The first thing Jisung noticed
when he opened the door to their

apartment was how much he
actually missed their cats.

A storm of energetically meowing
furballs rushed down the hall at
the sound of the door opening,
twelve cute paws drumming
on the parquet.

"Babies!"

Soonie immediately hopped in
his owner's arms when Jisung
leaned down, Dori purring aggressively as he rubbed his
head against the blonde's leg.

"Did you boys behave while we
were gone, hm? Yeah, I missed
you too, so much."

The orange cat in the boy's arms
meowed cutely and nudged his
nose against Jisung's chin, demanding
attention but his owner was too busy
scratching the base of Doongie's ear.

"I see, you love Jisung more than me.
And I can't even be mad,
he's so amazing."

Minho chuckled and cooed when
at least Dori meowed in excitement
and waddled over to him, purring
as he got picked up.

"They don't love me more,
I was just the first one entering.
It's so cute how excited they are."

"They just missed us,
our sweet fur babies."

And Jisung could only nod before he
pressed a soft kiss on Soonie's head.

With the happily meowing cat in
his arms and Doongie following
him closely, the blonde made his
way to the kitchen to get a
little treat for their cats.

But when he opened the cabinet,
he couldn't help but chuckle
when he was greeted with tons
of different treats.

Hyunjin might be a dog person
but that didn't mean that he didn't
love spoiling the three fur balls.

Of course he had gotten a list of
things the cats weren't allowed to
eat and a few brand names that were
good for them, especially health-wise.

So there were only treats that
were actually good for their cats.

"Who wants something yummy, hm?
Yeah, you. I know you do,
you sweet thing."

Jisung cooed when Soonie meowed
cutely and placed his paw on
his owner's chest.

But the sound of someone opening
the bag of treats was the cue for the
two other cats to run to their owner.

It only took a few seconds for
Jisung to kneel on the floor, their
three fur balls sitting in front of
him and munching happily on the
treats and when Minho reached the
kitchen, he couldn't help but take
a photo of the cute scene in
front of him.

And his heart jumped when
his husband's belly was kind
of obvious in the photo.

Now that Jisung was five months
along, it was getting really hard
to hide the small secret that was
growing bigger every day.

The hoodie season would end
eventually too, it was almost March
after all and their tiny kitten was
due in the middle of June.

A little summer kitten,
as Minho would coo sometimes.

And yes, the tantrums of unfitting
shirts and tops were still yet to come.

Because even though Jisung loved
the few dresses he had and they
were very comfortable to wear
with his little baby bump, he was
too insecure to wear them outside
of their apartment.

"Sungie?"

"Hm?"

"How does a bath sound?"

"Sounds good, together?"

"We didn't get an indoor jacuzzi
for nothing, huh?"

Minho chuckled and reached his
hands out to pull his husband up
who had slight difficulties to get
up from his froggie position.

Their cats meowed in protest but
it only needed three taps on their
little noses to shut them up and
before they could throw a fit again,
the ravenette had already pulled
his giggling husband behind
him to their bathroom.

The jacuzzi was almost the first
thing they got for their apartment
simply because Jisung had always
wanted a big bathtub and how could
Minho say no to that wish when
it was the key for them to
bathe together?

"How does guava and lotus sound?
Or we have..uhm.."

"The first one sounds good, it's fine.
I'll get our clothes real quick, are
we going to bed right after that?"

"I think so, at least I'm pretty tired
and you need rest too, my love.
We can cuddle and watch a
movie too, we don't have
to sleep right away."

"Okay, be right back."

Jisung smiled and kissed his
husband's cheek before he waddled
away to get their pajamas.

It took a while for the jacuzzi to
be filled with warm water but that
didn't stop Minho from helping the
love of his life out of his clothes so
he could still take a moment to
give their son a few kisses.

"Do you think he'll notice that
now it's a bathtub and not the
ocean anymore?"

"Well, the tide is not as strong in
our bathtub nor do we have strong
waves but he's just a tiny kitten,
he doesn't even know what is
actually happening to him.
I don't think he notices but you
can ask him in a few years when
he can talk if he remembers back
then when he was in his mommy's
tummy if he could differentiate
between bathtub and ocean."

"I'll do that and since he's our son,
he'll be smart enough to actually
give me a reasonable answer."

Minho chuckled as he helped his
husband inside the bathtub and
wrapped his arms around the
younger male from behind.

"You're right, he's got a smart daddy."

"And a smart and pretty mommy."

"By the way.. Did you check
the temperature?"

"Of course, my love.
If I ask you to bathe with me,
I'll have to make sure that there's
no risk for you, hm?"

"You're really the best."

And the ravenette only hummed
as he placed soft kisses on Jisung's
damp shoulder, his hand drawing
gentle circles on the cute baby bump.

Maybe their son was kicking to tell
his parents that he preferred the
warm salty water of the gulf of
Thailand over the bathtub.

But maybe he was also just a
tiny happy kitten, trying to tell
with his little kicks how much
he loved his parents.
