(Lily's P.O.V)
"Were almost there."
Sasuke says as we walk on the water that's around the hideout.
"Can I ask you something, Sasuke?"
Suigetsu asks.
"What is it?"
"Why are you forming a team?"
"I have a goal. And having a team would let me reach that goal faster. Ever since I joined up with Orochimaru, I've been preparing for when this would happen. I have been carefully selecting the most powerful ninja that catch my eye."
"Oh.. So why would you choose Karin? You could do better. Unlike me, she's a follower of Orochimaru. She's the warden of the whole southern hideout where Orochimaru kept his test subjects locked up."
Suigetsu pauses to take a drink of his water.
"Though she claimed that she was only following Orochimaru's orders, she personally experimented on me multiple times. But most of all, I don't like that personality of hers."
"There may be plenty of ninja who are just as strong and far easier to handle. However, she has a special power, one that no one else I know possess."
"That's true, I guess she has that going for her."

We get to the door and we find out that it's locked. Sasuke turns and looks at Suigetsu.
"What?"
Suigetsu asks. Sasuke then looks at Suigetsu's sword.
"Uh, you have one too, Sasuke."
Suigetsu points at his katana, then mine.
"And so does Lily."
"Yours is better suited for this task."
Sasuke says. Suigetsu sighs then grabs his sword.
"Open sesame!"
Suigetsu yells as he cuts down the door. He puts his sword back and we walk in. We walk by the prisoners while they stayed quiet, at least until we were gone. As we continued down the hall, someone steps in front of us, making us stop.
"I knew it was you, Sasuke."
"Karin... It's been awhile."
I say, but she ignores me like usual.
"Sasuke, if you're here by yourself, then that can only mean one thing, the rumors about Orochimaru's death are true."
"Uhh hello, Lily and I are standing right here you know."
Suigetsu says, but Karin ignores him as well.
"Well, why have you come here, Sasuke?"
'Wow, she likes saying Sasuke, doesn't she. Looks like he just got himself another fangirl. -_-'
"Sasuke came here because he wants to talk to you."
"And we don't wanna stand out here to talk, so take us somewhere we can sit, okay? I'm tired, I haven't walked this far in a long time."
I say then Suigetsu finishes.
"You wanna talk? Talk, Sasuke."
'Well now she's not ignoring us completely...'
Suigetsu gets mad and walks up to Karin.
"I said we don't wanna do this out in the hall, so just take us inside right now. Don't think that I don't know that you're just trying to ignore me here, Karin."
"Hmph!"
Karin sniffs Suigetsu.
"You disgust me."
"What did you say!?"
Sasuke and I walk up to them.
"Cut it out, you two. Karin, take us to a room, now."
'Took him long enough to shut them up.'
"Alright, come on!"
Karin turns around and starts walking down the hall. Sasuke and I follow, while Suigetsu stops for a second the catches up and walks next to me.

"Karin, come with me. I need you on my team."
Sasuke says while sitting on the couch. I'm leaning on the wall next to Sasuke and Suigetsu is sitting on the other side of the couch.
"Huh?! Why should I go with you? I have responsibilities, I run this place!"
Karin shouts while standing in front of us.
"Orochimaru is gone now."
"So, there's still a lot of prisoners here."
"Speaking of which, they were awfully quiet when we walked by them. They must know that Orochimaru is dead. That news had to have reached here by now."
Suigetsu mentions.
"I've noticed that the number of prisoners is slightly smaller than it was the last time I was here. When we came in, I also noticed signs of recent digging in the grounds near the front of the entrance to this hideout. Karin, I know that you possess a razor sharp intellect, and that you're an expert in controlling information."
Sasuke says.
"Now that you mention it..."
I quietly say as I look between Sasuke and Karin.
"Of course. Rumors about Orochimaru's death started spreading among the prisoners. So in order to avoid a riot, and having them try to escape, you put some sort of plan in place. Isn't that right?"
Suigetsu looks at Karin then continues.
"You planted a spy among the inmates so if anyone starts asking about Orochimaru... Well, you know."
"Karin, it's your cautious nature which has maintained order in this prison for so long. Or rather... Kept you alive."
"Hey, you don't have to put that way you now, Sasuke!"
Karin says, mad.
"You've been trained by Orochimaru, all right. You're scary. You probably sensed our presence long ago. And you've probably thought up half a dozen ways to kill us."
"I would have if it was just you, Suigetsu."
"But not Sasuke or Lily, huh? Especially Sasuke"
Suigetsu smirks.
"I didn't say that, idiot! Sasuke and Lily are my colleagues. Besides, I wanted to know if the rumors were really true. I wanted to find out if Sasuke killed Orochimaru."
Karin says then looks over at Sasuke.
"I killed him"
Sasuke says, sounding board.
"How can you say that so casually!?"
Karin yells and Sasuke ignores her and turns to me.
"Lily, Suigetsu... I want you both to go out there and release everyone that is held prisoner here."
"Wha-!?"
*Sigh* "Do you always have to order people around?"
"Quit complaining, Suigetsu. Let's go."
I say as I push myself off the wall.
"Yeah, yeah."
Suigetsu stands up.
"You can't just come her and take over! You have no idea what I went through to maintain order! Besides, you need the keys to let them out!"
Karin yells and I smirk.
"You mean these?"
I hold up the keys and her mouth drops.
"Suigetsu, think fast."
I toss the keys to Suigetsu and he catches them while smirking.
"W-when did you..."
Karin says, still looking shocked.
"A while ago. I can't believe that you never noticed."
"Why you!"
"Without prisoners, there won't be need for a warden. I'll ask you once more. Join me, Karin."
Sasuke asks again. They look at each other in silence.
"Well this is entertaining, but I'm going to release the prisoners now. You coming, Lily?"
Suigetsu says then picks up his sword and walks towards the door.
"Yeah, yeah I'm coming."
I walk up to Suigetsu.
"I'm not going! I don't owe you anything, so I'm staying right here!"
Karin yells as Suigetsu opens the door and we both walk out smirking. I close the door after I walk out.
"So how long do you think it will be until she changes her mind?"
Suigetsu asks as we walk down the hall.
"She probably already did."
"Yeah probably. She always acts weird around him."
We both smirks again as we get to the cages where the prisoners are.
"What are you guys doing here?"
One of the prisoners asks.
"We're here to get Karin."
I tell them with a bored tone.
"I knew it! The rumors that Sasuke killed Orochimaru are true, right?"
"Yup, that's right."
Suigetsu says as he squats in front of the cell door.
"What's gonna happen to us now?"
"You're all free to go of course."
"A-are you sure?!"
Another prisoner asks.
"Yeah... Orochimaru once kept me imprisoned, and she was his slave. But as you can see, we're free now."
"Was it really necessary to tell them that, Suigetsu? And how did you know?"
"Not everyone was dumb enough to believe that you were on his side willingly."
'He's got me there..'
"Yeah, yeah. Just hurry up."
Suigetsu nods then holds up the keys.
"I'm going to unlock your cell, but before I do, I have a favor to ask."
"Yeah of course! Ask anything!"
"Good... Sasuke Uchiha defeated Orochimaru and freed us all. Once you're out, make sure everyone knows that. Spread the word that a man is now among us who will bring stability and peace."
Suigetsu unlocks the cell and the prisoners come out.
"Got it!"
They all yell then run out the hideout. I turn around and start walking back to the room, Suigetsu catches up with me as we go back.

"That woman!"
Suigetsu says as he shakes the door handle.
"What's wrong, Suigetsu?"
"Karin locked the door from the inside."
*Sigh* "Looks like we're gonna have to knock the door down."
"Looks like..."
Suigetsu grabs his sword and I stand next to him.
"On three."
He nods.
"One... Two... Three!"
I kick the door while Suigetsu uses his sword. We see Sasuke still sitting in the same place and Karin is on the other side of the room.
"I hope that didn't chip my blade."
"Your blade is fine, Suigetsu."
I roll my eyes then put my leg back down from kicking the door.
"Karin turned you down, didn't she?"
Suigetsu asks as he leans on his sword.
"No, not quite. It seams she's coming with us after all."
Sasuke says as he turns to look at us.
"W-who said I'm coming?! I just... I just happened to be going in the same direction. That's all, nothing else!"
Suigetsu and I look at each other and smirk, then we look at Karin.
"Oh, how nice. Then we can travel partway together."
Suigetsu mocks, knowing that she's lying. Karin pushes her glasses back up her nose.
"Yeah, just part of the way!"
"Alright... Let's go get Jugo."
I say as I walk over to Sasuke.
"What?! You want Jugo to join the team?!"
"Why should you care, you're only going part of the way."
Karin stomps over to Suigetsu, glaring daggers at him.
"You're right, I don't care. But I can still ask. Want a piece of me, you jerk!"
Sasuke gets up and stands next to me.
"Let's go."
Sasuke says, making Suigetsu and Karin stop fighting.
"Yeah, sure."
"I'll go!"
Suigetsu and Karin tell Sasuke. He nods then turns to me.
"Ready, Lily?"
I nod. He smirks then we walk out of the hideout. As soon as we see daylight, Karin and Suigetsu start fighting again. I sigh then roll my eyes.
'They're acting like little kids..'
I think to myself as a hand gets put on my right shoulder.
"Sorry about them."
I look over to see the owner of the hand and voice. And it turns out to be none other then the Uchiha himself. I give him a soft smile.
"Don't worry, I'll get used to them. I mean, I did the same with you."
"Very funny, Lily."
Sasuke says with a playfull glare.
"You know it!"
I smirk, then gave him a light punch in the shoulder before walking ahead.
"Heh, she's still the same. I'm glad."
I hear Sasuke whisper to himself, but I hear him clearly. I notice that my cheeks are warm, I just smile and continued to walk in front of everyone else.
'Well, this is getting interesting. I cant wait until we add Jugo to the mix.'
