"The place where I saw them taking the airbenders is around here." Kai said as he flew beside us on his bison.
"That's got to be where they took Korra." Mako said.
Kai notices a cave with five Air Nomads carved on the wall. "That's it. Down there, Lefty."
The team all land in front of the cave and dismount, with Tonraq and Bolin supporting dad.
Dad groaned as he rested his hand on Oogi. "Find the airbenders and my family."
Suyin rested her hand on my dad's shoulder. "Don't worry. I'm not coming out without our children and the rest of your people."
The team enters the cave while dad looks on, I turn towards him and give him a big hug.
"F-Fara, my t-thoracic cage." But he embraces my hug anyways.
"We're gonna find them, okay."
"I have no doubt in my mind." He weakly smiled.
I give him a little smile before running into the cave to catch up with the rest of the team.
Kai lead the way as Lin and Su began bending passages through the cave.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing?!" The voice sounded close.
I pointed to the tunnel where I believe the voice originated.
Suyin bended the wall, knocking someone out with her rock.
A sentry bends two rocks at us, we were protected by Suyin's bent wall. When the attack stops, Asami leaps over the wall and stuns the sentry.
"Mom!" Opal cries out.
Suyin hugs her daughter. "Oh, honey, I'm so glad you're safe."
Bolin throws Suyin aside. "Me too." He hugs Opal while Suyin glares at him.
"Fara!"
I rush over to my family.
"Oh, my baby," my mother cooed as I embraced her in a hug.
I began to feel overwhelmed. "Thank spirits, you're alright."
Mom seemed to be the only one who wasn't chained in shackles, she had Rohan resting in her arms. "Thank spirits, you're okay...are you okay?"
I patted away my tears with the back of my palm. "Yeah, I'm alright."
"Sissy!" Meelo screamed. "Help me out of these shackles!"
I laughed to myself before rushing to Meelo and using my bobby pin to unlock the shackles, after I unlocked his shackles, Meelo jumped onto my head.
I laughed holding him in place. "I missed you, too."
"Fara?" Ikki's eyes glossed with tears.
I began to pick on Ikki's lock. "I missed you so much."
"I missed you too." Ikki cried. "Now hurry up and unlock these shackles so I can give you a hug!" She whined.
On cue, the shackles unlocked and Ikki immediately hooked herself to my hip. I stumbled backwards, but regained my balance.
Asami proceeds to free the remaining airbenders. Lin supports uncle Bumi, while aunt Kya is supported by two other airbenders.
"Where's Jinora?" I question.
I turn to see Asami free Jinora, she walks off, and Kai is standing behind her.
Jinora runs toward Kai, relieved. "You're alive!" She hugs him. "I can't believe it."
"I guess she occupied," I murmured.
Meelo who was rested on my shoulder, patted my head. "She's not a very good sister."
"We have to get these two out of here now. They don't look so good." Lin said referring to my dad's siblings.
"What are you talking about? I feel great!" Uncle Bumi slumps down, coughing weakly.
"Oh, no!" I gasp, looking at uncle Bumi and aunt Kya. "Did the red lotus do this to you?"
Uncle Bumi wheezed out. "Oh-h-hey, kiddo."
"You guys get everyone out of here." Tonraq said. "I'll search for Korra."
"We're going with you." Mako said.
I felt a pair of hands wrap around body, it was Jinora, she smiled up at me as she laid her head on my chest. "You don't have to search for her. I know exactly where she's being held."
As my sister leads us into a gloomy crystal cave, Tonraq, Mako, Bolin and I follow after her. Crystal stalactites and stalagmites pierced the ground as we moved deeper into the cave. Unexpectedly loud bangs and crashes echoed through the cave.
Korra was in the Avatar state when we arrived at a massive open cavern. Korra breathes fire toward Zaheer, who dodges the attacks. Korra propels fire from her feet and flies out through the open roof. Zaheer follows suit as he flies out the cave, chasing after her.
I couldn't believe I just witnessed this man fly. I still can't believe it.
"Korra!" Tonraq shouts. "We have to help her."
"Look out!" Bolin blocks Ghazan's attacks.
To Tonraq, Mako says. "You help Korra, we got this."
I turn to my sister. "Jinora, run back to the others, dad is waiting for you outside with Oogi."
"I can help-"
"Jinora," I lightly hissed. "Not right now, please, j-j-just go."
"Okay," she sighed. "Be safe." And with that she left the cave with Tonraq, leaving the brothers and I.
"Hey, Fara?" Bolin whisper yelled. "Who you fighting?"
"No arms girl, why?"
Bolin whined. "Why do you and Mako get to team up? Can't you join me?"
I glanced over at Ghazan who looked like he was ready to attack in any second. "I'm good, it'll be lavabender on lavabender crime."
Mako firebends at Ming-Hua, who dodges the attacks and swings away. Mako and I chase her while Bolin engages with Ghazan.
The waterbender whipped both her arms at Mako and I, but Mako sent a blast of fire dissipating the attacks.
I manage to regain my ground, kicking a blast of air. Ming-Hua avoids the attack whipping one of her arms, sending out a few ice shards.
I fire two quick air blast, and avoid her ice shards by somersaulting above her. I land successfully and sends an air kick to her face, knocking her into the crystals.
She struggles to stand up but when she does, she begins running deep into the cave.
Mako and I chase after her as we back her into a corner. Mako breaks off her water appendages. Ming-Hua trips and loses her appendages.
"You have no water." Mako grunted. "It's over."
"Not yet." Ming-Hua jumps into a hole, avoiding Mako's fire blast and my air blasts. Mako and I follow into the hole, landing in a lake of water.
"Oh, no," I murmur.
Mako lights his wrist, turning we see Ming-Hua behind us with eight large water appendages.
"Now it's over!" Ming-Hua directed multiple water blasts at Mako and I, one of her water tentacles grabbed my ankle.
Mako fires a blast towards my feet, letting the water around my ankle dissolve. He tries to grab my hand, but Ming-Hua's other tentacles wrap around my body, pulling me into her.
With her other tentacle, Ming-Hua caresses my face. "You're a beauty, it's a shame i'm going to have to kill you."
I struggle against her hold, my whole body being strangled by water, except my head and fingers.
"You know, your General boyfriends, kinda hot." Ming-Hua smirked.
Oh no, she didn't.
I turn my head to Mako who was hiding behind the cave. With my finger tips, I created a tiny spark of lightning, indicating Mako to blast her.
He shakes his head, knowing if he blasted Ming-Hua, I would go down with her.
"Do it!"
"What?" Ming-Hua questioned.
"Do it!" I shouted. "Mako, now!"
With my breath, I send a large air blast at Ming-Hua, she releases her appendages around me as I somersault into the air, leaping onto a stalagmite next to Mako as we shoot a strong ray of lighting at the water below Ming-Hua, electrocuting her.
As thousands of volts surged through her body, the woman screamed in agony. The water around Ming-Hua lost its form as she dropped to the side of the cave.
I turn to Mako who looked on in shock but relaxes, letting out a sigh of relief. "We did it."
My breath heaved. "Y-yeah, we did."
Suddenly, Jinora's spirit had projected in front of us. "Fara, I need your help."
"Oh, my spirits, Jinora? Are you trying to give me a heart attack?"
"I need your help, please. Korra's in trouble and everyone is just watching the fight. I need you."
I turn to Mako who nods his head. "Go, I'll help Bolin with Ghazan."
"Okay." I quickly hugged Mako, before he runs off into the cave, looking for his brother.
I glanced at my sisters projected body. "So, how do I get out of here?"
Jinora giggled. "Just hold my hand."
"Ew," I joked, "hold your hand? Never."
Jinora playfully rolled her eyes as I grasped her hand as we magically appeared outside the cave with the rest of the airbenders.
The whole group looks at the fight, with Korra slamming two pillars toward Zaheer, who dodges the attack. Korra sent three rocks at Zaheer and charges toward him.
"So, I heard you guys aren't gonna help?"
"Fara?" My father groaned out. "You're alright. Where are Mako and Bolin?"
"They're still fighting Ghazan. Mako and I killed the waterbender with our electricity."
"Woah!" Meelo screamed out. "Show me how you did it!"
A loud slam was heard when Korra charges toward Zaheer, but crashes onto the mountain side.
Kai looks on in worry. "I can fly up on my bison to help her."
"You'd never be able to keep up with Zaheer." Lin responded. "He's too powerful."
"We have to do something!"
"How can he fly like that?" Uncle Bumi asked.
"He's unlocked powers of airbending that haven't existed for thousands of years." Dad rasped out.
I turn to my father. "There haven't been this many airbenders in one place for a long time either."
"We have power together." Jinora talks to the airbenders. "Hurry, everyone form a circle! Follow me."
The airbenders and I follow Jinora and get into a circle. Jinora stands in the center and creates a small vortex that increases in size, while the airbenders create air gusts to the vortex, causing it to increase in size.
Zaheer flies out to grab Korra and tries to fly away, but the vortex wasn't strong enough to suck him in.
"Fara!" Jinora exclaimed. "Use your tornado!"
"Jinora!" I hissed, "it's too powerful, I could suck them both into the tornado and they could get seriously injured, it's too fast!"
"Please, you have to try!"
I nod my head, I inhaled as the sky began to turn gloomy, thunder struck the air as my whirl tornado that I created began to spin rapidly, sucking Zaheer into the vortex rather than my tornado. I released my own tornado and jumped back in with the air-benders.
After multiple failed attempts to escape the vortex, Zaheer drops Korra and flies off, only to be caught by Korra who flails the chain and manages to catch him by the ankle.
Korra drops down and flings Zaheer with her. The airbenders and I stop creating the vortex, while Korra collapses.
Jinora and I run up to Korra, while the other airbenders look on with worry. Suyin and Lin trap Zaheer in an earth shell. Tonraq, Mako, Bolin and Asami run up to Korra.
Tonraq knelt down and held his daughter in his arms. "Korra. Sweetheart. It's me, Dad. Please hang on."
Korra reaches out to her father, but faints, causing tears to well up in Tonraq's eyes.
I rested my head on Jinora's shoulder as tears began to fill my eyes as well. My little siblings hovered around me as we held each other in a comforting way. Zaheer begins to cackle.
"What are you laughing about?" Lin snarked.
"You're too late!" Zaheer hysterically screamed. "The poison has been in her system too long. The Red Lotus has won!"
Jinora taps my head as she hears this statement. "Fara, did you hear that?"
Jinora quickly stood up as she ran up to Suyin. "You can save her! The poison is metallic!"
Suyin runs to Korra and holds her by the shoulder and forehead. She metalbends and pulls the poison from Korra's limbs, while everyone looks on in; worried. Suyin pulls the poison out of Korra's mouth, causing her to cough, before tossing the poison aside.
"Dad. You're alive." Korra breathed out.
"I'm here for you." Tonraq hugged his daughter. "I'm never gonna let you go."
"No! No!" Zaheer repeatedly shouted. "You don't understand! The revolution has already begun. Chaos is the natural order of a-" Bolin takes off his shoe along with his sock and gags Zaheer with it.
To Opal, Bolin says. "See what I did there? I put a sock in him, literally."
Opal lightly grimaces, but sweetly she says. "Classic, Bolin."
"I do what I do."
