"well you thought you were going home after Lake Taho and here we are back in LA, big surprise it's very exciting before i get into that you notice there's no pyramid, yes?"

"everybody is in a straight line because here in LA, it's not really about the talent it's about the look well i'm ready to talk a little about the surprise, LA the best people in the world come here, there are buying for the same job everybody wants to be a star you are going to get the opportunity to audition for a major music video" Abby announces

a MUSIC VIDEO?!
"i don't know who's going to get it, i don't know if all of you are going to get it or just some of you it's not up to me i don't make the decisions so it's every man for themselves, tomorrow instead of a rehearsal we will be in class i'm going to teach a hip hop combination since the audition is going to be in hip hop"

we learn tne hiphop combo and..its hard

i laugh

"im nervous" i say
"don't be, you go in there and show them who Camila is alright" mommy she and she gives me a hug
we head in the room and its packed
for the first bit
we learn the combo
and its a bit fast paste but i really like the combo
then Mackenzie bets upset because she doesn't know the routine
its going to be a long day
we finally get put in small groups to audition and im with Chloe, Maddie, Paige and Kenz
i do the combo and i give my all
they then have us improv and i do some of my turns and tricks
i think i did well but Julie McDonald wants to speak with us..which is scary
"hey everybody im Julie McDonald, and im the co owner of MSA so we've seen alot of dancers come through our agency and the one thing we learn about is rejection its a huge part of the business and you just have to keep going" Julie says
"theres a number of things we look for when we have an audition and its not always about dance technique and all of those sorts of things for the commercial aspect dance ability presences and how you adapt we always saw how you walk in from the very first moment into the audition we do take notice" Shelli says
"we have news for all of you ladies there is a new upcoming pop star that has a music video coming up and looking for a girl dance group and we all think you ladies would be perfect for that"
we all scream and we hug Abby
WE DID IT!
we go out the moms
"we didnt make it." Paige says
then we all start squealing about how we made the music video!
|Two Days To The Music Video|
"hi girls, how you doing today?" a guy says
"my name is Seven Williams and i am a record producer and the reason im here today is because we are doing a music video for one of our new artists Lux and with every great video you need a great team so my man Ray over here is going to explain" Seven says
"hi guys, ive heard so many great things about you guys, i dont know if any of you watch Shake It Up Victorious?" Ray asks
i gasp i love Victorious
"okay cool, i'm on both of those shows and this is going to be like something you've never done before" Ray says
"we are going to do an on scene test for makeup and hair and then on the day of the shoot i'm going to select just one of you is going to be the star of this video so uh you girls up for it?" Seven asks
"yes!" we all say
|Rehearsals|
we learn the combo for the video
and we get told we are working with boys! so that's exciting
"you have to make eye contact with the boy on four..Chloe has it" Ray says
we go from the top and i pick it up pretty quick
Mackenzie is on her second meltdown of the week and
i do feel bad for her
we then get told about the video shoot day
and i'm very excited
later on we get brought to a salon to test our hair and makeup!
i think i looked pretty cool with my hair
"i feel like a rock star!" i beam
"you really do!" mommy says

mommy decided to take me and Chloe to see an acting coach so i'm really excited
"so if your guys goal is to be an actress you have to have an open heart so we are going to explore a little bit emotionally, do you remember your saddest day of your life what that would be?" Howard asks
"i think when my great-grandfather died cause i had a very close relationship with him" Chloe says
"do you remember that day?" Howard asks
"mhm." Chloe nods
"tell me about it?" Howard asks
"my mind was just kinda blank there." Chloe says
"so as an actress this is what it's all about, contacting real sources" Howard says
"do you girls consider yourself the number one dancer in the company?"
i shake my head
"there's another girl that's pretty good her name is Maddie, i think me, her and Camila are the better ones in the group" Chloe answers
"good what stops you and even you from going for number one?" Howard asks
"nothing, i guess" Chloe says
"what's that?" Howard asks
"nothing." Chloe says
Howard then looks to me
"nothing really" i answer
..maybe Abbys favouritism.. but nothing yeah.
"nothing stops you both from going for number one? i have a feeling you both stop yourselves and it could be because you are a sensitive little girl so you think about the others might be hurt, does that make sense?" Howard says
i nod
"yes" Chloe says
"your success doesn't matter to anybody else" Howard says
i nod
after the session i do feel a lot better and ill try to take that advice for the video and even for next season.
|Video Shoot Day|
we arrive at the studio and we get ready for the video
and my costume is awesome!
"now listen, this is a professional job you are in LA you're in a sound stage and you are doing a real video shoot" Abby says
we meet thin guys and the partner im with his name is Dylan and he's nine so
we match pretty good
we go over the dance again and Dylan is a really good dancer
then Mackenzie has her third breakdown of the week..i don't blame her
we continue on with practise
and i'm glad my partner isn't as clueless as Kenzies
we then get to go into and meet Lux!
"hey! how are you?" Lux greets
Lux is so pretty
"i'm Lux, nice to meet you what are your names?" Lux asks
"Paige." Paige answers
"Nia."
"Chloe."
"Camila."
"Maddie."
"Mackenzie"
"Brooke."
"nice to meet you" Lux smiles
"you girls are beautiful"
"thank you!" we all say
"you too" Maddie adds
"you from here?" Lux asks
"no we're from Pittsburgh" Maddie says
"all of you from Pittsburgh?" Lux asks
"yeah" Chloe says
"well one of you are going to be playing a miniature me, and i'm so excited to do this with you guys" Lux says
we get directed out
and now it really narrows down who's getting the lead
me, Chloe and Paige are all blondes..
we each have to do a runway for like a audition and i act like a model
we all take a turn and i think we all looked great!
"thank you so much watching you and working with you" one of the directors say
"girls you did an amazing job and this is unlike going out for a dance competition there are levels to this, not only your dance ability but acting ability and then it's down to a certain essence or quality" Seven says
"for this particular role we need to find someone that comes close to looking like Lux and feeling like Lux as possible, for those reasons and based on your talent at the end of the day we have to make a decision about what's going to be best for the video" Seven says
"with everything i mentioned before and i think that we have to go with Chloe because Chloe you got that essence that's working for the video right now"
i gasp and i hug Chloe
my big sister is going to be the star of the show!
we then start shooting the video
and i think it's the most fun i've had all season!
|PITTSBURGH PA|
it's been a month and Abby has us all come into the studio
"first off i want tell you congratulations you are national champions" Abby says
we all cheer
"girls you know i didn't call you all here just to tell you how proud i was i would never take up that time..i was able to snag a copy of the music video" Abby says
we all scream
"are you ready?" Abby asks
"yes!" we all cheer
Abby plays the video
and it starts off with Lux
and it looks so so cool!
then Chloe comes on the screen and she's look incredible!
i think we all looked amazing
and the video was amazing!
after the video ends we all cheer
"i just want you all to know that you are the next generation of the Abby Lee Dance Company, that's going to make it you are bright shining stars you are my stars, yes?" Abby says
