Following the accident of Kureno, Reign and Hatori cleaned his blood up with the help of the maids on hand. They did it silently and with the communication of eye movements and hand gestures. Though everyone tried to act like everything was fine, it wasn't. Everything was indeed not fine. The family head nearly killed a family member and is now nowhere to be found.

After they cleaned the room up, the maids tried to treat Reign and Hatori to a cup of tea but they declined politely and told them to take it easy for the rest of the day. As the two of them left Akito's house, it was already well into raining outside. Reign got to the car and just sat in the drivers seat did a while unmoving. She didn't know what to say with only the two of them in the car. What could she say?

"I have an idea as to where Akito could be." Hatori said suddenly, pulling Reign away from her thoughts.

Reign whipped her head quickly in his direction. "Where?"

"The only place she can go; Shigure's house."

"You're right. I don't know why that didn't cross my mind! It's close by."

Hatori grabbed Reign's hand which made her look at him. "Do you think we should go there though?"

Reign had a confused expression on her face. "What do you mean? Tohru is there right now and only Akito knows what she's going to do next."

"The smartest place for us to go is the hospital. If anyone else gets injured they'd have no choice but to come to our hospital. We also can't forget Kureno. Think rationally."

Reign took a deep breath after listening to his words and closed her eyes. She thought it over in her head and when she finally opened her eyes, she felt calmed. Reign looked at him and nodded.

"Then we'll go to the hospital."

Hatori nodded and let go of her hand. "We'll just sit in the waiting room. I don't want to be a doctor today."

"Neither do I. I don't think I'm in the headspace for it today." Reign confessed as she cranked the car up.

*

"How can I-" the receptionist greeted before realizing who it was she was talking to. "Doctors, what are you doing here? Work schedule?"

Reign shook her head. "No. We have a family member that was brought here. Kureno Soma."

She looked down at her computer and typed the name into the system. After a few seconds she must've came across some information and looked up at them once more.

"He's in surgery right now. You can wait in the waiting room or break room."

Reign nodded and she felt Hatori grab her hand. She squeezed it and sat in the waiting room. She felt anxious about not visiting Shigure's but pushed the thought out of her mind as they waited for Kureno to get out of surgery. Reign leaned her head onto Hatori's shoulder and he kissed the tip of her nose softly.

The hospital seemed to be scarily not busy and the lack of patients made Reign feel that something was off. Soon after she discovered the hospital being somewhat empty, another ambulance pulled up and she saw gray hair. Reign hit Hatori's shoulder and pointed. The sight the two saw was Tohru on a stretcher and receiving oxygen while Yuki looked frantic. Reign let go of Hatori's hand and got up quickly.

The doors to the hospital bursted open as the paramedics brought her in. The paramedics were speaking but Reign didn't hear anything. All she saw was Tohru laid out on the stretcher unmoving and unconscious. Her clothes were dirty and there was blood coming from her. Reign tried to walk up to the stretcher and check for herself if she was alive but Hatori stopped her and brought her into a bone crushing hug.

"We're not doctors today." he whispered. "Just as much as you're worried, I am too. Don't leave me alone."

Reign felt tears arise in her eyes from the sight of two bloody figures that she cared for. She felt her legs grow weak and was glad that Hatori was supporting her. Reign hugged him back and let out a cry.

"What the hell is going on? Why are there two people injured?" she cried.

"Two?" Yuki questioned suddenly. "Who's the other?"

Reign turned her head to look at him and sniffled. "Kureno. Akito stabbed him. What happened to Tohru?"

Yuki rubbed his head and let out a laugh of disbelief. "She was with Akito and the ground was too wet on the mountain. Part of it broke and Akito didn't catch her in time. Tohru fell from a high height and when I saw her, she was already still and unconscious."

For the first time in a while, Reign saw Yuki cry. His body shook as he held himself and she couldn't stand it. Despite feeling weak in the legs, Reign gave Hatori a pat on his back to make him look at her so he'd let go. He did so reluctantly and watched Reign go up to Yuki. Reign used her right hand to grab his head and the other to wrap around his back to hug him. He let her do so and cried silently. Reign couldn't help but cry alongside him.

Hatori sat down and put his head in his hands. He felt exhausted and he hadn't even done much today. One person being in the hospital was enough but two? And them both being in critical condition was even worse. He could imagine what was happening but he wish he couldn't. Being a doctor was truly a blessing and a curse.

Reign and Yuki held each other for a while before breaking the hug and sitting down and waiting anxiously. To keep her mind busy, Reign excused herself and went to buy some drinks and snacks for them that they probably wouldn't even bat and eye at nor eat. She couldn't stand being seated in the quiet waiting room waiting for news. If she was correct, Kureno should be coming out of surgery soon.

After getting the snacks and refreshments, Reign returned to the melancholy waiting room and sat the snacks on the table. She couldn't even bring herself to open her water because of the lump in her throat. Reign hadn't felt like that in a while. She cleared her throat and looked at Yuki.

"Has anyone contacted Tohru's grandfather? He needs to know about his granddaughter."

Yuki was about to speak but was interrupted by an old man that Reign had never meet before.

"Did you perhaps say Tohru's name?"

Reign looked at Hatori before turning her head to look at Yuki who was stiffened in worry.

"Don't worry. We'll be back so go to the bathroom to calm yourself." she whispered as she got up.

Hatori and Reign walked over to him and bowed in greeting. He did the same and the three of them got acquainted after he had risen.

"I'm Reign Soma and this is my boyfriend Hatori Soma. We're the family doctors. Nice to finally meet you." Reign introduced.

"Likewise. Are you two familiar with Shigure Soma?"

Hatori nodded. "Us three are of the same age so we've known each other since we were children."

Her grandfather smiled. "Then I'll say I respect you all the same. The times that Kiyoko has gotten sick, you must've taken care of her, right? And the family trips and such as well?"

"Yes sir. Our family has taken a liking to her." Reign mentioned in a high regard.

"That's good. I thank you for taking care of her when I couldn't."

Reign bowed her head. "It's no problem."

Hatori checked his watch before speaking. "I think it'll be a bit before Tohru comes out of surgery. Shall we go sit?"

Her grandfather agreed and the three of them went to sit down. Yuki seemed to relax once him and her grandfather started to talk and that helped Reign relax. The events of today had her exhausted but she was restless. Kureno's surgery dragged on for so long that it was now dark outside. Soon, a doctor came out and approached the four of them. Reign was anxious but pushed the nerves away.

"Are you all here for Kureno Soma?" he asked.

"We are." answered Hatori. "Did surgery go well?"

The doctor nodded and cleared his throat. "It went smooth and we got to stop the internal bleeding. He'll stay in the hospital for about a week before we release him."

Reign let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you. Also, do you have any updates on Tohru Honda? We're also here for her."

"I believe her surgery is almost over. Please continue to wait patiently."

He bowed to them before he left. Reign kept her head up using her palms as she felt her tiredness creep up on her. Hatori looked at her with uneasiness. She looked horribly exhausted.

"We should come back tomorrow and check on the both of them." he said, getting up and offering his hand to her.

Reign rubbed her head and sighed. "I think you're right."

Reign lifted her head and took his hand before looking at Yuki snd Tohru's grandfather.

"Will you two stay here? Yuki, how will you get home?"

Yuki was going to speak but Tohru's grandfather intercepted.

"You can see her tomorrow young man. I'll stay here just until I see for myself that she's well. You go on home."

Yuki let out a sigh and stood up. He bowed to her grandfather, as did Reign and Hatori before leaving. Reign and Yuki waited for Hatori to bring the car around under the awning since it was still raining a bit. Yuki seemed on edge and Reign was bordering sleep. Reign let out a yawn and as she did so, Yuki asked her a question.

"I don't know if you'd let me but can I stay at yours or Hatori's tonight? I don't want to go back to that house right now." he asked solemnly, holding himself tightly.

Reign pulled him into side hug. "How about Hatori's since he has clothes we both can wear?"

Yuki nodded and leaned his head onto her shoulder. "This probably isn't the time to ask this but are you and Hatori dating?"

Reign let out a soft chuckle. "Really not the time but yes. You're one of few that know. Now I have a question."

"What?"

"Are you dating someone? I heard from a dear friend that there's a second year named Machi you're close to."

Yuki flinched at the name of Machi. Even in the dark, Reign could see a faint blush on his face. She found him cute and patted his back twice.

"Is that my answer? If so, I'll take it." she teased.

Yuki cleared his throat and hit her. "We're only close. If it progresses I'll be the first to tell you."

Hatori pulled the car up front and unlocked the doors to the car. He rolled down the passenger window and gestured for them to get in.

Reign let go of Yuki and the two walked to the car. Once they got in, Hatori rolled the window back up and began to drive.

"Yuki will be staying with us tonight and we'll be going to your house." Reign informed him as she put on her seatbelt.

"Is there anything you need to pick up Yuki?" he asked, looking up at the rear view mirror and looking at Yuki.

Yuki shook his head. "I'll just leave somewhat early tomorrow. I just can't go there right now. Sorry for the intrusion."

"It's fine." Hatori assured. "You two just rest and I'll wake you once we get home."

*

Reign woke up first the next day and saw that Hatori was still sleeping. It was pretty early for how late they got in the previous night so she understood. Reign rubbed his temple softly with her thumb before getting up and going to the kitchen. She grabbed herself a water bottle and took a sip of the water while seeing what she could prepare for breakfast. Since she was sure no one wanted anything too heavy, she decided on a simple miso soup with rice.

She prepared the broth for the soup first and let that get flavorful before washing the rice and putting it in the rice cooker. She took her water and went outside. The weather outside was warm and inviting. Reign watched the wind blow the trees around as she drank her water played what happened yesterday through her mind. She strangely felt at ease but she couldn't help but feel slightly anxious since she hadn't seen Kureno or Tohru.

The only thing going through her mind was she hoped both of them were awake and well despite the pain they'd be feeling. They would need to bring them gifts instead of coming empty handed. She couldn't think of what to bring them but she was sure Hatori would figure it out. Reign did one last wrap around of the scenery before her and walked back inside to the smell of the broth of miso soup.

Reign took the tofu out and cut it into bite-sized cubes before slicing the green onions thinly and adding them in. As she was adding them, Yuki walked into the kitchen with a yawn and walked over to her.

"What are you cooking this early?"

"Miso soup and rice." she answered, putting the lid on the pot. "I didn't want to make too much in case no one had the stomach for it."

"How considerate." he said, walking away.

Reign let out a laugh of disbelief. "Is that sarcasm I hear? Shall I let you starve?"

"I was being sincere."

"If you're being sincere then set the table. I'll go wake up Hatori and then we can eat before you leave. Deal?"

Yuki came back and nodded. "Deal."

Reign showed him where the spoons, chopstick holder, and the chopsticks were. Yuki took them to the table in the living room and Reign brought down the bowls for rice and soup before going to wake up Hatori. He wasn't in the bed and she didn't hear the shower so she just assumed had just gotten out of the shower. Reign knocked on the bathroom door and he told her to come in. Reign did so and when she did, he was just brushing his teeth with wet hair.

Reign picked up his clothes and put them in the dirty clothes hamper. "I made breakfast. We're going to eat with Yuki before he leaves and we go to the hospital."

"Isn't Yuki going as well?"

"I think he intends to go later today."

Hatori rinsed his mouth out and wiped his hands and mouth with a towel. "Then let's not keep him waiting. It'd be rude."

Reign took a glance over Hatori and raised a brow. "I think he'll be surprised to see you like this. No one has except us older zodiacs."

"There's a first for everything. Let's go."

The two walked in the kitchen together and saw Yuki filling the bowls with rice. Reign made a joke and it made Yuki turn red with embarrassment and he nearly dropped the bowl. Hatori grabbed cups from the cupboard and carried them, alongside a pitcher of water, to the table. Reign grabbed the ladle and a bowl and began to scoop the soup into the bowls. When she finished one, she past it to Yuki, gave the other to Hatori, and served herself. Everyone arrived at the table at a different time but didn't eat until they thanked Reign for the food.

Everyone tried the broth first before taking a bite of rice. Reign had excused herself and brought dried seaweed so she could eat it with the rice instead of it just by itself. She set the pack in the middle of the table, just in case anyone else wanted to do the same.

"Should I drop you off at Shigure's on the way to the hospital?" Hatori asked Yuki as he sat down his chopsticks and picked up the spoon.

Yuki nodded. "If it wouldn't be too much of a hassle."

"So basically leave him here and he walks to Shigure's." Reign joked.

Yuki glared at her and Reign smiled in response.

"You're always so easy to rile up. It's fun." she chuckled.

"Is she always like this?" he asked Hatori earnestly.

Hatori took a sip of his water and nodded. "You'll get used to it. You just have to be around her for a few months. Maybe not even that honestly."

Reign elbowed Hatori and he smiled. "Don't tease me with him like you did with my parents."

"Did you not do the same when we had dinner with our families together?" he retorted.

"I didn't start it!"

"Neither did I. Your point being?"

Yuki let out a soft chuckle and that got both of their attention. Reign raised a brow at him while Hatori didn't seem to mind.

"What exactly is so funny?" she asked.

He cleared his throat and wiped his eyes but continued to laugh nonetheless. "You sound like a child arguing with their much older sibling."

"You both are so annoying." she muttered as she got up.

Hatori grabbed her hand and stopped her from walking. "Where are you going?"

"I'm going home. I'll text you when I'm ready to leave."

He let go of her hand and and was going to walk her out but she stopped him.

"I can walk myself out. You two just clean up. Yuki, if you see Kyo don't fight him. Give him some space for now then talk with him."

"I intended on not speaking to him for a while anyway!" he called.

"Good!" she called back.

*

"You're moving around already?" Reign asked as she walked into Kureno's room.

He turned around in surprise before showing a sad smile. "Not too much movement. I just wanted to stretch my legs."

Reign sat a bag on the table in his room and looked back at Kureno. "We brought some fruit. Good fruit can brighten anyone's mood."

"Thank you. But who's we?" he asked taking a seat on the bed.

"Hatori and I. He went to check on Tohru."

He displayed a confused expression. "She's here? Why?"

Reign sighed and sat in the chair that was at the table. "After Akito stabbed you, she ran to Shigure's house. She saw Tohru there and somehow they ended up going to the cliffs. The ground was too far wet and Tohru was standing there and she fell. She hit her head really bad and had to come here not too long after you."

"Is she alright?"

Reign nodded. "She's fine. I want to see how you were doing first though. Enlighten me; what happened yesterday that led to this?"

He rubbed his head and let out a long sigh. "I said something I shouldn't have."

"If you say that then I know you said something you should have."

"Of course you'd say that. You've been speaking out against Akito's behavior for a while."

"Because I know it's wrong but have always been too much of a coward to say anything. Not anymore though. I refuse to sit around and let Akito treat me in any way she wants. It's past time everyone else also realized that."

He let out a hushed chuckle. "Not everyone can be like you but it's refreshing to say the least."

"Enough of me ranting, how do you feel?"

"Does being in pain suffice?"

Reign clicked her tongue and stood up, walking towards the door. Kureno laughed genuinely but stopped once he felt pain in his stomach.

"This is why you don't make jokes after you just had surgery." she grilled.

"I'm sorry. Thank you though. You and Hatori for helping me."

Reign turned around and smiled. "Not a problem. We are the family doctors."

Reign left his room and walked down the hall to Tohru's room. She knocked on the door and Hatori opened it. Tohru was in the bed and greeted her with a slight bow of her head. Reign walked in and stood by the bed.

"How do you feel? Any pain that's not tolerable in your head? Any-"

"Are you here as Dr. Soma or Reign?" Hatori asked, interrupting Reign's stream of questions.

Reign turned her head and glared at him. "I just wanted to-"

Hatori cut her off again with a wave of his hand and it made Tohru laugh. Reign sighed and turned back to Tohru.

"Let's try this again." she muttered to herself. "Is everything ok?"

Tohru grabbed her hand and squeezed it. "Better than I felt yesterday. Thank you for checking up on me."

Reign eyed her with worry. There's no way she felt good. Those cliffs are high. Reign knew Tohru was lying but she didn't want to dig into it and simply nodded her head.

"Did he bring you the fruit?" Reign asked. "We brought it as a gift."

"He did. I heard it's shine muscat, cherries, strawberries, and tangerines. Thank you."

"Don't mention it. Just recover quickly. I'm sure many are worried."

Tohru smiled and let go of her hand. "I'll try to recover quickly."

Reign sighed and moved her bangs out of her eyes. "Rest is important to a fast recovery so we'll leave you alone. How about a visit near your release?"

"I'd like that. Thank you both again."

Reign grabbed Hatori's arm and smiled at Tohru before leaving. The two walked out of the hospital and to the car. Reign felt better now that she had talked to both Kureno and Tohru and seeing them for herself. Hatori must've noticed how relaxed she looked because he suddenly let out a soft chuckle. It dragged Reign away from her thoughts and made her look at him.

"What?" she asked innocently.

Hatori stopped walking and brought her in front of him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her suddenly.

"You've finally relaxed since yesterday. I'm glad."

Reign sighed and wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly. "I do feel much better. Don't you?"

"Of course. If you don't feel relaxed then I don't either. I feed off of you."

"Well sorry if I also made you tense."

"I don't want an apology." he rejected.

Reign pulled back from the hug and eyed him. "What do you want?"

"A night of drinking. That work with you?"

She scoffed and hit him before getting out of his grip and walking away. "Annoying."

He raised a brow. "Is that a no?"

"No, it isn't. 내가 너와 함께 떠나기 전에 어서 와!" (Come on before I leave without you!)

He smiled and followed her. "Is tonight fine?"

"Whatever you want." she sighed.
