Ja'More "Cash" Richardson

*pronounced Juh-More

"I deleted her number, her head was horrible.." Rylo Rodriguez played as Cash drove.

"You feeling better?" Cash asked his little brother, JD.

"Mhm, we getting them niggas tonight." JD told him.

Cash shook his head, he'd just picked his brother up from the surgeon lady's house, and JD was already talking about killing.

That used to be Cash too, but now he was into a more legal pathway, he flipped real estate.. although he did a little scamming here and there.

"Aye bruh, I could really set you up wit some folks.. get you away from all this." Cash told him.

JD shook his head, "No offense, but Cash you chose yo way.. I'm choosing mine. Ion need you constantly telling me the same shit."

"Ight man, where I'm taking you?" Cash sighed.

"Slide me by mama crib. I need to pick sum up."

Cash scrunched up his face, "Nigga you got a stash in my mama house?"

"She my mama too.. and sheon know bout it."

"Ion care.. you ever see me do some shit like that? Huh?"

JD just ignored him as he texted back his friend to set up for tonight.

Cash eyed him as they reached a red light.

JD grew up watching him live that lifestyle, he even watched Cash go to jail and get put into a coma. Despite all that, JD was still following in his big brother's steps.

But the difference is, Cash got out.

Unfortunately, he saw no sign of JD being close to finished with the life.

"Get yo shit out my mama house, and don't let me find out it's there again. You hear me?" Cash spoke as they pulled into her driveway.

JD shook his head, "Ight man."

"I'm serious, feds come looking for you and they find shit in her house.. what's gon happen? You gon let yo own mama go down for you?"

JD stayed silent as he got out of the car.

Cash stayed in the car for a few more minutes, until he got out to see his mom.

"Wassup mama, wassup aunty?" Cash smiled as he entered the kitchen.

"Hey Ja." His aunty Keisha spoke

His mom, Brittany, smiled widely as she made her towards him. "Hi baby."

"How you been?" He asked.

"Good.. thank you for the money. But baby, you know I don't need it. I'm still working and you pay all my bills."

He shook his head, "It don't matter.. ain you say you wanted that new Audi? Go put a payment down on it."

"Oh baby, I was just playing."

"Nah, you wasn't.. just go get the car." He said looking at her sternly.

She mugged him, "Don't be forgetting who the mama is."

"Whatever." He chuckled.

"So what's the word on that baby?" His aunt asked as she came out the kitchen.

Cash sighed as the smile left his face.

"We got the test done.. just gotta wait til later on this week since it's the weekend." He told them.

"What y'all make?" He asked, since it was Sunday.

"Mmm, Keisha cooked today. She did some pot roast, mashed potatoes, and cornbread." His mom said.

His smile instantly reappeared.

"Aunty, make me a plate please? I'm bout to head out."

"Of course, baby."

Slim🖤

"Hey everyone!" Slim called out as she made it into her dad's house.

"Slim!" Her little sister, Kiori, cheesed as she came down the stairs.

"Wassup girl, where yo daddy?"

"In the kitchen wit mama, she cooking." Kiori gossiped.

Slim gasped, "Ain she say she was done?"

"That's what she said.." Kiori rolled her eyes.

"Y'all ain gon ever leave each other alone, huh?" Slim said as she walked into the kitchen.

Her dad immediately mugged her.

"Don't you gotta house?"

"Yes?" Slim answered, mugging him back.

"Ight then, worry bout that household."

"Kelvin, don't be mean to my chirren." Her mom, Kia said, popping his arm.

"All y'all could really get the fuck out." He mumbled.

"Daddy.. didn't you beg mama to come over?" Kiori asked.

He looked up, "Yea but I told her she had to leave you home. Just can't wait til you 18, 2 more years to go!"

"Why are you being so rude today?" Slim asked as she moved to sit in his lap.

"Y'all started wit me." He said, before wrapping his arms around her. "How you been?"

"Good, I just wanted to see you.. and I guess mommy too since she here." Slim smiled.

"So I'm an afterthought?" Kia asked her daughter.

"Nooooo.. I just didn't know you'd be here."

"But still, you came over to yo daddy house looking for him, when you haven't been by mine in like two weeks."

"You not gon win that, babygirl."

Slim dramatically sighed, "No.. daddy you just need to stop moving out the house."

Her parents were toxic.. something she hoped to never be with her significant other.

One day they were happy and living together, then the next day, her dad would be moving out.

It became so routine that he'd bought another house. Nevertheless, her mom was always at his house.

"What you making?" Kiori asked their mom.

"Paella, it's almost done." Kia told them.

"One thing about it, my wife not no Alfredo warrior.." Kelvin smiled.

"Oh now she yo wife.." Kiori shook her head as their mom smiled.

"Mommy, can you put mine up to go?" Slim asked as she stood from her dad's lap.

"Yea, where you bout to go?"

"Red and Dior invited me over." She told them.

The two were cousins, and rented a house together.

"Oh okay, hmm bring them these plates." Kia said placing foil wrap on three plates.

"Holon, ion got money to just be feeding everyone kids." Her dad said eyeing the food.

"But you got money to buy a whole nother house.." Kiori mumbled.

"Oh hush, Kel. There's more than enough."

"Ight y'all, I'm out! I love you guys."

Kelvin smiled as he dug into his pocket, "Hmm."

Slim immediately smiled as she accepted the 5 crisp 100 dollar bills. "Thank you, big dawg. I'll fuck witcha later."
