I put my phone in my pocket as Isabelle and I quickly order smoothies and we step off to the side waiting for them. "Are you excited for your 6 months?" Isabelle asks as I nod.
"Yeah, it feels kind of weird though because this is our second time hitting it." I say as she nods slightly.
"Means more now though, right? Since you're both older and what not." She questions as I nod.
"Yeah I guess so, like he's the guy I want to marry one day, so I guess it's important." I joke as she smiles.
"Benefits of knowing each other forever, like I feel like you could get married early and no one would question it, because you've been best friends for ages." She hints at as I shake my head with a smile as we grab our smoothies.
"You're onto something." I joke as we begin making our way back to the hotel.
"What are you two doing today?" She asks as we get on the elevator, pressing the 7.
"I'm not sure, last night he was saying something about how he had stuff planned and that I should trust him, so I guess it's a fun surprise." I shrug as she smiles.
"It'll still be fun though I bet." She says as we get off the elevator, going to our room. We go in and I go into our bedroom, and Pedri is sitting on the bed.
I hand him a smoothie as I finally look at him, "thank you." He says quietly.
"Oh my god you shaved." I say as I sit next to him and he nods with a smile.
"You like it?" He jokes as I nod.
"I like it all." I say as I stand back up, "maybe I just like you, but who knows." I shrug as he fights back a laugh and I go in the bathroom.
"I haven't shaved in like a week," he begins as he leans against the doorframe of the bathroom as he's watching me, "and I know you like it like this too."
"Hey, I like when you have facial hair too." I say as I look at him through the mirror, "how long do we have until we have to leave?" I ask as I turn to face him this time.
He looks at his phone quickly and he tilts his head slightly, "do you want to shower first?" He asks as I nod, "does an hour work? We can push our lunch back an hour." He offers as I nod with a smile.
"Yes, thank you." I say as I give him a quick kiss before I grab a towel.
"Wait," he says as he grabs my hand, pulling me back towards him, "when did you get your nails done?" He questions as he looks at my hands.
"I thought you never look at my hands?" I question as he shrugs, sitting on the counter as I turn on the shower.
"Started paying attention to them more I guess." He says as he drinks his smoothie. "They were blue, but now they're not."
"You don't like them?" I question as I look at them quickly, before I strip, stepping in the shower.
"No I like them, just wondering when you got them done." He says.
"Yesterday. Isabelle and I got them done." I say as I stick my head out of the curtain to look at him. "Now can you tell me what we're doing today?" I question as he smiles.
"Well we're going to lunch clearly, and I have a few other small things planned, and then we will go get dinner tonight at a nice restaurant." He says as I begin shampooing my hair.
"That sounds fun." I say.
"But?" He questions.
"But what?" I ask.
"That felt like a sentence that you were going to add more to." He says as I begin rinsing my hair.
"No, that was the end of my sentence." I scoff.
"Mhmm." He hums as I hear him leave the bathroom. I quickly finish my shower and I wrap the towel around my body and I go put on a pair of shorts and a random shirt so I can begin getting ready, and I'll have time to pick an actual outfit.
"Pedri?" I question as I open the door to our room and as I'm drying my hair I stop in the doorway at everyone sitting on the couch and on the floor. "This is freaky."
"It's time for your present." Pedri says as he stands up, coming over to me.
"So why are they all here?" I question as he grabs out a little box.
"Because it's mainly my present to you, but it includes everyone as well." He says as I nod slightly.
He opens the box and there's a plain charm bracelet with nothing on it and I give him a look, "what's this?" I question as he holds it.
"We all got charms that we will put on it to start it off, and as time goes on we will find more charms to add." He says as I smile.
Ale comes up first and he puts a charm on it, "since I'm your fashion consultant I figured there's no better charm than a little high heel." He says as he gives me a quick hug before going and sitting back down.
Pablo then comes up, putting it on, "we kind of started a little tradition of getting coffee together, so I found a little coffee bean charm." He smiles as he gives me a hug.
"I got you a little dinosaur. We both really like using the dinosaur emoji, and I wasn't too sure what to get but as soon as I saw that one I knew it was the one." Jude says as he puts it on, giving me a hug.
"Tate for a long time you have been my uber, so I got you a car key charm because I'm clearly your favorite passenger." Gavi says as he puts it on and I begin laughing as he gives me a hug.
Ansu comes up next, putting one on, "at some point in our friendship I kind of became your personal photographer and also the other way around, so I got a camera because it felt fitting." He says as he gives me a hug.
"Tate, I'll keep it simple, I got you a little lock charm. Somewhere along the line you became my best friend, and I'm grateful that you're in my life and now you're kind of set as my best friend, so that's that." Isabelle says as she puts it on and I wrap my arms tightly around her in a hug.
Isabelle then switches spots with Pedri, holding the charm bracelet as he reaches in his pocket. "So as you probably remember the number 8 has a lot of meaning to our relationship because it's the day we met, but we also coincidentally started dating on the eighth as well which adds even more of a reason that this charm is the most fitting." He says as he puts it on, before he comes over wrapping his arms around me.
"We have one more too," Jude says as he gets up, "we also decided to get a triangle charm to symbolize the whole pyramid thing that you started, but even though we joke about you patronizing us, I know we all enjoy it, and it's always fun to hear your explanations." He adds as he puts it on the bracelet.
"And then this one is just for Hawaii because I feel like it's the first of many trips we take together." Pedri says as he puts a little palm tree on it.
"Thank you." I whisper as he takes it from Isabelle, putting it on me as I look at all of the charms. "I know we don't do it often, but can we group hug?" I question as everyone begins laughing, coming over to me.
"Can't pass up on one of these." Gavi says as he jumps on top of everyone, and everyone immediately begins laughing as Pedri reaches his hand up, making sure he doesn't fall.
"See and now you can't be mad at me for giving you a present when it was technically everyone." Pedri says as he gives me another hug.
"It was his idea though, so it was technically him." Isabelle says quietly as Pedri gives her a look.
"Well I love it, so thank you everyone." I say quietly as they nod, smiling at me.
"Now go finish getting ready, we don't have long until we have to leave." Pedri mumbles as I go in the room again, finding something to wear.
—I'm skipping to dinner, SUE ME IDC—
"This place is cute." I say as we get seated on a patio with little lights around the railings and Pedri nods.
"They're supposed to have good food too, so even better." He smiles as I begin looking through the menu. After I find what I want I set the menu down and I look at Pedri as his eyes don't leave the menu, causing me to smile slightly.
After maybe two minutes his eyes finally leave the menu and he gives me a look, "hmm?" He hums as I shrug.
"I just like looking at you." I smile as he shakes his head, trying to not laugh.
"Yeah?" He asks as I nod.
"Yep. A lot actually." I say as he reaches across the table, grabbing my hands.
"Did you like your present?" He asks as I look at the bracelet and I nod.
"It's perfect. It's a reminder for all of my favorite people, and things that have meaning for my relationships with each person." I smile, "and I honestly think it's so weird we started dating on the eighth too, I never even thought about that."
"It's so meant to be then." He shrugs as I laugh.
"Geez, I guess so." I say as the waiter comes and takes our order and I look out at the view. "I don't want to leave Hawaii." I say as I cross my arms, looking at the sunset.
"Well we have to go home at some point." He jokes as I nod.
"I know, but I feel like this has been good though, you know? We can just be careless, waking up at random times during the day, and getting smoothies any time we want." I say as he's looking at me, smiling fondly. "What?"
"Sometimes I just look at you and I'm just overwhelmed with every feeling. Tate, I've been in love with you for as long as I can remember and it's just crazy to think we're making that a reality, again. And the timing is perfect right now for us, and you are just the epitome of everything good." He says as I give him a look, a smile tugging at my lips.
"I love you." I whisper as he nods.
"I love you." He says quietly. "I really do love you."
I smile as suddenly someone hits a drink off the table next to us, it shattering and spilling on the ground. I reach down with my napkin, trying to dry my feet off, now soaked in alcohol. "I'm so sorry about that." A woman says as she turns to me.
"No that's okay." I smile as she nods reluctantly and I turn to Pedri again and he hands me another napkin.
"Did any glass cut you?" He asks as I shake my head no.
"No, I'm just sticky now. I'll be back." I say as I get up, going inside and making my way to the bathroom, trying to quickly wash what I can.
After a few minutes I give up and I go back outside and Pedri is taking pictures with fans. I go sit at the table again as I look at him, "Nice to meet you." He waves as they begin walking down the path again and he sighs as he sits down. "That's like the sixth group of people who have come up to me since you've been gone." He mumbles.
"You're just a total catch." I joke as he scoffs and our food gets brought out to us. I stare down at the food in front of me and Pedri immediately sighs.
"This isn't what we ordered." He says as the waiter gives us a look, "we both got pasta, not burgers." He adds.
"Sorry about that." The waiter says as he grabs the plates and Pedri rubs his jaw with his hand as he takes a deep breath.
"It's okay." I say quietly as he clenches his jaw.
"Mhmm." He hums as he sits up fully. We had a pitcher of water at the edge of our table and as someone was trying to get around someone else, they bumped it and it spilt all over our table, getting on us as well. "Okay this is ridiculous." Pedri says as he stands up, looking at the water spilt all over him.
He takes out his wallet and puts down enough cash to pay for the dinner and he starts walking down the steps of the patio and I grab my bag as I follow behind him. "Wait, wait." I say as he turns around, looking at me.
"This night cant get any worse, this is terrible." He says as he throws his hands up and I shake my head.
"It's okay." I whisper as he shakes his head.
"Let's just go back to the hotel, we can figure out dinner because we need to change." He says as he looks at my dress and I look down.
My dress was soaked, and my feet and shoes were covered in alcohol. "This is just kind of funny at this point." I joke as he shakes his head no.
"No, it's pissing me off. Why is this happening today?" He questions as he sighs.
I shrug as we begin walking down the path to the hotel and as soon as we start our walk back it begins pouring. "You've got to be fucking kidding me." He says as he takes his jacket off, covering the both of us to the best of his ability, and we begin walking faster.
The restaurant was luckily pretty close to the hotel, but by the time we got to the hotel we were both completely soaked. "You know, it somehow got worse." I joke as we get on the elevator and he goes completely silent as he crosses his arms, staring at the numbers going up.
When it gets to the seventh floor we go down to our room and as we go in Isabelle and Gavi are both on the couch and they turn to look at us. "Looks like it went well." Gavi laughs as Isabelle smacks his arm.
Pedri immediately goes in our bedroom, closing the door as I set my bag down. "What happened?" Isabelle whispers.
"Someone at the table next to us dropped her drink on the ground and it got all over my feet and my heels so I was sticky, then we got brought the wrong food, and someone knocked over our pitcher of water, spilling it on us. And to top it all off it started pouring as soon as we started to walk back." I say as I take off my heels.
"At least you were already wet from the water pitcher." Gavi shrugs.
"And he's in a bad mood because of how the day is going, so that's great." I mumble as I go in our bedroom and Pedri is going through his clothes.
"I'm sorry this day was ruined from all of that, that wasn't supposed to happen at all." He says as I shake my head.
"Just get changed and dry off, it's okay." I say as I grab a towel, beginning to dry myself off before I change into something else.
I go into the bathroom and quickly wash my feet and legs so I'm no longer sticky and Pedri is sitting on the counter, shaking his head. "How did this day get so bad in the span of like an hour?" He asks as I look at him, drying my legs off.
"The day didn't go bad, the dinner did." I say as I go into the bedroom, getting into bed as he sighs.
"I wanted it to be perfect, and it was far from that. By the end I don't think anything worse could have happened." He mumbles.
"Come on, I want to talk." I say as I lift the covers and he gets in bed, facing me.
"Wait, you said you got me something too, what is it?" He asks as I wrap the covers around me tightly.
"That's what I wanted to talk about." I say as he nods slightly, "so I was thinking more about it and I think the time is right."
"For what?" He questions as I take a deep breath, moving so I'm sitting up. "Tate, for what?" He asks again as he sits up too.
"For kids." I say as he furrows his eyebrows, "I've just been thinking about it and like you want kids, I'm ready for kids and we agreed that we'd have kids when the time felt right, and I really think it's right." I add. "And at dinner you said the timing is perfect for us right now, granted that was you talking about our relationship, but I want kids with you."
He sits there in silence as I begin spinning my ring around my finger and he opens his mouth as if he's about to say something but he shakes his head. "Are you serious?" He asks quietly as I nod.
"A few days ago when I said I want kids with you I stopped taking my birth control. It takes 48 hours to get out of my system and it's been that long." I say as he smiles.
"You really want kids?" He questions as I nod with a smile.
"The more we talk about it the more I want to have kids, and I don't care that we're young at this point. Like I'm meant to be a mom, and I know that." I say as he immediately wraps his arms around me.
"Okay wait, it's not just one of those things you say now and you'll regret it in like a month, right?" He asks as he pulls away quick.
"No, I want them." I say quietly, "with you."
"We'd have the most perfect daughter." He whispers as I give him a look.
"We can't pick a daughter." I say as he nods.
"I know, but I just have a feeling it'd be a daughter. In that cute little body of yours, I feel like we'd only have daughters." He says as he gives me a kiss and I smile.
"I thought I wanted a boy, but I think I'd rather see you have a daughter because you want one so bad." I say as he kisses me again.
"Not just one, I want multiple." He smiles as I begin laughing.
"Well we have to have one first before we decide if we want more." I say as I give him a look.
"You really want us to be parents?" He questions as I nod.
"As long as it's with you yes. Because I love you, and only you, and I feel like the timing for us is right." I say as I lay down and he immediately comes and lies on top of me as I rub his back.
"Maybe this day isn't so bad after all." He whispers as he kisses my neck softly. "Is that the present?" He asks as I nod.
"Yeah, giving up my body for 9 months while growing our child is your present, seems like a good deal to me." I say.
"It'll be worth it though. Because we'll be parents." He whispers as he gets off of me. "I need to do something."
I lean up on my elbows as he goes into his suitcase, grabbing out a box of condoms, and opening the bedroom door up. He leaves it open as he goes and knocks on Isabelle and Gavi's door, seconds later opening it up.
He tosses the box to Gavi, "you'll be needing these more than me." Pedri says as he closes their door, not letting Gavi respond and I immediately begin laughing as he comes back in our room, shutting the door.
"Bro brought a whole box with him." I joke as he shrugs, getting back in bed.
"Wanted to be prepared, but looks like I no longer need to." He says as he places his hand on my jaw, smiling into a kiss.
