"it's been so long!" Kendall says

we show the moms the hiphop number we learnt over the break
"this really screamed hiphop..look at this part" Melissa says
Abby then walks into the studio
she rips of two headshots assumingly Brooke and Paige's
and throws them in the trash
"i'm not doing a pyramid right now" Abby says
"i'm angry at the people who aren't here, i'm very disappointed and i'm also angry at the people who are here we had six group numbers..some of you know two of them, some of you know one of them that's not going to be a winning number"
"last season you all had two solos ready to go before we ever started our competition season i didn't find out that people weren't here until the choreographers called me and said hey it was kinda hard to get a great number together when only two kids were there that makes me look bad"
Abby then rips all the other headshots off the mirror
"no pyramid"
"but Abby how can you throw away all that they worked for last year?" Holly asks

"girls..no pyramid"
Abby throws our headshots in the trash
"this weekend we will be travelling to Denver Colorado to attend Intensity Dance i want you to be the first to know that i'm gonna hold an audition I'm replacing Brooke and Paige, you'll be nice and wonderful and kind to whoever the people are." Abby says and she walks out

"okay so every free minute you have for the next two weeks you need to be working on these numbers" Abby says
Chloe raises her hand
"what about solos?" Chloe asks
"Chloe you were on top of the pyramid, you were the national winner..it's the first week back you should be doing a solo you should be defending that title..but i don't know if i'm gonna do solos..don't ask me about the solos again i don't know what i'm doing" Abby says
"this is the group routine and you and you and Paige were demons..and you and you and you and Brooke were angels" Abby points to Nia and Kendall then to Chloe, me and Maddie
"so now Chloe's the angel and you're all demons..see how people not showing up affected you"

today is the audition and i'm devastated that Brooke and Paige is being replaced..

"Kendall has a solo" Jill comes in saying
"hey girls..i worked on some music and i gave some thought on who was here and who did what they were supposed to do..and i'm going to start a solo with Kendall it's called It Girl you need to get yourself ready that's what i'm gonna start with..i want everybody else working on the group routine" Abby says

two girls named Ava and Ally come in..but at the end Abby only goes with one of them

"Paige said that producers where at her house yesterday" Chloe says as mom drives to the studio
"for what?" i ask
"for the show." Chloe says
"i thought Kelly was leaving..like for real" i say
"no, they said no she just isn't allowed back to the studio but she's on the show" mom says
"Miss Abby is going to crucify them and it's not their fault" i say
"just gives her more of a reason" mom sighs as she pulls into the parking lot
we head into the studio and me and Chloe go into the dancers den
"we have arrived!" i sing song
"hey!" Maddie sings back
"have we missed anything?" Chloe asks
"Ally, the new girl came..i think Abbys teaching her a solo." Kendall says
"ah okay" i say

"you're the national title holder..but you aren't a petite anymore you're right up against Maddie and Chloe, it's not going to be as easy as you've had it for two years" Abby says
i nod
"so your solo is entitled Never Grow Up because you don't want to grow up as it gets harder and harder, you might not have that winning streak you've had..let's go"
i learn my solo and it's to the song Never Grow Up by Taylor Swift
it's a really nice solo but Abby has so much pressure on me
"alright..this better be flawless because you're up against Maddie."

so..Chloe got replaced even after Abby telling her she will still have her part in the group..
Abby says it's because she isn't the tallest anymore but i honestly think she didn't want Chloe to be the lead
here's the rundown of the rehearsal
Abby might give Ally the group as a solo, but then Holly came down and got mad because then Nia won't be dancing
and then Abby took a fit.
|Competition Day|
we arrive at the competition and we head to the dressing room
"oh finally we have a dance studio!" Abby says
we set up our tables and i start my makeup for my solo
"girls remember, you're the national champions so on your best behaviour i don't want to see any bratty baby crying, got it?"
mom does my hair in a bun
"Abby are solos first?" Jill asks
"solos are first" Abby nods
"since solos are first did um..can we get some guidance about the group number? because.." Holly asks
"i didn't even think about it..i haven't even thought about it until i see everybody today" Abby says
"well you won't see Nia perform today because she doesn't have a solo" Holly says
"Chloe and Camila, you both are national title holders and i have stressed that to the both of you and even though your mother has insisted you didn't miss anything over the break i'm still telling you both..you are not where you were at the end of last season and that's what breaks our four" Abby says
she's mad that people have said i'm better than Maddie.
obviously i'm not but she's mad that people sees me as such..and she just hates Chloe.
i get into my costume and it's pretty

we then go backstage for the solos
"good luck, you'll be great" i hug Maddie
Maddie enters for her solo
and she nails it
she was absolutely amazing
mom then pulls me and Chloe aside and we sit on the stairs
"i just wanted to talk to you both for a minute and i know Abby keeps saying you're not the same Chloe or you're not the same Camila..you guys aren't i think you are a better Chloe and Camila..and you know she keeps saying to Maddie and Kendall..are you going to let Chloe beat you again or are you gonna let Camila beat you? it's not always about winning it's about improving so i just want you both to focus on doing this dance and you both just won nationals this is your first solos back so don't think oh i need go out there and win..think of it as victory performance and you're going to go out there and show everyone wny you guys won..okay" mom says
i smile and she gives us a hug
i take Chloes hand and we walk backstage
"i know Abby always said..you have to win or you're not good or whatever...but we both know we are good so let's just go show her why people think we're good because then mom can go back and shove it right in her face" i smile
Chloe laughs
"welcome to the stage Camila with Never Grow Up" the announcer says
i enter the stage and my music starts
i perform my solo and i do the best i can
because i want to show why i won nationals
i do my turns and i think they were clean
i do my ending pose and i exit the stage
Maddie gives me a hug
Chloe performs her solo next
and she did so well
Abby is totally wrong
she's a better Chloe
i give Chloe a hug
"good job Chlo" Kendall says
"i forgot it." Chloe says
"you forgot it? where?" Maddie asks
"when i did the turns" Chloe says
"i didn't even notice" i say
"i didn't even know" Kenzie adds
"Abby is..she knows" Chloe says
"Chlo i promise no one knew..the judges didn't know" i say
we head back to the dressing room
"woohoo!" Abby says
she gives me and Chloe a hug
then she gives Maddie a hug
"so Melissa she definitely improved over the break either that or she's been paying attention to uh little miss Ally over there"
"Camila, you did not dance like you did last season. you need to be consistent."
i nod
"Chloe the turns you didn't do the right turns..you didn't do the tsshshshs down you did another turn that was amazing but Chloe someday it's gonna matter someday you need to remember the choreography the it is giving to you..you changed something in the choreography and you forget and you put something else in..in a real show when you are a professional that doesn't work that's you get fired hire somebody else..understood?"
Kendall is the next solo to perform
i think she nailed it
she does really well with jazz
we go back to the dressing room
"good job Kendall K" mom says
"okay Kendall what did you think." Abby asks
mom starts my hair for the group
"i thought it was good, i thought it was entertaining i thought it was fun..but you know what you were the one was there during the break you were the one improving the one that had the privates i think you would've blown Maddie, Camila and Chloe out of the water...that's what i think"
"absolutely" Jill says
"good answer Jill you're learning." Abby says
"so i'm glad you put the group costume on because you can do the group dance..i have to think about the team and soemt8,ea Holly it's better to not dance and sit in the audience then go out and not be ready"
i get my costume on and i start to stretch
we go backstage for the group
"first group of the season..let's go" Kendall says
"act number 20, please welcome to the stage Angel and Demons" the announcer says
Ally starts the number out first then we all enter
i think we all did a great job and i think we will win!
"when Abby does a high clap that means it was good" Maddie says
"yeah" Kendall nods
"glad she thinks we were good" i say
we go back to the dressing room and the moms clap
Abby comes back and hugs us
"and my new angel..yay!" Abby says as she hugs Ally
Mackenzie is the last solo to perform
and she did really good
but her bow fell out and i know that threw her off
so i hope Abby isn't mad
"i forgot." Kenzie cries
"you were great! don't cry" Maddie says and she hugs Kenz
"Kenz you did it!" Maddie adds
"it wasn't even good cause i didn't know what to do..Abbys gonna nit let me go on another trip" Kenzie says
"yes she is Mackenzie" Maddie says
"you were great! you still finished the dance!" i hug Kenzie
we go back to the dressing room and Kenzie goes to Melissa
"Mackenzie..what's going on? i thought we talked about no crying." Abby says as she comes in
"i wasn't crying" Kenzie says
"you were crying offstage yes you were" Abby says

"congratulations..wow that was another clean sweep! Mackenzie don't get a big head it's the start of the season there was not that many people against you" Abby says
"thank you Ally for being a good addition to our team..girls do you see what it's like to have somebody that's inspiring and wants to work hard and is there..you know that just isn't Brooke and Paige sorry"
"but maybe they're reacting to the way you talk to them..maybe you should've been more encouraging" mom says
"maybe i should've done a lot of things but you know what, maybe i should get a thank you year after year her kid won a title now she fucked all over that title..excuse me ladies i don't swear infront of children but you know what that's what they did over the title over the competition that was holding the title everything..and you don't do that not in this business" Abby says
"and you just cursed infront of our children and you" mom starts
"that's right" Abby nods

i look down
"you're always so eager to get rid of people..this entire team has made a commitment" mom says
