"alright so, energy dance in Waterford Michigan again you were second any other teacher probably thinks overall highscore second place was wonderful and now the pyramid"
"on the bottom Paige and Brooke, once again you're still on probation..you never came to me and said hey can i enter my solo..Brooke you should wanna do that acrobatic routine it was beautiful"
"next Nia, Nia you did a great job on your solo you made the top ten but pay attention to the technique apply the corrections you don't always do that..and i know the group dance was an issue..your mother was not happy but we didn't have enough costumes."
i look down
i feel bad that Nia was the sacrifice so i could do the routine
"next we have Chloe, Chloe you looked good in the group routine..i thought you looked elegant"
"next we have Camila, great job in the duet you came out your back leg was up in the arabesque you had a good weekend."
"next we have Maddie, Maddie you had an outstanding solo you did a beautiful job on the duet"
"on top of the pyramid this week is Mackenzie."
we all cheer and hug Kenzie
it's her first time at the top!
"she won the overall highscore and was crowned petite miss energy dance let's give her a round of applause."

"i want to talk about this week..we will be attending Starpower in Woodbridge Virginia this is the largest dance competition in the united states im excited for the group dance i've been preparing for week..Mackenzie you have probed you're not a little baby anymore you must be advanced enough to be in the group dance..i'm not watering down the choreography you'll be expected to do what everybody else is doing" Abby says
"Maddie you are going to be doing a routine called Looking For A Place Like Home..it's a little spin on there's no place like home a modern day version..Chloe you'll also be doing a solo your solo is entitled What Goes Around Comes Around"
Brooke then raises her hand
"yes Brooke?" Abby asks
"this weekend is my first formal school dance and i was wondering if i would be able to go to it?" Brooke asks
"i think if i was in your position i would probably make a different decision however if you decided this is something you want to do far be it from me to keep you from it" Abby says
"you will not be in the group number this week you won't be joining us on the trip"
"thank you." Brooke says
"moms you're dismissed thank you very much..see ya" Abby says
Brooke leaves with the moms and we warm up

we learn the group routine and Chloe said it's like a hunger games themed routine..so she's excited
"girls obviously i'm going to replace Brooke...Maddie i want you to go get Payton don't make a big deal out of it just go in and tap her on the shoulder and say come with me" Abby says
"okay" Maddie nods
Maddie leaves the room and comes back with Payton
"Brooke is going away this weekend so i'm looking to replace her..Payton is going to be the huntress you all will be dinner" Abby says
we all laugh
Payton learn the group routine and we go over it a couple times
"four days today we are doing this number at the largest competition in the whole of the United States"

we go from the top of the routine
"run..quick running like a little kid you're a warrior run..you're fighting fir your country run!" Abby yells to Kenzie
and Abby keeps yelling at Kenz
|Competition Day|
we get to the competition
and we head to the dressing room
"the group is first i believe yes?" Abby says
mom helps me and Chloe get ready and i think our costumes this week are so cool
we run though the group routine before heading backstage
"our next routine this is The Huntress" the announcer says
we enter the stage and we start our routine
i think i nailed everything and my technique was great!

"your nine to eleven power division highscores" the announcer says
"fourth place goes to studio bleu dance centre"
"third place goes to my boyfriend back studio bleu"
"one tenth of a point separates first and second place..second place entry number 169 The Huntress"
i clap and Paige gets our award
we go back to the dressing room
"good job girls!" mom says
Abby comes back and she doesn't not look happy
"second..a tenth of a point." Abby says
i look down
"how does everybody feel they did?"
"good, how do you think we did?" Payton says
"do you want me to be nice and sweet and hug and kiss all of you or do you want the truth?" Abby asks
"the truth" Leslie says
"the truth? i just would like you to work and to want to be first..there's only one winner" Abby says
the solos are up next
and the highlights are
Maddies solo is just flawless she nailed it
and Chloes solo was really good..but Abby made sure Maddies was better

Chloe got third
and Maddie won the title
we go back got he'd resting room and i give Maddie a hug
"your crown is so pretty" i say
"thank you" Maddie smiles
i then go over and hug Chloe and o sit on my moms lap
"outstanding..Chloe wonderful..Maddie i can't believe you won that title but you know what you're only as good as your last performance" Abby says
"so Melissa i'm taking her to the other competition and she's going to do Cry"
"what?" Melissa says
"Maddie i need you to get dressed and i need to fix your hair" Abby says
"alright ready? let's go babydoll"
Melissa, Maddie and Abby leave for the other competition
"now there's a situation where you should've spoken up and said why would my kids not be going" Leslie says
"she knows fine rightly if she brought Camila to that competition she would win a title and she doesn't want to give her credit for it..she doesn't want to admit she is on the same level as Maddie when she's a whole year younger." mom sighs
"its blantly obvious she brought a costume for Maddie and didn't bring one for Mackenzie or Nia or Paige" Kelly says
"our dance teacher sets these kids up to fail she knew Maddie was going to win that dance!" mom says
"you daughter was taught a solo she got a beautiful costume just like Maddie did and you should know that being a dance moms at this point" Leslie says
"oh good! don't let the door hit you on the way out!" mom says
we then pack up and leave
"it's ridiculous she sets Chloe up to fail all the time...and she's going to do to Cami when she's nine because she'll beat Maddie..she beat her when she was seven and Abby hates her for that." mom says to Kelly as we walk out
