"All right, what the hell is this?" Dominic questioned while he watched a fried car brought in front of his garage "What do you got there"
Dayanara appeared from the corner wanting to know what had Dom and Jesse's attention when she saw the blonde haired man
"This is your car" Brian replied with a huge grin plastered on his face
"My car?" Dominic pointed to himself "I said a ten second car not a ten minute car" Dayanara laughed looking at him, who stood next to the car proudly
"You could push this across the finish line" Jesse started "... or tow it"
"You couldn't even tow that across the finish line" Dayanara added
"No faith" Brian shrugged
"I have faith in you, but this isn't no junkyard" he responded "This is a garage"
"Pop the hood" Brian said confidently
"Pop the hood?"
"Pop the hood" he repeated. Daya and Letty followed the boys to the hood of the car
"2JZ engine" Jesse implied "no shit"
"And what did I tell you" Brian smiled
"I retract my previous statement" Dom said pointing at the fried engine
"You know what? This will decimate all after you put about $15,000 in it... or more, if we have to overnight parts from Japan" Jesse continue
"We'll put it on my tab at Harry's" Dominic said
"Yes!" Jesse grinned
They made their way back into the garage, and she sat down on the hood of the car continuing to finish the paper work she was previously working on
"I got to get you racing again so I can make money off of your ass" Dom stated "Theres a show in the desert called Race Wars. That's where you'll do it"
"And when you're not working at Harry's, your working here. If you can't find the right tool in this garage , Mr. Arizona, you don't belong near a car" he finished walking to his girlfriend and left Brian to find his way to Dayanara
she smiled looking up at him "That's a pretty car you have over there, I almost thought it was a ferrari" she joked shaking her head
"Who said it wasn't a ferrari" He playfully winked sitting next to her on the hood of the car that was parked inside the garage
His presence felt peaceful to Daya, he felt almost comforting to be around
"What are you doing later" she asked causing him to raise his eyebrow in response "you should come over for our barbecue"
"That sounds great. I'll be there" he smiled at her, admiring all her natural features like he always did
"Yo" Dominic called out snapping Brian and Daya out of their stare and looking at Dom "Help me out over here" He told Brian "And keep your distance from my sister" he said almost half seriously making Daya roll her eyes
"Sounds like my brother owns you now" Daya whispered jokingly into his ear
"No. No. No one owns me" he shook his head
"Brian!" Dom called out again, she laughed softly making him turn around and roll his eyes at the horrible timing
"Totally cowboy" She patted his chest "You're owned by no one"

"Daya! The chicken's dry" Leon shouted from the kitchen
"Alright I'm coming" she shouted back making her to the house "Can you help bring out the stuff please" she asked Brian. He nodded jogging to the door
They we're having a family barbecue and no one was bothered by Brian joining them
"Here you go" Daya placed the chicken on the table
"Hey hold up" Dominic said as Jesse grabbed the chicken putting it on his plate "because you were the first to reach in you say grace"
Brian watched as they all got silent waiting for Jesse to start. He looked around the table stopping at Daya who had a smile on her face looking at Jesse struggle to find the words
He liked the way Dayanara always prioritized her family. He saw it in her eyes
She caught his stare and smiled
"Dear heavenly.." Jesse started
"spirit" Leon helped
"Spirit. Thank you" Jesse replied gratefully "Thank you for providing us with a direct port nitrous injection, four core intercoolers, ball bearing turbos, and titanium valve springs. Thank you"
"Thank you"
"Amen"
"Not bad" Dom smiled. Dayanara laughed shaking her head
"He was praying to the car gods, man" Letty laughed
"Look who it is. 'Old Coyotes 'R' Us'." Leon teased as Vince walked up to the crew with a slight expression of shame "I thought you weren't hungry, pumpkin" Leon commented
"He's always hungry" Letty added
Brian got tense as he saw Vince but he looked at Daya who had offered Vince a small smile and with that he relaxed. If she was at peace, he was at peace
"You know, I gotta eat" Vince replied
"All right, sit down" Dominic said as Vince kissed the back of his head
"How you doing, Daya" Vince asked stroking her shoulder before sitting down
"Here you go" Leon gave Vince a plate
"Jesse, hand me that chicken" Vince asked
"Let's eat some grub, man" Letty smiled

"I saw the way he looks at you" Letty commented sitting on the countertop behind Daya, watching her wash the dishes "It's cute"
"Oh shut up" she laughed "I could never"
"What's stopping you? Dom? Because you know-" Letty began but Daya was quick to cut her off
"No, theres just a lot going on right now, with the trucks, school, and just a little bit of Dom I mean come on. Dom actually likes this guy" Daya shrugged
Letty jumped off the counter "Look all I'm saying is you give the guy a shot, he's into you and you're into him. Your allowed to have fun D" she suggested before walking out of the kitchen and into the living room
Wasn't shortly after when Brian entered the kitchen watching Dayanara from the doorframe before asking her a question
"Need a hand with anything else?" Brian asked
"No, I'm good. You can go join the boys and watch the movie" She replied not turning to look at bim
"The cook doesn't clean where I come from" he stated
"Yeah, I'd like to go there"
"I still think we should go out some time" Brian suggested
"You're not going to give up are you" She turned her head to meet his eyes
"No, no I don't think I'll ever give up" she couldn't help but smile at his words
He always knew what to say and when to say it. He knew how to make someone feel like they mattered
Dayanara felt like she mattered. Talking to him made her feel that way
"I can't. I don't date my brothers friends" she said
"That sucks. I'll have to kick his ass then" he added
"I'd pay to see that" she laughed, she nudged into his shoulder
"Hey, wash my car when you done" a voice added. Daya turned around disgusted looking at Vince who was visibly tipsy
"What did you just say" she replied
"No Daya, I'm talking to the punk" he chucked "Wear your favorite dress when you're done. Because I'm putting you on the street where you belong cutie" he spat as he started abusing the microwave "What's wrong with this thing"
Dayanara rolled her eyes at him "Hey Vince?" she tried to get his attention but his name coming out of her mouth was already enough for him "What was that cuban restaurant you wanted to take me too" she approached him
Brian watched the girl with a confused look. The jealously was setting in as well as he watched her interact with Vince. He clenched jaw watching the way he hovered over her
"What was it called?"
"Cha Cha Cha" grinning like a child
"Yeah that one" she smiled at him before turning back to Brian and placing her hand on his chest "Well you can take me there Friday night at 10:00. Does that sound good to you" she tilted her head at him stepping closer
"Yeah, thats perfect" Brian smiled down at the girl before looking at Vince who looked as if he was about to explode
Vince hit the microwave in frustration and left the kitchen yelling at Leon and Jesse to make their own popcorn
The both of them stayed in the the kitchen comfortable in the silence
Dayanara couldn't help but fall into his eyes again. His eyes were doing it every time. She couldn't piece it together about this white boy, he was like a mystery. It's what she liked most
He wasn't just a street racer who had a desire for money. He had a good heart
"So you're finally saying yes to the date" He smirked down at her sending her to snap out of her daze
"I guess as I am but don't think you're so special" she smirked back. He moved the strand of hair from her face to behind her ear and cupping her face with the one hand while the other rested on her hip. He pulled her body closer into his leaving their faces just inches apart once again
His physical contact flustered her as all she wanted to do was smash their lips together, but she had to hold it together
"I might have to fight your brother and ex boyfriend for feel special" he joked as she laughed
Brian had never felt such need and want for someone but it was wrong. All wrong. Slowly falling for the Toretto. It went against everything he had to do in the mission
He just met her. Why did she already have him wrapped around her finger
"How is that you're Dom's sister" he asked making her narrow her brows confused on where he was going with this
"You're so much prettier than him it's hard to believe you guy's are related" he joked around as she playful pushed him away
"Funny you say that I always thought his bald head was my biggest competition" she laughed as he reached for the hold on her hand
"You might be right, he's shiny head is very good looking" he chuckled
"Let's go watch that movie blondie"
