I FaceTime Y/n and she answers on the last ring.
"Hello." Y/n mumbles.
"You sleeping?" I ask.
"I was." Y/n says turning the lamp on.
"Y/n Y/l/n." I say.
"Did I do something wrong?" Y/n asks yawning.
"Y/n Y/l/n is officially a Grammy nominee." I say.
"What?" Y/n asks.
"You haven't checked Twitter?" I ask.
"I just woke up." Y/n says.
Y/n swipes on her screen and widens her eyes.
"6?!" Y/n asks.
"6." I say.
"Holy shit." She says.
"Congratulations." I say.
"Thank you, but I'm a little disappointed I can't go to the actual show." She says.
"How many people can say, sorry I didn't collect my 6 GRAMMYs I was on a sold out tour?" I ask.
"Surely I'm not getting all 6." She says.
"Surely you are." I say.
"I'm proud of you, baby." I say.
"That means a lot." She says.
"I'm gonna win you your first Grammy." Y/n says smiling.
"It's a feature so it's entirely yours." I say.
"I'll have 6 so I figured you could have one." Y/n says.
I laugh and Y/n smiles.
"How is planning going?" Y/n asks.
"Good, any special requests?" I ask.
"We must have the Finnish wedding dish." Y/n says.
"What's that?" I ask.
"Look it up." Y/n says.
"That evil smirk." I say typing on my laptop.
"Raw salted fish." I read.
"Hell no." I say as Y/n laughs.
"Not happening." I say.
"I'm only kidding." She says.
"Good because I was about to cancel this wedding." I say.
She laughs and I smile.
"You know the mother of the bride is supposed to pay for the wedding. And my mom is dead so..." She says.
"Why don't you call my mother and tell her that? Matter of fact, call my dad and tell him that." I say.
"The tradition is old and outdated anyway." She says.
"That's what I thought." I say.
"It's just a bunch of Americans there, they'll eat anything." She says.
"You have citizenship, right?" I ask.
"Yes, I got it this year actually. Max threw me a party and made me dress up as a walking American flag." She says.
I laugh and she smiles.
"I'll call you later." I say.
"Okay, bye." Y/n says.
"Bye." I say.
Time Skip
"That's how you knew it was a lie?!" Y/n asks.
"No. After you got to your hotel we were on the phone for like an 2 hours talking about your mom." I say.
"I just thought my response was funny." I say.
Y/n laughs and I smile.
"I didn't say it but thank you for taking about my mom with me. Therapy never really worked but talking to you does." Y/n says.
"Of course baby, anytime." I say.
"I cannot wait to marry you." Y/n says.
"Clearly you can if you decided to go on a 6 month tour before actually doing it." I say.
"You have to look at it from my point of view. Everyone is stuck on me right now, who knows if it's still gonna be like that in a few months." She says.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" She asks.
"You look so hot." I say.
"It is pretty warm in here." Y/n says.
I don't know what it was that made me fall in love with her but it definitely wasn't her brain.
"Oh, you meant-" Y/n says.
I laugh and Y/n smiles.
Time Skip
"So tonight I am releasing my new single with Nicki Minaj." Y/n says.
The crowd cheers and she smiles.
"It not out yet but I figured I could do a live performance for you guys. So I brought the queen with me." Y/n says.
Nicki walks onto the stage and everyone cheers.
"Do you smoke?" I ask.
"Fuck no." Y/n says.
"So what does "blowing on some dope" mean?" I ask.
"It's just a lyric, you know that." Y/n says.
"I can't marry someone with black lungs, Y/n." I say.
"It is a good song though." I say.
"I know, right?" Y/n asks.
"How's Nate?" Y/n asks.
"He misses you." I say.
"I'll be back in Los Angeles in 2 days. I'll see him then." She asks.
"You'll have time?" I ask.
"He's my son, I'll make time for him." She says.
I smile and nod.
Time Skip
The front door opens and Y/n comes in.
"What are you doing here?" I ask hugging Y/n tightly.
"I got on an earlier flight." Y/n says.
"Why didn't you tell me, I could've picked you up from the airport?" I ask.
"It was last minute." Y/n says.
"I'm happy you're home." I say.
Y/n smiles and I kiss her.
"Stay up if you want but I'm going to bed." I say as we go upstairs.
"I'm a 9, huh?" Y/n asks shutting the room door.
"What?" I ask.
"You said I'm a 9." She says.
"Oh, yeah." I say.
"How do I get a 10?" She asks.
"I'm not telling you, you gotta figure it out." I say.
"Right now?" She asks.
"You could." I say.
She smiles and kisses me. The door opens and Nate wanders in.
"Hey, buddy." Y/n says.
Nate runs to Y/n and hugs her tightly.
"I missed you." Nate says.
"I missed you too." Y/n says smiling.
Time Skip
"Have you lost weight?" I ask poking Y/n's stomach.
"Probably, I don't really eat." Y/n asks.
"Why aren't you eating?" I ask.
"All that's on the road is fast food. At lot of the restaurants use peanut oil and I'm allergic to peanuts. I'm limited to what I can eat." Y/n says.
"I'm gonna get you nice and full today." I say patting Y/n's stomach.
She laughs and I smile.
"Ever since my mom died I hadn't bee genuinely happy until I met you." She says.
"I would on a smile for thousands of people a day and now that smile is genuine. I can't imagine what I'd do without you." She says.
"You don't have to." I say.
She smiles and kisses me.
