back at her.
"You never disappoint me, Kid." I pat her on the head and she giggled at the affection.
"Alright, let's go!" I said, enthusiastically. Ace smiled at my excitement.

Ace and I walked into the clearing with Kid as she held my hand. We looked around to see if any of the villagers were close by, and luckily they weren't. Thank god.
We walked through the vegetation, staying aware of our surroundings. We walked through the bushes and out into the open field, where the village could be seen in the distance.
"Ace, there's a question i've been meaning to ask you," I looked to him. And he looked back at me.
"Hm?" He answered in response.
"When the villagers were chasing you down with uh, rakes, why didn't you fight back? Not like I wanted you to, but why not?" I said, actually wondering as to why not.
He cleared his throat. "Well, my lovely (Name)—"
Excuse me?
"—In the end, they are really just defending their village, and I don't blame them for acting out. I'm a pirate after all, they probably thought I was going to burn the island down, hah." He answered. Um, hasn't he done that before, though?
Kid took into notice that he called me 'lovely', and looked up at the two of us.
"(Name), is he your boyfriend?" She asked with a bright smile.
I snapped my head towards her and Ace's ears turned red as his jaw dropped at the question.
"WHAT—" I yelped, before a bunch of rakes pointed at us.
"Caught you, Fire Fist! There's no where to run now!" One of the villagers said, proudly.
Where the fuck did they come from?
"He's taken (Name) and Kid as hostages! Get him!" They yelled as they started to charge towards Ace. But they stopped once Kid stepped in front of Ace, and I was in a defensive stance if something went wrong.
"Stop it! He's (Name)'s friend!" She said with a high pitched voice. The villagers froze.
"(Name), dear? What does she mean by 'friend'?" One of the women of the village asked me.
I sighed and looked at her. "Well, what Kid said is true. Ace is my friend." I repeated.
I'm having a main character moment. This is giving Gon and Killua, not gonna lie.
"He's not going to hurt any of you. He's just passing through. Right, Ace?" I asked him.
He nodded. "I mean, if they don't mind, I would like to stay for a little longer. Besides, I like your company, (Name)!" He gave me a closed eye smile.
"Awh, stop, i'm blushing!" I joked as I twirled around, and he snickered at my reaction.
The villagers were frozen. They stared at our interaction in confusion. They are really nice people, I wouldn't be surprised if they trusted him that easily—
"Alright! We trust you, Fire Fist!" They said, smiling at him, and they all lowered their weapons.
Wait, what? I didn't actually think that they would..
"Yayy!! Ace!" Kid hopped around Ace in joy. He warmly smiled down at her and rubbed her head.
"Wow, I didn't expect it would be that easy.." I scratched the back of my neck.
Ace agreed. "Yeah. That was quick.."
Kid then grabbed his hand and started to lead him into the village. "Come on, (Name)'s boyfriend! My mommy will want to meet you!!" She exclaimed. I grumbled and followed the two. The villagers started going back to whatever, as if they weren't hunting down Ace a few seconds ago.. weird.
"He's not my— ugh, whatever.." I managed to get out, running after them.
