"do you think i'll be higher on the pyramid this week?" i ask mommy
"maybe, we can hope right?" mommy says as we enter the studio
"yep!" i say

Abby talks about us winning last week and we all clap
"i'm very proud and you know i don't say that to often and i'm proud that the moms kept their mouths shut and didn't say anything to me see how much nicer it is when everything goes so smoothly? was wonderful" Abby says
"now let's talk about this week's competition" Abby says and she turns the chalkboard around

"we are going to..what?" Abby asks
"Star Power!" we all say
"it's at the Mohegan Sun in Conniecuit and it's a resort it's all self contained we can't forget anything so we will have a wardrobe each day they are going to be there just like old school days yes? and you will pack here infront of me so that i know you have everything, let's talk about the board" Abby says
"first of all everybody worked together as a team that teamwork is going to help at nationals, teamwork and technique those are two things we are going to work on this week, moms we are doing another new number!" Abby says
we all cheer
"one more costume!"
"this week i'm going to ask you to work harder than you've ever worked before we need to show up like we own the place, i will give you a pack list for the trip i want them dressed a certain way every single day that we are there, everyone understand that? yes, moms thank you very much ladies let's get up let's go" Abby says
|Three Days To Competition|
Abby hands us all a packing list and it's really exciting
"Cathy the reason we do this so that it's easy for me to find the kids when i'm travelling with children and i need to grab this quickly, i want to take a photo or something shows up and then they all look good for my programme book" Abby says
"i'm all about theme but these little themed outfits are just for the children?" Cathy asks
"oh no no no, there for everyone attending" Abby says
"hold the phone for just a moment because we've already went shopping and bought some fabulous clothes and i'm seeing here, black and white nighttime and i'm gong to assume you're talking about banquets and i jabs a fabulous fusha formal i'm going to be wearing and she has green" Cathy says
i look to mommy and she is rolling her eyes
|Two Days To Competition|
"alright girls the number that we are going to do for this weeks competition is called make you mine can you say that?" Abby asks
"make you mine" we say
"i want you to go out and i want you to get the older girls chairs" Abby says
we leave studio A to grab the chairs
we learn the group routine and i really like it because we get to be sassy
"turns that foot out Nia! it's not straight!" Abby yells out
"arms Nia where are those arms? last night at dinner with your dad that's where the arms are!"
"you're the last one! it was a one hundred percent one hundred percent one hundred percent, fifty percent" Abby says
we do the turn section and i feel bad for Nia..
after rehearsals we go to the dancers den so some of the girls can try on their costumes
"i have costumes!" Abby says
we all cheer
"alright Nia put this on first sweetie" Abby says and she hands Nia her costume
"Chloe this is you, again it's not what i drew i should've sent the fabric" Abby says and then Holly comes into the dancers den
the other girls go to try on their costume
"girls! Brooke, oh we're not too bad" Abby says
"you look pretty Chloe" i say
"oh my god Nia!" mommy says as Nia comes in
"and you know i want her in a afro, do you have one from when we did my hair looks fierce?" Abby asks
"let me just pull out my purse, i don't have an afro" Holly laughs
"you don't have one in your purse?" mommy asks
"i just changed purses" Holly says
|Competition Day|
we get on the bus and i sit beside Chloe
and she does two braids in my hair and we also watch some movies
Abby soon falls asleep and Paige sneaks up on Abby and puts a gummy worm in her mouth
"i thought you liked gummy worms!" Paige says when Abby wakes up
we all laugh
we get to the competition and we get to the dressing room
"moms they're running thirty minutes ahead so get their makeup on quickly as possible so we have time to run this number that's more important" Abby says
mom or does my hair and then she does Chloes
and then Chloe does her makeup and mommy does mine
i get in my costume and it's really pretty
Camilas group costume: (Maddies but without the jacket)
Chloe helps me stretch
we eventually go backstage for the group number
"please help me welcome Make You Mine" the announcer says
we all enter with our chairs and i start with sitting on my chair
i try to keep up with the other girls and i think i do a good job
we finish the group routine and we exit the stage
"we were terrible, i'm really embarrassed" Maddie says as she starts to cry
"i thought it was good" Paige says
we head back to the dressing room
"i thought you were so good!" mommy hugs me
"and you were amazing" mommy then hugs Chloe
"girls, i'm really disappointed..and why were you crying?" Abby says to us
"i got hurt a little" Maddie says
"you got hurt a little? what happened?" Abby asks
"when i jumped off my chair i twisted my ankle." Maddie says
"okay." Abby nods

"only four tenths of a point separates first from third" the announcer says
"third place is Gratitude number 124"
"in second place world champion today is, Make You Mine number 128"
Paige goes to get our award
we had back to the dressing room
and mommy helps Chloe get ready for her solo and i get changed into leggings and a t shirt with my ugg boots and my team jacket
we go the audience for all the solos and i sit on mommy's lap
Maddie performs first and her solo is for her grandmother this week
so it's sweet
Brooke and Paige perform next
then Kenzie and Vivis duet
then Chloe performs her solo
and she did really well!
Nia does her solo next
and i thought she did amazing

Brooke got third in her solo
Paige and Nia didn't place
Chlo got sixth
and Maddie won first!
we go back to the dressing room and i give Chloe a hug
"i thought you were amazing, you should be very proud of yourself" mommy says to Chloe
"thank you" Chloe smiles
