Averil's pov
I woke up body sore, I thought I would have a bruise on my back for how bad he threw me across the fridge but I was completely wrong.
It was my wrist that hurt pretty badly.. it was bruised. Good thing I have Kim because I have literally no idea of how to wrap bruises professional like her.
I looked at my bandage around my wrist as I slipped on my khaki colored shorts. It hurts.. I've never had such a bruise on my wrist.
I made my way to the kitchen to fix myself a cup of coffee before I began my daily routine.
I thought Dane would've been gone since I woke up a bit later but the door was opened and he was out side talking to.. Malachai??
I grabbed an apple and bit into it as I peeped my head out.
"Ah yes man! I love all of the movies youre in, ah! Its amazing how we live right across from the man who literally has his own show!" Dane spoke with interest. His tone was never this lively when it was just me and him.
Malachai eyes caught mine and I jerked back not daring to peep again until he mentioned my garden.
"I see you guys garden, its absolutely amazing." Malachai winked at me before his eyes trailed back to Dane's dark ones.
"Yes my lovely mate did all of it, he's an absolute plant freak.. he's amazing truly.."
Fake. Thats what his tone was.. fake!
I knew it mainly because I live with the man but of course Malachai had no reason to question him.. Unless Owen told him about what happened last night...
I licked my lips and ran into the kitchen to pack some more cookies, I can shush him with cookies. I tied the box with ribbon and clutched it under my arm.
I ran outside surprising Dane and Malachai.
"Oh this is Aver-"
I kissed Dane on the cheek and waved at Malachai before running across the street to knock on the door.
Owen answered again, he smiled an all teeth smile. "Good morning Owen! I brought more cookies for you and Bailey.. Uhm is it possible that we could talk about the babysitter thing?" I asked looking at my watch.
"Oh definitely honey!" He grabbed my wrist before letting go almost immediately.
"Uhm.. you're hurt, why is that?"
My heart dropped to my ass and before I could say anything Cassius came running down the stairs with Bailey in his arms, she was asleep.
"I smelled the cookies!" He snatched the box from my hands then quickly thanked me.
Owen rolled his eyes playfully and shifted his attention back to me. "Shall we talk in my art room?" I backed up not knowing what made me do so.
"About the Babysitting Averil?"
"Oh yea psh of course!" I smiled following him in his room. It was absolutely beautiful, art was everywhere.. It was a beautiful sight.
"I'm a artist, I'm the one who makes pieces for the museums and for celebrities." I nodded as I walked around the room taking in every piece that hanged on the wall.
"First off do you work?" My attention immediately went back to him. He offered me a chair and I sat down.
"No,I use to be a teacher for pre-k but I got fired." He stopped cleaning up his supplies and looked at me with raised eyebrows.
"And how did you get fired?"
I looked down. "An alpha thought it was a good idea to touch me inappropriately so I shifted and bit him where the sun doesn't shine."
Owen grimaced.
"What was he?"
"Werewolf."
"Is it always that werewolf's treat their omegas so unkindly?" The question caught me off guard, completely off guard!
"Uhm I don't know.."
"Vampires worship their omegas almost, in their eyes we are absolutely angels."
I gasped "You're an omega? I thought you were a beta! What the fuck!"
"Language darling, and yes im an omega." He chuckled.
I felt my face sting a bit at the nickname .
"Anyways.. What happened to your wrist? Is it that man that was waiting for you last night? He wouldn't look me in the eyes.. I watched him push you and if it wasn't for Bailey calling me something would've happen."
I shook my head and smiled. "He's just over protective!"
"No, he's a weird little shit" someone mumbled. The voice scared the hell out of me.
It was Malachai.. were my wolf senses broke? How couldn't I hear him coming?!
"He's not, I-.." I didn't even feel bad that I couldn't defend him because he was just that.. but deep down I still loved him.
"What really happened to your wrist, Honey?" Owen asked grabbing the wrapped up wrist pulling at the bandages softly taking them off.
I whimpered at the feeling of my swelled up wrist losing pressure from the bandage. "I strained it, thats all really." I sighed.
"If you're lying to us were going to figure out, we don't like liars, little wolf." Malachai whispered in my ear making my body shudder.
I pulled my arm away from Owen and stood up holding said arm carefully.
"You guys are the fucking weird ones! Thank you for allowing me in your home but I will be leaving" I declared.
How dare they pry into my personal life! When I haven't pry in theirs!
Owen protested and Malachai only looked at me with those dark beauti- ugly eyes.
"What you are going to do is sit your ass down and allow me to wrap your wrist, then you can go."
Cassius.
I looked back to see him leaning against the door way with crossed arms.
"Well, make it quick." I sassed sitting down in the exact same seat.
"Is that man your mate by any chance?" Owen asks with worry.
Cassius kneels down in front of me and grabs my wrist, Malachai hands him a handy dandy first aid kit and he gets to work.
"We haven't mated yet." All three of them gasp.
"Dane said that you guys have, and y'all are trying for a pup?" Malachai rubbed his chin and looked at me.
I gritted my teeth at the lie, how dare he lie about something so serious!

"Well no, we haven't."
"How long was it since he engaged?"
"A year ago."
I was getting tired of the question about me and Cassius was obviously done wrapping my wrist, he was just stalling so all of them could talk to me.. Which confused me cause they are literally married!
"When did you guys meet?" I asked curiously, taking a few peeks at Cassius as he took the slowest time to wrap my wrist back up.
"Well we met almost six years ago, we fell in love pretty quickly.. Cassius boxer career was just taking off and Owen just got his first piece of artwork accepted to a museum." Malachai spoke about them with love,true love.. The way their eyes met each others.. it was... amazing! It reminded me of a book I read a long time..
I believe the name was 'When Am I Urs' the way Santino would look at his boyfriend..
"What about you?" I adverted my eyes to him.
"He was just a Nepo baby." Cassius added in rather sarcastically.
I giggled at that.
"I was hoping for your horrible cackle this time!" Cassius pouted.
I rolled my eyes.
Why are they not so bad?
I looked at my watch and my eyes widened. I sprung right up from the seat, their eyes were on me but all I knew was that I was late!
"Uhm..! Sorry guys I seriously have to go I haven't even started my daily routine yet! I-I haven't watered the plants at all either oh my goodness!"
