As we started driving, I was in my head about Emma wondering who she wanted me to meet. I hope it's that mysterious boyfriend who she keeps talking about but im still a little stress about eveyrhting
"Hey loosen up, it's fine" Alex whispers smiling
"Sorry, just a bit stressed" I let him know
"I know, so this cafe. have you been there before" he asks
"Yeah, its right by my university. Every single day I got a coffee from this cafe, they have yummy iced vanilla latte's oh and yummy brownies"
"Should we get some then" he asks
"Ya im starving" I whisper and right on cue my stomach growls so fucking loud, its embarrassing
"Allison what did you have this morning?" he asks
"Nothing, I woke up at 2 and you weren't there which was not nice of you" I pout
"Im sorry peach, I had an early morning meeting this morning and you looked way too peaceful to wake up" he sounded sad about not waking me up
"Are you sad that you didn't wake me up?" I ask
"Not sad but I like cuddles in the morning with you or bickering with you" he says
i smilie in return
"Wait, you haven't had any food" he asks
"Nope, im starving"
"Allison this isn't something I expect from you"
"Im sorry" I whisper softly
"Al, do I have to monitor you 24/7 or should I bring you with to the office?" He asks
"I like the second option, I mean I don't like being alone at home anyways" I let him know even though he knows
The past months whenever he could, he took me to the office with him, not that it was any different but I knew if I needed him, he would be down the hallway. Jaxson has been on vacation with his girlfriend so I have been getting more time with Alex which I am thankful for
"Why didn't you just tell me?" He asks
"Tell you what?" I ask turning my head to look at him
He looks good when he drives, and not just handsome good, but I want you so fucking bad good if that makes sense. I wonder how he'd look in a hat, particularly a backwards hat
"Tell me that you wanted to come with me"
"Alex, I don't like being alone at home and I want to be with you all the time. I like the office so much, not just the vibes or the books, I like knowing I'm right down the hall from you and if anyone or anything were to harm me, you would get to me, you could save me" I pour my heart out to him letting him know of the real reason

"Like proofread?" I ask just to make sure
"Yes, exactly proofread, you can write little notes and changes you would wish for. and just so you know its not stressful at all because there are about 20- 25 proofreaders and the author takes the combine feedback" that does sound like something I would enjoy
"Mhm yeah, id wanna give it a try" I whisper
"Starting tom" he says bossily
"Hey I am still your wife, keep that tone for your employees"
"Well technically I am your boss too since you do wanna take the job" he says smirking, his signature smirk, it's like he does it involuntarily

"Fucks sake, Allison, what am I going to do with you" he laughs
"Im not sure but it better be good things" I say opening the console in his car
"In the arm rest" he says as if knowing what exactly I am looking for and he knew actually because as I open the arm rest console, I find a chocolate bar in there and not just any, it was a white chocolate bar with strawberry things in it which is my favourite but I'm not sure how he knows
"quit running that brain, and take a few bites, we are almost there" he says
i didn't need to be told twice because I was starving, I take a few bites and heard Alex laughing because he was laughing at me stuffing my face. I broke a few peices off of the chocolate
"Open your mouth" I ask him
"Oh are you getting kinky with me?" He asked playfully
"Shut up Xan and do as you are told"
"Oh that is kinky, domination" he whispers making my eyes go wide
"ALEXANDER" I scream
"Jeez woman, fine" he says opening his mouth, I place the broken piece in his mouth
We were pulling up to the cafe when my phone rang and it was Emma so I didn't bother picking up because I was literally getting out of the car.
"Al stop running, you will fall" I heard Alex as he grabs my arm
"She is waiting" was all I said
"And she can wait one more minute, its only 5:05, calm down"
"Alex she doesn't like it when im late" I whisper remembering how pissed off she got that one time I was late to this party because she missed one of the hot guys going in
"Peach stop" he says as he stops walking making me stop too because he was holding my hand
his eyes are so expressive sometimes, it's different and I wonder if he has control over showing his expressions.
"Alex she doesn't play nice when im late and I want to be in the best mood when I go to the party with you, it's important to you" I whisper
"Shh believe me I will snap her neck if she is mean" his voice held seriousness and no matter how much I enjoyed the possessiveness, I am still a little afraid, not of Alex but of Emma
"Lets not talk about snaping any necks not alone at least and not of my best friend"
"Peach she isn' your best friend"
"shhhh come on" I say entwining my fingers with his as I start walking inside
I look around and find her sitting in a booth making me smile that it was one of the ones we used to sit at. So in university, there was a booth and a table where we sat at, it was our special place. Booth was for when we were happy and table when we had to study or were annoyed
"Hey Emma" I chirp excitedly
"You are late Allison" she snaps back making me step back a little
"Okay and? This isn't some official meeting that she had to be right on the dot for. You should be happy she made time for you" Alex snaps at her
"Stop Xan" I whisper tightening my hold on him
i did hear him growl a little being annoyed but I won't need an angry friend and a upset husband
"Whatever, you didn't need to bring your husband" she says
"I know but we have somewhere we gotta be right after, I told you remember"
"Fine, mhm well I want you to meet my boyfriend" she says
"Ohh finally huh" I say sitting down right beside Alex
"Yeah, I love him and its been perfect so I want you to know who he is"
"If course I wanna know, im so excited" I say but I wasn't that excited, her comments in the beginning had turned me off
"He should be here in a minute, he is just parking" she says
Right of course so he can be late but I can't. There are times I wonder if she is actually my friend and if mama, Alex, dad, even Lilly , Ryan and cam were right about her not being my best friend
"Hey can I grab a chicken salad, a Oreo milkshake and a chicken wrap" Alex orders
"Sure anything else"
"Actually grab me a desert of your choice, not pie" he said
The waiter nods leaving and hearing about the food makes my mouth water, I was hoping he was ordering for me and not jsut himself
"It's for you too peach, don't drool" he whispered kissing my shoulder making me shiver a bit, he doesn't normally do that but its sweet
"I am not drooling" I say
"Yes you are al, I can see the slobber"
"Shh shut up, you are rude" I smack his chest
"Enough getting handsy with your husband" Emma says
"With all due respect Emma, I will get handsy all I want with my husband" I whisper
"Oh my gosh here he is" she yells getting up
I follow her gaze to the door and all the happiness or hope I had for being happy today was done and over with, it went down the drain or the god damn Pacific Ocean.
"Are you kidding me?" i heard myself say to Emma
"This is Rick my boyfriend" she introduces like he wasn't my ex, like what the fuck?
"Woah, Rick as in rick?" Alex whispered to me which I ignored obviously
She knows exactly what went down between him and I, how he treated me but no, she goes ahead and gets with him, for god knows how long. when I was going through my breakup, Emma was there and she told me how much of a dick Rick was but now he is the best fucking boyfriend
Nothing makes sense to me instead, I kinda wanna punch him or stab with a pen or maybe even rip his tiny little microscopic dick out. Oh my god, best option is sawing it off
"Hey Allison" he says with a smirk
"No" I say, my voice firmed then before
"Allison don't be bratty" Emma whispered
"Are you shitting me Emma?" I was furious
"Don't be so entitled Allison, I am happy with rick, he is so perfect to me. Why can't you just be happy for me?" She asks acting so innocent
"You know what Emma, im very happy for you, have a great time with him and ya I wish you guys the best. Oh and thank you for wasting my time" I say grabbing Alex's arm walking out of there
"I have your order here sir" the waiter says to Alex as we were walking out
"Yeah mhm, will you pick pack it to go. Ill pay at the register" he says to the waiter who nods going to pack our stuff
He paid at the register while I try not to punch someone or cry, maybe both at the same time. Grabbing our food we got to the car, he opened my door as usual, as I sank into my seat I couldn't help but close my eyes
