it was quiet as Basil moved throughout the ring. That is until Pythor comes, he needs to know what Basil is planning and why he is acting so strange
Pythor: Basil, we need to talk. Lately, I've noticed some in behavior. You've been showing some violent tendencies. Care to explain?
Basil: Oh, Pythor! What a surprise to see you here. Violent tendencies? That's quite an accusation. I assure you, there must be some misunderstanding.
Pythor narrows his eyes, crossing his arms skeptically.
Pythor: Misunderstanding? I've seen you lose your temper a few times Basil. It not like you. What's going on?
Basil takes a deep breath, setting the decorations aside and walks towards Pythor, seeking to address his concerns face-to-face.
Basil: Pythor, I understand why you might be worried, but honestly, it's nothing serious. Life can be tough sometimes, and I've been dealing with personal challenges that have caused occasional frustration. rest assured, it doesn't define who I am... anymore
Pythor interrupts, his voice filled with suspicion.
Pythor: Oh, really? Personal challenges? What challenges could possibly make you act out like that?
Basil remains calm, trying to keep the conversation on track.
Basil: Pythor, I've always valued our relationship, and I don't want this misunderstanding to drive us apart.
So drop it already.
Pythor pauses, his expression softening slightly as he considers Basil's words. After a moment, he uncrosses his arms and nods
Basil: Now come. We must get the third Fangblade, we have no time to dawdle
Basil slithers to the meeting area followed by Pythor. It was time for him to take back what was his
Skales: Ah Basil, Pythor, Now we can begin.
*Timeskip Basil pov*
We were digging in a volcano. Here the third fangblade layed in wait for me
However I did sense a need for something, seeing all the Serpentine working together like this made me... proud
Basil: While we are digging would you like to hear a story?
Skalidor: Oh? Sure it will pass the time
Acidicus: Yes
Basil: Lovely! Ahem let's see... how about when I first met my dearest
This got their attention as I smiled. I'm sure they were curious but I'll have to leave out a few details
Basil: "Long before time had a name. Their were Serpentine, multiple clans with multiple faces all coming to be after my blood was shed into the sand.
The city of Ouroboros was made along with the tribes. I was happy, I had a duty to protect and lead my children to a happier future
But that's when I met them, 2 beings like myself. One of light and order, the other of darkness and chaos. We chatted away with eachother
Afterall their were other beings besides Serpentine, I couldn't help but be curious. However then life took its course a........ a... Serpentine died.
Full of fear and anger I went through every spell I knew trying to bring them back. Then the being of light showed themselves
Seeking to punish me for my dive into the unknown of the world. He cursed me to live without dieing and to watch as all of my children would die slowly but surely. I watched as they grew apart, eventually separating into their own tribes
Eventually I grew numb to it all, I didn't feel a thing anymore. I was alone, I was punished and forgotten
But one day
The being of darkness took pity on me. He asked me "What would you do to be happy again?"
I answered
So he made a deal with me, if I did what I said I would do. He would give my life back
Eventually I did my task, and so he gifted unto me the location of his daughter. I went there and found her, surrounded and being praised by the tribes.
It was love at first sight.
Though she didn't know who I was, my constant gifts and feats to try to impress her eventually won her over. Especially when I told her what I did
Everything was good. Everything was full of joy again. I knew the curse of death couldn't be beaten.
But now I had someone who would be there for me. Someone I could love and always be a kindle for my heart, so it could never become numb again
So I disbursed my army, and settled with her
Of course you know the rest. Sealed away by that stupid embodiment of light and order. We were separated for so long, but now..."
A Serpentine hands me the Fangblade as I stare at it and smile
Basil: We'll be together once more
I hand the Fangblade over to Pythor as he stares at it. Then suddenly, I'm hugged by the tribe leaders
Fangtom: We're sorry for what you've been through
Skales: Yes. But everyone is back together now, and now we can bring her back!
Basil: Not everyone. I wonder how Arcturus is doing? Or Mambo?
Pythor: First we will have to deal with them
We turn and look as a Serpentine is kicked into the lava. I quickly extend my spear pulling him to safety as I glare at the Ninja and....
Basil: Garmadon!? Wha- how!
Garmadon: Basil, still worshipping that spawn of evil
Basil: Garmadon, still coveting 4 sticks of gold. Heh like a dirty pirate
Garmadon: Give me back my son!
Garmadon yells as I look at Lloyd. I slither up the stairs followed by the generals as the soldiers battle. I grab onto the cage as I hold onto it
Basil: Sorry little one
Skales: Basil! They are tearing through us. What should we do!?
Basil: What I've done plenty of times to humans
The generals grin as I throw the cage into the lava below
Lloyd: FATHER!
Garmadon: SON!
Pythor: Skalidor, get you and your men to start erupting the volcano. We shall leave them a gift before we go~
As I watch the cage fall I can't help but feel a little twinge of guilt as I realise what I've done. Hissing in anger I yank a spear off a nearby soldier before throwing it.
The cage pins onto a wall as I make my way up. Garmadon and I sharing a glare before we depart however as we begin to leave through a tunnel. I hear a yelp before I look back, seeing a sword pinning the blade to a wall
Basil: NO!
I watch the red Ninja running up the stairs. Everyone has evacuated leaving just the humans and the generals
Kai: BASIL!
Basil: Insolent human....
I go to kill the human but get pulled back. Looking I see the generals
Skales: We have to go! Come on Basil
Pythor: We'll get it. We'll make them pay. That I promise, but first we must leave!
I hiss as I follow the Serpentine. The path being blocked by falling debri seconds later
*Timeskip*
The tunnel was silent and tense. I think they were scared of me, for good reason though. I was livid, the only thing hotter then the lava was my anger
When we exit I look up at the volcano. That sense of dread and nothing slowly creeping back again
*3rd pov*
Pythor catches a glimpse, something flowing in the lava next to him. Curious he uses his staff to make it sink into the ground next to him
Pythor: Oh how beautiful~
It was the Fangblade, looking at the back of Basil's head he got a cunning idea
Pythor: Waa waa waa~ oh poor Basil throwing a fit over nothing
Skales: PYTHOR!
Basil turn his head to Pythor. That same glare as before on his face
Pythor: What! Theirs no need to throw such a fit over nothing
Basil: SHE IS MY EVERYTHING!!!
Pythor: Oh? *sigh* well I guess this is worthless to you then
Pythor says smugly before throwing Basil the Fangblade. It being caught despite it being red hot, Basil doesn't seem to care as he looks at it for a minute
Pythor grins oh so smugly until he is hugged by Basil. Pulled into a tight hold as he is shocked by the affection and the oxygen escaping his lungs
Basil: Pythor. P. Chumsworth. You sneaky snake!
Pythor: Y-yes.. ahem.. uh can you let go now!.. cant..................breath~
Skales: Basil your crushing him!
