Madi's POV: we finally met up with the triplets at some outdoor shopping plaza to hang out and ever since having that conversation with jess and confronting her about matt it kind of made me feel relieved a little because i have been best friends with jess for a while now we pretty much know almost everything about each other like i know how down bad Jess is for Matt and how she literally is the bestest friend anyone can ask for so me feeling this way about someone that she is extremely close with feels wrong especially since he has no feelings for me what so ever and of course i could never tell jess this because it would force me to come between something that could literally mess everything up..
Nic: hey you okay
he asks madi interrupting her thoughts
Madi: yeah why do you ask
Nic: you seem stressed out about something
Madi: no why would i be stressed i mean i tell you guys everything
she states rather quickly
Nic: okayy anyway should we spy on Matt and Jess they have been acting extra weird lately
Madi: like in a good way or bad way
Nic: i dont know thats why we should find out
Madi: oh my god nic her mom is in town for fucks sake we dont need anything to go down while she is here lets just enjoy our time okay
Nic: what ever you say
he replies walking off to catch up with Jess and Matt as Chris catches up to Madi places his arm around her over her shoulder as she slightly jumps at the sudden contact
Chris: did i scare you
he chuckles
Madi: no you scare me never
Chris: okaayy well you like jumping ten feet says otherwise
madi: shut up chris
states smacking him playfully in the stomach pretending to be hurt from that minor attack
Madi: how are you doing
she states looking at matt and jess walking rather quickly leaving behind nic and Jess' mom
Chris: oh im fine totally fine
Madi; you dont have to lie
she states looking up at him
Chris: im not i was being stupid yesterday jess and matt belong to together
he replies making eye contact with madi
Madi: okay then
she says quickly breaking eye contact with him getting nervous as she looks up to see that matt and jess disappeared
Madi: what the fuck where did they go
Chris: they'll be back eventually its jess and matt theyre probably just being weird
Cassie: hey you two where do you guys want to eat dinner i didnt realize i have to head back to LA tonight and couldnt track down jess to let her know
Madi: umm its up to you since you are visiting where do you want eat
she states subconsciously grabbing chris's hand seeing his arm is still around over her shoulder
Cassie: no seriously its up to you guys
Nic: we could just go to mcdonalds
Chris: thats fine
Nic: oh and jess went to the bathroom
Madi: with matt
she asks confused to why they would go together
Cassie: okay then we will just wait for them i guess i cant leave without saying goodbye
Madi: no of course not
she states as nic finally makes eye contact with her and chris's hands joined together
Nic's POV: holy shit i am just now realizing it. Madi is totally crushing on chris! it make sense as to why she has been acting weird i mean she had been acting kind of weird since everything last night but i didnt realize it till now she's literally comfortably holding his hand right now and may not even fully realize it holy shit
Matt's POV: im so into this girl it is insane we literally told nic jess had to go to the bathroom just to be in more privacy and whatever we do we cant afford to get caught being into each other
Jess: okay matt come on
she giggles out as Matt slightly backs her into a wall proceeding to make out with her which they previously were doing
Matt: what no one is going to catch us here
he says looking around and leaning back in as she wraps her arms around his torso allowing him to kiss her again then pull away
jess: okay but my mom and madi are already suspicous so we cant be doing this right now while she is still in town
she complains as he proceeds to kiss her neck lightly
Matt: okay fine
he sighs pulling away from her completely as jess's phone goes off
Jess; my mom says she leaving tonight we have to go
Matt: okay but first
he trails off pulling her in one more time into his lips
Nic: Oh my fuck
he exclaims as they both look towards him
Jess: nic its not what it looks like
Nic: well it looked like you and my triplet brother were swapping saliva
Jess: okay so maybe
she trails off
Nic: are you two dating then
Matt: uhh yeah
he trails on looking at jess
Jess: dont tell my mom
Nic: oh im not saying anything how are you going to tell chris jess
Jess: he said he was fine with it and that he was joking
trails off looking at her feet
Jess: are you mad
Nic: what no jess youre my best friend im happy for you whatever you decide okay
he says bringing her into a hug
Nic: but for real your mom is ready to go eat and pack her stuff up to leave
Jess: okay lets go then
she states as matt grabs her hand walking back to the parking lot
Jess's POV: we walk back to the parking lot and before we could fully make it into the parking lot i saw madi literally fawning over chris i could see from a mile away and i didnt know how to feel to be honest
Matt: no way
nic: so you see it too its not just me
Jess: see what
she states oblivious
Nic: madi and chris
Jess: oh hm whatever
Nic: whatever you mean you dont feel any way about at all
jess: i mean no its not-
Cassie: oh my god there you guys are you ready to go
Jess: yeah uh mom is it okay if i ride with Matt
Cassie: uh sure sweetie thats fine i think madi is riding with me i guess do you want me to ask her if she wants to join you
Jess: no i mean no its okay
Cassie: i'll see you guys back at your house
Jess: yeah
she replies softly as she walks back to her car
Nic: wow youre totally uncomfortable about all of this arent you
Jess: what no nic shut up im sitting up front with matt
she states abruptly walking to the van with matt following her
Madi: hey jess are you-
She trails off as jess walks over to the van climbing in the front seat with matt on the drivers side
Chris: that was weird do want me to ride with you then since she claimed my spot next to matt
he asks looking at madi still focused on jess's facial expression
Madi: uh i mean you dont have to if you dont want to
she states moving away from him a little to get in the car she was standing next to
Chris: ill come with we are all going to the same place anyway
Cassie: okay cool we ready to go
Madi: um yeah i guess
she replies quietly as chris sits oddly close to her
chris: matt said we could go back to jess's house they are going to pick up food
he states as he turns off his phone
Cassie: okay then to jess's house it is
she states proceeding to pull out of the parking lot
Chris: you okay madi
Madi: huh yeah its whatever
Chris; you sure you seem bothered
Madi: no im not i just nevermind
she trails off keeping her feelings to herself seeing that jess already is mad about something
Cassie: okay question
she trails off as chris and madi look up
Cassie: are matt and jess you know actually
Chris: i dont think so at least they havent said anything if they were or not
Madi; i dont think they are but they are acting really weird
Chris: almost as weird as your acting madi whats up
madi: nothing chris even if i wanted to tell you i couldnt okay
she huffs out opening her phone distracting herself
Jess's POV: i honestly dont know why the whole chris and madi thing set me off so much i mean matt is apparently my boyfriend now so i shouldnt be mad about it although i couldnt shake the feeling of the fact madi literally hasnt thought to bring up any feelings she might even have for chris to me. we were sitting in the mcdonalds drive thru waiting for our food as i was completely zoned out in thought
Matt: helllo jess
Nic: earth to jess
Jess: hmm
Matt: your upset arent you
jess: what no i mean i dont know what i feel honestly im not jealous im not mad at her
Nic: but you completely ignored her
Jess; because i dont know what to say "oh hey madi you totally like chris you were basically fawning over him in the parking lot" like no
she states shaking her head and turning to make eye contact with the two boys in the car with her
Matt: just talk to her its probably not even what you think
Nic: nooo
Matt: what do you mean no nic madi is little like a little sister to us you know that
Nic; she was acting really weird this whole weekend i just didnt say anything because you know its madi
Jess; again why didnt she feel like she could tell me this
Nic: again maybe just ask her you two are really close she probably had her reasons
he states looking at jess then matt
Nic: so yall are dating now then it finally happened
Jess; yeah matt i guess we are dating apparently now
she says raising her eyebrow at the boy
Matt: yeah we are
he states passing her the drink she order with the words can you be my girlfriend written on the cup
Jess; oh my god matt
Nic: what
he states looking at what she is looking at
Nic; oh my god thats so cute
Jess: yes matt i would love to be you girlfriend
she states placing the cup in the cupholder in the car kissing matts cheek as he began to leave the drive thru to head home.
Madi's POV: We have been back at Jess's house for a while waiting the food to get here and i have been staying away or rather avoiding Chris. Have you guessed the secret i have been keeping if it hasnt already been obvious which is probably why jess is mad at me currently well i dont know if thats why she mad and ignoring me and im just getting my head too much. i was currently upstairs pacing in jess's room waiting for her come back as soon as i heard the door open slightly to her room i hoped it was her
Chris: are you okay
Madi: chrisss
Chris: what i was just checking in on you you have been up here for a while
Madi: i thought you were jess
Chris: okay seriously madi sit
he states as she does so on jess's bean bag in her room him sitting next to her
Chris: whats going on with you are you upset that jess ignored you just talk to her
he states looking at madi as she maintained eye contact with her nails
Madi: well no
she trails off
Chris: what is it then
he asks looking at the girl next to him
Madi: the problem is you chris
she exclaims as he looked confused
Madi: you are my problem chris
Chris: wh-what how am i your problem
Madi: its nothing nevermind
she states getting in her head again getting up off of the bean bag going downstairs to be met with finally
Jess: madi we need to talk
she states quietly as i nod my head as she grabs my hand leading me out the door to her driveway
Jess: madi listen you know you can tell me anything i mean it i wont get mad at you
Madi: i know i just feel like a bad friend if i told you what i have been keeping from you
Jess: what is it mads
Madi: i-i
she trails off as jess's mom walks out
Cassie: hey you two.. are you guys okay
she states noticing tears and facial expressions as she walks over and gives them both a hug as jess breaks eye contact with madi and regaining it as her mom does the same thing
Madi: Jess.. i like Chris
Jess: wh-what you like chris
she repeats as she finally looks up at her after maintaining eye contact with the ground
Madi: yeah
Cassie: wow
Jess: how how long
Madi: umm about a few months
Jess: and you didnt tell me madi why
Madi: i just i dont know i saw you and how you and chris were acting before he confessed to you and i just knew he wouldnt like me like that im like their little sister which hurts so bad
she states truthfully breaking down in tears
Jess: aww madi
she says bringing her into a hug as she bawls her eyes out into her shoulder as she rubs her back
Madi: are you mad jess
jess: no madi i was just hurt you couldnt feel like you could tell me that i saw you in the parking lot with chris i knew
she giggles a little
Jess: plus im dating matt
Madi: wait
Cassie: what i just asked if you were
Jess: yeah
Madi: thats amazing so
Jess: he's all yours
she states referring to chris
Madi: but i cant tell him even after knowing him for at least a year now before you moved to boston i still get nervous
Jess; is it the blue eyes that make you nervous
she giggles knowing she still cant maintain eye contact with Matt because of that
Madi: yeah..
she giggles out
Cassie: well madi you tell him when the time is right and that time will come
she states kissing both jess's and madi's forehead
Cassie: well i hate to be the bearer of bad news
jess looks up at her
Jess: youre leaving
she sighs out
Cassie: i know love bug i will be back eventually for what its worth i loved visiting you and meeting your new friends and reuniting with your olds ones
she trails off referring to Madi giving her a side hug
Cassie: and your boyfriend
Jess: mom stop
she giggles out as she hugs her again
Cassie: make sure he treats you right you got that
She states look down at her
Jess: of course mom
Cassie: okay by loves
she states pulling away from the girls getting in her car driving away.
