I pull my phone down from my ear, ending the phone call with Finn. Ryder's still asleep, so it's given me extra time to make sure everything is ready for his birthday party.

This is the biggest thing I've ever organised, so I'm glad I've had Finn as help. I wanted it to be massive, it's what he deserves. It's almost the same size, if not bigger, than Finn's party. It's taken me at least a month to plan, but I think I have everything in place now. As soon as he opens his eyes, the day is all about him.

Silently, I tiptoed back into the bedroom, careful not to wake him up. I slipped into the bed, pulling the covers over my body. I watched as a smile played on his lips, his eyes still closed as he pulls me closer, the warmth of his body enveloping me. "Happy birthday," I whispered as I brushed a stray strand of hair away from his forehead.

The more Ryder shares about his childhood and the time before we met, the more it hurts. When I had asked about his past birthdays, he said he doesn't remember anything about his birthdays after his mother's death. His father was such a jerk that he didn't even bother to acknowledge his son's birthday and that he's never celebrated it since.

He doesn't know anything about his party, the most he asked for was to spend his day with me. And while I'll give him that, he deserves way more.

As his eyes fluttered open, I could see the weariness in them. But as soon as he saw me, his smile grew wider and he pulled me closer. I could feel his warm breath against my skin as he pressed a kiss against my lips. As much as I'd love to lay here with him all day, I'm far too excited.

A wide grin spreads across my face as my eyes dart back and forth with his. "Do you want your present now?" With a sly grin, he muttered in response, "I got my present right here," as he caged my head against his chest. His arms wrapped tightly around me and by the sound of his breathing, I can tell he's going to fall back asleep.

I quickly slither out of his arms, jumping on my knees. "Get up." I nudge him before climbing off the bed and darting down the hallway. I know he'll love this present, it's kinda a big thing, but once he sees it, he'll love it.

I return back to the living room, gently grabbing the box from the couch. While it has a slide-off lid, it's still wrapped with a big bow and pretty wrapping. I head back down the hallway with a huge smile, finding him leaning against the headboard, rubbing his palm against his eye.

I crawl back onto the bed, placing the present onto his lap, sitting back on my knees. "Okay, go." he shoots me an uncertain look, before hesitantly lifting the lid off, his eyes widening at the sight.

"Vivienne." he breathes out, still staring at it in shock. I smile, leaning forward to peek inside. "Isn't it cute?" My bottom lip turns out, as I gently pat the Rottweiler puppy, curled up asleep inside.

I watch as he gently lifts her out of the box. She's still a baby, so she's tiny, especially in Ryder's hands. I smile, looking down at the small, wriggling bundle in his arms. "You got me a puppy?" disbelief and joy mingling in his voice.

As I sat there, grinning from ear to ear, he suddenly grabbed my arm and tugged me towards him. As he held me close, his lips brushed against my skin, "Unbelievable." he muttered, planting a kiss into my hair.

With a gentle smile, I reached out and began to stroke the soft fur of the puppy nestled in his lap. But there was still one thing missing - a name.

"What's her name?" I look up at him curiously, he gives me a shrug, still quiet, gently patting her. "Can we name her Dior?" I named Louis after Louis Vuitton, and given the abundance of designer things we own, I think it's fitting.

"Like the brand?" With a soft chuckle, he scoops up the wriggling puppy in his arms and lifts it high into the air. She's got big brown eyes and pointy ears, black and brown coating, "She looks like a Dior." he shrugs with a nod.

I smiled, leaning up to leave a gentle kiss on his cheek. As I turned to move away, he pulled me back down, his lips meeting mine in a passionate kiss. He trailed kisses all over my face, a smile spread across his face. "Thank you," he whispered, his lips still pressed against mine. I couldn't help but smile back as he kissed me once more before we finally parted.

With a grin on my face, I swiftly slip out of the warmth of the bed and make my way to the bathroom.

─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───

I leant towards the mirror, admiring my reflection as I put on Chanel pearl earrings before stepping back and smoothing out my dress.

I've spent the entire day with Ryder and Dior, although he seems to only be giving attention to the dog. Might of been a dumb decision, I don't like to share.

I walk back out of the bathroom, to find him playing with her yet again. "I think you might just be my new favourite." Teasing in his tone as he spoke, peppering her face with gentle kisses. I pin him with a look, folding my arms over my mini bow dress.

"I'm kidding," he said with a smirk, standing up and making his way towards me. As he pulls me closer, his hands slide around my waist and over my ass.

He leant in close, his breath warm against my forehead. "You look good." I smiled in response, my eyes meeting his for a brief moment before I gently pushed him back to tend to his tie.

My fingers moved nimbly as I deftly tied the knot, my mind focused on the tie when he suddenly grins mischievously, "Remind me to use this on you later." he muttered before giving me a quick kiss and turning his attention back to his dog.

With a playful roll of my eyes, I make my way towards the kitchen to get my purse. I haven't exactly told him where we're going, he thinks it's just dinner so he still has no idea about the dinner. That's unless Finn has already told him. But Ryder isn't dumb, he's probably already figured it out.

I hear him come down the hallway from the bedroom, "I left her in her bed, she might cry." he uses a dramatic tone. I knew he would love her, but I'd never seen him be this soft with anything. Except me, of course.

I shake my head, with a smile, turning to face him. "She'll be fine," I reassured him, "Let's go." With a burst of excitement, I clap my hands together, grabbing his hand and pulling him along with me out the door.

─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───

He would've gotten the idea as soon as he saw the immense amount of cars and the huge club we're parked in front of.

Finn and I managed to pull some strings and get a whole club to ourselves for the night, just for Ryder. Those who Ryder would recognise had been invited, of course, but Finn had taken it upon himself to add a few of his own friends to the mix but Ryder wouldn't mind.

As the sleek black limousine came to a stop, the door swung open and I emerged, my Mach & Mach Bow heels hitting the pavement with a soft thud.

Ryder followed suit, stepping out of the car and standing beside me in his Tom Ford tuxedo. His arm wraps around my waist, drawing me closer to him. I can feel the warmth of his body against mine, and I lean into his embrace, his lips brushing against my ear. "God, I love you." he mutters as he looks up at the building.

I just smile up at him, knowing that nothing could prove to him how much I actually love him. We head towards the stairs, before heading inside, loud music thumping and lights flashing around us.

He holds me close to him, as we eventually get upstairs to the VIP section, where Finn and Wren are already sitting in a booth, drinks in hand, Wren giggling at whatever Finn is saying.

They'd seem like polar opposites to strangers, Wren seems like a quiet, innocent, sweetheart, and while she's all those things, she's definitely Finn's twin.

"Birthday boy!" Finn yells, standing from the booth, already seeming half drunk, taking Ryder out of my arms and into his. I feel like when he drinks, his accent accentuates, it makes everything he does funnier.

I smile, sliding in across Wren, leaning over and giving her a peck on the cheek. She's wearing a pink bow dress, her hair in big bouncy curls, pink bow pumps on her feet. She always looks gorgeous.

She pushes a martini towards me with a sweet smile, I give her an appreciative smile in return as Ryder slides in beside me.

I turn my head, taking in everything that I organised with a proud smile. Hundreds if not thousands of people fill the club below us, dancing to the loud music, drinks and drugs all taking place down there, and I almost feel like I'm missing out.

"Let's dance." I bounce in my seat, getting everybody's attention. Wren and Ryder nod, but Finn's quick to stop us from moving. With a commanding tone, he declared, "Shots first." pouring vodka into the line of shot glasses on the table.

We all take one, bringing it to our lips, "To Ryder!" he shouts before knocking it back and we follow suit with big smiles. The sound of the glasses clink against the table before we all stand up and head downstairs.

When and I head towards the dance floor, but Ryder's quick to pull me back, bringing me into a deep kiss. "Have fun." he mutters with a smile before releasing me, and parting ways with Finn. He's determined that he never dances, I've just given up on begging at this point.

With a gentle tug, Wren takes my hand and leads me towards the dance floor. She pulls me closer and we begin to move in sync with the beat. We moved closer to each other and I could feel the warmth of her body against mine, her back pressed against my chest as we danced.

It's completely innocent until I take notice of Ryder, eyeing me from the bar with a certain look, Finn watching Wren from beside him. My eyes locked with his, I whisper to Wren before we start to tease them, dancing against each other.

Ryder shakes his head, quickly turning around, leaning over the bar. They're so easy.

It was all fun and games until we noticed a pair of eyes watching us from across the room. Two guys suddenly approach us from the side, trying to get involved. And while they're probably innocent, they'd probably lose their lives getting caught trying to get involved.

As the song came to an end, I swiftly took hold of Wren's hand and led her towards the bar before Ryder sees the guys trying to talk to us.

As I slide up next to him, I ordered another drink from the bartender. Finn, on the other hand, draped an arm over Wren's shoulder, pulling her in close as he whispers something against her ear.

"Enjoy yourself?" He asked with a sly grin, his eyes dark, his warm breath tickling my ear as he teased. With a nonchalant shrug, I lifted my glass to my lips and took a sip, hiding my smirk behind it. He tuts, planting a kiss on the top of my head before pulling away.

It's been a few hours of drinking, laughing, dancing and more drinking, and Wren needs to pee for the hundredth time. And while it's consistent, I'd rather come with her every time than let her go alone.

I fix my hair in the mirror as I wait for her in the cubicle. "Viv," she calls out softly, I hum back in response, she sounds a little odd but we're both drunk at this point. "Do you think Finn would cheat on me?" while her question is sudden, the answer is so quick to come to mind, I don't even hesitate. "Of course not, why?"

The toilet flushes and the door opens before she appears, slowly heading towards the mirror beside me. "I just don't feel like I'm his type, I've seen the girls he's been with before," she admits.

I know what she's referring to, and I don't blame her. After all, he had been with many before her. But I know without a doubt that Finn would never cheat on her. The way he looks at her is different, I just know. "He loves you, trust me."

"How do you know?" she asked, her uncertain voice barely above a whisper. "He just does," I replied confidently. Plus, Ryder would tell me if Finn was anyways, he tells me everything.

I gently took hold of her arm and turned her towards me, my fingers brushing a stray lock of her golden hair out of her face. With a reassuring smile, I looked into her eyes, and it seems to ease her a little.

She let out a light chuckle as she wrapped her arms tightly around me. "I think I might just be a little drunk" she admitted, her words slightly slurred. I brush the back of her hair as I hold her tightly.

We've grown to be best friends pretty quickly, and I have so much love for her. Even if Finn were to cheat on her, I'd never leave her side.

"Okay, let's go!" she suddenly bursts, pulling away with a bright smile, looking far more relaxed than she was a second ago. We head back out of the bathroom, only to go back to drinking and dancing again.

We scanned the massive room and every corner until we find Ryder and Finn together, an unfamiliar girl in front of them. And while I believe Ryder would never cheat on me either, It's the girls I don't trust.

As Wren and I approached them, Finn was quick to pull Wren close and disappear somewhere else. I stood beside Ryder, my eyes glued to the screen of my phone as I checked a new notification, feeling his hand brush against my skin.

I don't really care when Ryder talks to other girls, he's allowed to talk to whomever he pleases, of course. But it's when the girls start pushing the boundaries that I get pissed off.

But this girl seems pretty cool, she's got dark red hair and Ryder seems interested in whatever she's saying, when he usually seems irritated with other girls.

With my head in my phone, I don't acknowledge anything they're talking about, until I hear a high-pitched tone suddenly ring through my ears. With a high-pitched squeal, a blonde has rushed beside the girl, whom I assume is her friend. "Happy birthday, Rye Rye," she exclaims.

I blink rapidly, my eyes flicking up from my phone. She's running her arms up and down Ryder's biceps by the time I look up, "Oh, you have the biggest arms!"

She's feeling him up, right in front of me. As the anger surged through my body, I could feel my leg jolting forwards involuntarily.

I'm able to suppress anger long enough for Ryder to notice, before he slips in behind me, wrapping his arms around my body. "What do you think baby, Are they big enough?" he says with his lips against my head, almost immediately calming the anger.

The girl pins me with a look, her eyes roaming my body with a dirty look before they roll into the back of her head and she storms off with a scoff.

The red hair looked almost guilty as she spoke, her words tumbling out in a rush. "I'm so sorry about her!" her voice laced with regret. Without waiting for a response, she spun on her heel and hurried after the girl.

I never imagined I'd have the urge to commit cold-blooded murder, until I had her standing in front of me, flirting with what's mine. Now I think I might understand what Ryder means when he hurts other people.

─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───

The room was filled with lively chatter and the clinking of glasses as the night wore on. Ryder had been talking with the guests, accepting all birthday wishes and conversations. Suddenly, he leant down to me, pointing someone out in the crowd, "Did you invite him?" he asked, his brow furrowed with confusion and uncertainty.

I'm really drunk at this point, so I squint my eyes to look. He's a tall man, just standing in a corner with a drink like most people.

I hesitated for a moment before answering. "No," I replied softly, "Maybe Finn?" Truthfully, I don't know who I invited, I hardly know anyone that Ryder knows. He hesitates before shrugging it off, and joining a conversation with Finn.

I suddenly notice my glass is empty, and I feel the need for another. I may be drunk, but it's not too much yet. I excuse myself from the group, leaving a kiss on Ryder's cheek before I leave.

The sound of laughter and chatter fades away as I head towards the bar, my mind lost in thought. As I approached the counter, I leant over and placed my order with the bartender. The sound of the music filled the air, and I found myself bopping to the sound as I waited patiently for my drink.

Suddenly, someone appears beside me. I turn my head, my eyes landing on the guy that Ryder had pointed out. Now that he's up close, I can see his features. He seems a little older, and scrawnier, but he seems really friendly and harmless.

He shoots a quick smile down at me, causing me to smile back as he orders his own drink. It's quiet until he begins to make conversation,

"Ryder's wife, right?" he questions, resting his head in the palm of his hand. I nod proudly, tapping my fingers against the counter to the music. I'm usually hesitant and cautious with strangers, but I think the alcohol might be changing that.

The drinks suddenly get pushed in front of us, and he continues to talk. "He's a great man, we used to work together." Well that answers my question, perhaps Ryder had a vague recollection of him, but couldn't quite place who he was.

I didn't intend on staying at the bar, but this guy is too friendly to walk away from. He seems genuine, and not flirty whatsoever, I actually find myself enjoying this conversation, unlike most.

He asks a few questions about me and Ryder, and shared a bit about his own life in return. As our conversation began to wind down, he checked the time on his watch and excused himself with a firm handshake before walking away.

With a smile on my face, I gracefully hopped off the stool and made my way back towards Ryder. I quickened my steps on the way back, though I knew I hadn't been gone long enough for him to be concerned, I didn't want to keep him waiting.

I find them all sitting down in the lounges. Wren was perched on Finn's lap, her arms wrapped around his neck as they spoke. Ryder, on the other hand, was taking a sip of his drink, his eyes somewhere else.

I approach him again, leaning down. Our lips meet in a soft kiss, and I feel his arms wrap around me, pulling me onto his lap.

I smile, scanning the room around us. I hadn't noticed the dance poles in here when I inspected it, but nobody seems to be using them since we never hired strippers.

As the music pulsed through the club, an idea sparked in my head. A mischievous smirk slowly spread across my face as I contemplated my next move. The beat of the song only seemed to fuel my excitement,

With a playful grin, I slid off his lap and made my way over to a nearby pole. Wrapping my hand around it, I turned to face him. He narrowed his eyes, his stare piercing through me, pinning me with a look, like he can't decide if he wants to rip me off it or to watch me dance.

I playfully dance against it, my eyes only on his as I move. I wasn't really being serious, I was only intending to tease him, but it's actually kinda fun up here. And judging by the smile on his face, he's enjoying it too. He leant back in his chair, taking a sip from his glass as his eyes remained fixed on me, not leaving for a second.

That's until people start to gather, and his body grows tense as he watches them cheer, their eyes roaming my body. I smirk, as much as I don't exactly agree with his murderous ways, I love when he gets overprotective. It's hot.

He chews on the bottom of his lip, slowly nodding his head, and I understand almost instantly. I ride it out until the music stops before I jump off and head back over to him with an innocent smile.

But he doesn't leave a second to talk before he's grabbed my hand and guiding me in the other direction. "Uh oh," Finn's teasing voice comes from behind us as we walk further away.

I should probably be nervous about what's coming, but I can't help but smile in excitement. "I'm sorry!" I giggle as he pulls me up the stairs, away from the crowded party and over into a quiet, dark corner.

He wasn't listening to anything I was saying before he's pressed his lips against mine. "What did I say about teasing me?" he mutters against my mouth, his hands exploring every inch of my body beneath my dress.

This probably isn't the place to do this, but I'm powerless to resist him, and I don't want to, my body responding to his every move.

I can't help but smile against his lips, which only makes him more 'irritated'. I know he's not actually mad with me, he couldn't ever be genuinely mad at me, even if he tried. He spins me around, and I catch myself on the wall.

I feel him fumbling with something behind me before I suddenly feel his silk tie wrap around my neck and his breath on my neck as he tightened the knot, my body growing only more excited.

I winced as he suddenly pulled my head back, not enough to cause pain, but enough to make me feel vulnerable. With one hand on his tie, I feel him tug at my thong, his movements painfully slow.

I squirm in front of him, feeling myself throb in impatience. He takes this whole 'no teasing' thing seriously, he's always so mean about it. "Ryder," I whine, pressing my body against the wall and placing another hand on to balance myself.

He tugs at the tie again, pulling my head back, lining his mouth with my ear as he slowly lines himself up. Eventually, without warning, he's pushed himself in. My hands suddenly claw at the wall, as I try to stifle the moan slipping past my lips. "Let them hear baby," he mumbles against my ear, his breath travelling down my neck. "Let them know you're mine."

He tugs at it again, his dark, hungry eyes meeting mine. He flashes me a grin before suddenly quickening his pace, moving faster and harder. My lips part as I let a quiet moan slip out, my eyes rolling back in ecstasy as he relentlessly pounds into me.

I give up trying to be quiet, surrendering to the moans as he relentlessly pounds that sweet spot. I let out another moan, louder than the rest, feeling my body shiver with pleasure. "That's my girl," he groans into my ear, his hand travelling down to the front, finding my clit as he begins to circle his thumb over it, causing another moan to roll out.

His lips find my neck, and I can feel my stomach burning up, my body coming undone in front of him. He tuts, warning me not to go yet, and I let out a needy moan. He starts to slow his pace, moving in and out of me as soft whimpers and moans start to slip out of his lips and into my ear.

Finally, he hums against my neck, indicating to go, and we release at the same time. Moans and groans leaving our lips at the same time. "Fuck, Viv." he pants into my neck, still buried deep inside me.

A group of people's voices start to near, which is enough for him to slip out of me, and pull his pants up, quickly untying the tie around my neck. I flatten down my hair, patiently waiting for my thong back, but he just shoves them into his pocket, giving me a wink before pulling me closer to him, pressing a kiss against my head, "Happy birthday to me."
