"Intensity Dance was intense, i saw lots of mistakes this was the week every solo needed to strive for perfection this was the last competition before we go to nationals you were duley warned we won that two thousand and eleven national title i want to win it again..now this week we're going to say right here in sunny Los Angeles..but we are going to the most famous zip code" Abby says
"90210!" Melissa beams
"sorry!" Melissa laughs
"we are gonna to 90210 Beverly Hills" Abby says
we all cheer
"we are going to the Energy Dance national invitational, so let's get to the pyramid"
"Paige, you knew you were going to be there you forgot your dance..you have so much more talent then you're able to show A. because of an injury B. because you don't remember what you're doing"
"next Nia, i thought you could've been better i need you to be just as strong at the end as you are in the beginning"
"next i have Chloe, Chloe you've consistently in the top five for most of your life sixth, is not good enough for you"
"Kendall, you came out there strong you were exciting..you were energised your turns were clean your movements were sharp..everything a great jazz dance needs to be, when you started the turns they were a bit sluggish..even your mother pointed that out to me"
"moving along Brooke, you won you were in the overall high scores..proud of you but you know what you're capable of doing more and you're lazy and you're sitting there saying i'm good i can coast im still winning i'm still getting a platinum i can step out there and do one chin stand and get a platinum..that's what i see happening"
"next Camila, second place..you know how i feel about second but worse is you lost to Mackenzie..she was doing a cutesy jazz number and she forgot..she forgot her number and you still lost, what happened to ya kid? because what i saw out there wasn't good enough"
i slowly nod
"next Mackenzie, it's the easy stuff that you mess up..you're backhand spring was great your aerial was great..but this..come on"
"and Maddie, you're on top of the pyramid are you glad to be there?"
"yes" Maddie says
"was it better to win? or better to sit in the audience while everybody else gets better" Abby asks
"it's better to win" Maddie says

"now everybody is in the group rotuine..this group routine is very disturbing and the title is My Last Text, this routine should leave the judges feeling something..Energy dance is allowing us to do five additional routines" Abby says
"Mackenzie you're doing a solo this week..Maddie you'll have a solo because you just won the overall..Camila you also have a solo i think there's some rivalry between you and Mackenzie."

"Brooke you'll be doing the diary of Anne Frank, Paige you will not have a solo this week i want you to concentrate on the group dance and i want you to remember it..Nia, Kendall and Chloe we're going to teach all three of you the same choreography"

"so here's the car seat..Maddie get in the passenger seat right there..Paige go in the drivers seat" Abby says
"Chloe go behind Maddie..then Nia, Kendall,Brooke" Abby points to there spots
"Camila go..Chloe move back..Camila go in between Chloe and Nia" Abby says
i sit between Chloe and Nia and Chloe is kinda behind me but not far
"so you're in a car so when she turns everybody has to lean"
we start learning the group routine and it's a cool number
"Paige for gods sakes you haven't even danced yet sit up straight"
i do my turns into me laying down as my death
"okay guys go grab a drink" Abby says
we run out to the moms
"oh my god!" Chloe says
"never text and drive!"
"the dance is so creepy" Maddie says
"Kenzie gets like flung out of the car!" i add
"so we're all like dying throughout the dance and" Chloe says
"who's texting? who's the culprit" Jill asks
"we all are" Kendall says
"Paige dies first" Kenzie says
"who's driving?" Jill asks
"Paige" Brooke says
"i don't dance" Paige says
"what do you mean you don't dance?" mom asks
"she sits like this the whole time" Nia says
"you don't even stand up?" mom and Holly ask
"i sit like this the whole dance" Paige says
"doing what?" Melissa asks
"nothing" Nia says
"just ignore it Paige she's just doing it to be a mean person" Kelly says
"Paige what about because Abbys talked about kids having a voice and being able to talk instead of your mom saying something why don't you go to Miss Abby and say and tell her i would like to do the dance" Holly says
we go with Paige to ask Abby
"will i be doing any dancing in the group number?" Paige asks
"i don't know..we'll see i gave you a dance with a prop and you forgot what you were doing this is a story we're telling..i worked my butt of with you last week on that prop and you got out there and didn't do it i can't have that happen again alright? okay." Abby says
Abby then leaves and i look to Paige
"that wasn't terribly" Maddie says
"a solo and a group is different obviously Paige isn't going to forget the group" i say as we walk back
"i know." Nia agrees

i sit beside mom infront of the mirror
"now i have it on my phone but why don't you go over it..without the music" mom says
Chloe starts doing the dance
"no..you're not pecking at something you're not pooping, like you just straighten your knees" mom says
"she said to go forward" Chloe says
"Chloe!" mom says
Chloe does it again
"oh that was amazing you just made me feel something..or do you not care? because if you don't care let's go on a plane and go home cause i'd love to go home to your dad and sister." mom says

|Three Days To Competition|
so far it's our thirty minute start we find out that the Candy Apples are coming to nationals! woo..
|Solo Rehearsals|
this week my solo is based on Sleeping Beauty and i'm so excited it's to the song Heather by Conan Gray
we go over the routine and i try to make everything perfect
"okay that looks good..it's the in between part, make it pretty it's a mature piece" Abby says
i nod and i do the routine again and i really like it
|Group Rehearsals|
"girls this is for nationals this is the last competition of the season i don't think you understand what's at stake at nationals Cathy is coming" Abby says
we do the routine and i make sure my bits are perfect
|Maddies Solo Rehearsal|
"i think it's hard to dance when others are ripping on you right infront of your face" Abby says
"who's ripping on her?" Kelly asks
"we didn't say anything about Maddie" Holly says
"when i was talking i wasn't talking about Maddie i was talking about how my daughter as come three thousand miles to do three steps" Kelly says
"and be lucky she's doing those three steps!" Abby says
"why?" Kelly asks
"after she went out there and screwed up her dance and didn't do it and forgot again at eleven years old" Abby says
"what?" Kelly asks
"i'd get back to the paediatrician and find out what's wrong Kelly..for real find out what's wrong" Abby says
i gasp
"let's go Paige, you can leave class too" Kelly says to Brooke and Paige and they leave
|Competition Day|
the last couple days were a bit rocky
Chloe got the solo
Kelly is still mad
and everything is tense
we get to the competition and i'm nervous it's nationals!
we get to the dressing room and Chloe helps me with my makeup
"girls come on this is nationals! you worked all year every single day you've been in that studio rehearsing..every weekend we've flown to a competition, led up to this point today..what you do on that stage will change the rest of your life" Abby says
mom does my hair before helping Chloe
Camilas solo costume:
"Maddie you're up first..Chloe i'm going to have you get ready because we need to do some psyching out with Justice" Abby says
i go to the audience for Maddies solo
and Maddie absolutely nailed it
she's a phenomenal dancer
Justice performs next
and it looks like his last solo
but he did good
Brooke is the next to perform
and she nailed it
"good luck Kenz" i hug her a hug
Kenzie performs and she did so well
i'm nervous because she won last week
and it shows that you don't need a pretty dance to win
but she nailed it
"i love you" Brooke hugs me
"i love you more" i say
"welcome to the stage Camila with Heather" the announcer says
i enter the stage and i put my all into it
i make sure my technique is amazing
and that my turns are amazing
i find my routine with my last set of turns and i role to the floor and i put my hand on my shoulder
as i leave the stage i see my mom bawling..oops
we go back to the dressing room and Chloe spins me around in a hug
"you made me cry!" mom says
Chloe does her solo next
and she nailed it
absolutely nailed every second
we go back to the dressing room and we get ready for the group routine
Camilas group costume:
we go backstage for the group
and Candy Apples perform next
and i thought their number with those fans were better..
"please welcome to the stage, The Last Text" the announcer says
we all enter the stage and i get into my spot
we do the opening with the phones and i posefor photos and i obviously text
the first beat goes and i fall to the side
we all then start dancing and i make sure my bit is absolutely amazing
i then do my turns and i go into my death
when we exit the stage and crowd is silent..we did it.
i jump on Maddie
"we did it! we did that!" i squeal
"did you hear them? they were shocked!" Maddie beams

"alright everybody" the announcer says
i take Maddie and Chloes hand
"third place in energy petite solo goes to entry number two Black Betty"
"our second place energy petite solo goes to Killer Bee, Mackenzie from the Abby Lee Dance Company!"
i look to Chloe...did i win?
"and our first place top scoring petite soloist goes to.. Heather, Camila from the Abby Lee Dance Company!"
i gasp and Chloe hugs me
i get up and i get my award
"Camila is also our title winner for Miss Energy so we'd like to crown her now"
i get my banner and crown
this is everything

Brooke got a title aswell!

and Chloe got first...she got the title!
i cheer for Chloe as she gets her banner and crown

i take Maddie and Chloes hand

"and our top scoring national winner for our energy junior small group goes to entry number 138, Abby Lee Dance Company!"
we all cheer and i hug Maddie
we all go to the front
"what's your studio?"
"ABBY LEE DANCE COMPANY!" we all cheer
we run into the dressing room cheering
Abby hugs me, Chloe and Brooke and we go over to mom who squeezes us
"you both killed me when you got the titles" mom laughs
"i can't believe it..i actually cannot believe it" i beam
"it goes down in history both sisters got the titles!" Chloe says
"girls congratulations, every girl who danced a solo you were outstanding you beat Justice woop.. Brooke you beat all those girls who's legs were up to here..and the group number everybody did what they needed to do" Abby says
Abby then leaves
"i really hope sincerely from the bottom of my heart you put some time and space into the situation" mom says
i give Paige and Brooke a hug
i don't want them to leave..
but
nationals was a full success
and the Lukasiaks took on nationals!
