Wyatt climbed the balcony connected Y/n & Enid's room to his. Through the window he could see Enid crying with Y/n hugging and rubbing her back soothingly.
He opened the window and climbed in, Enid shot up and looked at him.
"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? I'm literally having a heart attack right now! YOKO IS IN THE INFIRMARY!" Enid yells stresses (she sounds like Molly Weasley).
"What happened?" Wyatt asks.
"Garlic bread incident at dinner. She had a major allergic reaction." You explain.
"Which means she is out of the competition, and I don't have a copilot!" Enid stresses.
"It wasn't an accident, Bianca is behind it." Wyatt comments.
Enid and Y/n look at him in shock and confusion.
"How did you know?"
"Doesn't matter. The three of us are going to take her down tomorrow." Wyatt says determined to defeat the self-appointed queen bee.
"Wait you're going to join the Black Cats? You would be willing to do that? For us?" Enid asks hopefully, sniffling. (Oh sweet, innocent Enid, you have no idea what he is going to do next..).
"I want to humiliate Bianca so badly that the bitter taste of defeat burns in her throat." He answers angrily.
"Yeah, but you are mostly doing this because we are friends...right?" Enid asks with hope in her voice.
Wyatt didn't answer, but we're going to assume that means yes. "Tell me how she keeps winning" He demands.
"It's really confusing actually, but no boat has made it across without sinking." You explain "I think she sabotages it before the competition, or she has a friend of hers helping with sabotaging while they are travelling." You guess.
Wyatt nods in agreement "sounds like it."
"Since there are no rules in the Poe Cup, and she is a siren, it makes her the master of water." Enid told him.
"We will have to beat her at her own game." Wyatt answers.
"Thank you, Wyatt"
He nods at Y/n with a stoic expression and he walks out of their room.

As Wyatt sat in his room, his mind drifted to what Bianca said.
He wouldn't let anyone take Y/n from him. She is his and he is hers. They both belong together, they both know it. He will protect and keep her safe from any harm that comes. Because he lo-.
Wyatt shook his head in disbelief, how did he already fall for her? He couldn't have! He is Wyatt Addams, he promised himself and his family he won't fall for anyone, but it seems he was wrong. The shy, sweet, innocent and incredibly gorgeous Y/n L/n has captured his heart...and he could only wish she would feel the same. But little did he know, she also fell for him, hard.
(All of you who are saying, nooo I'm not gorgeous or beautiful or pretty. SHUT UP! I am telling you that you are beautiful just the way you are! No one is ugly, god has made everybody beautiful, you just have to see it for yourself, it doesn't matter if you are plus sized, or incredibly thin. You are beautiful just the way you are, and everybody loves you for you. You do not need to change yourself for ANYONE. Never forget that!)

The next morning, Wyatt walked outside, passing Bianca Barclay. Bianca's eyes followed him for a few seconds with a smirk. Unknown to her, Wyatt was already working with Thing to take down Bianca Barclay.
Wyatt approached Enid and Y/n in front of the school.
"We're all set."
"Good, Thing is in position." Wyatt informs.
"Can't you tell us what you're up to?" Y/n asks.
Wyatt looked into her beautiful e/c eyes. "And spoil the surprise? Where is the fun in that?"
Y/n blushed at the intensity of his gaze and smiled.
Enid smirked at their interaction. "Speak of surprises." Enid said breaking the two from their staring competition and Wyatt looked at her, "you're costume is in the tent" she informs cheerfully.
Wyatt looked at her confused "Costume?" he asks.

Wyatt emerged form the tent with an unhappy expression on his face, he wore a tight fitted black suit and...cat ears.
Enid looked very happy "OMG, you look purr-fect!" Enid says smiling widely "But where are your whiskers?" She asks.
"Ask again and you will be down to eight lives." He threatens.
Enid just smiled and walked off.
Suddenly Wyatt heard laughter coming from behind me, he saw Y/n staring at him trying to hold in her laughs but failing miserably.
Wyatt raised his eyebrow at her, but she couldn't hold it in anymore, she burst into laughter.
Wyatt couldn't help but smile slightly as he watched you laugh.
"I-I-I'm sorry, I never expected you to be dressed as cat!" You say in amusement trying to hold in your laughs again as to not make him feel bad.
You clear your throat and stood up with a serious expression "You look good though." You say nodding, trying to remain serious but the amusement was clear in her eyes.
"Not as good as you." He whispers in her wrapping his arms around her waist pulling her closer towards him, he heard a gasp from you, he leaned in lightly brushing his lips against yours, suddenly he pulled away and walked towards the boat leaving a very flustered Y/n behind.

The race was about to start and all four boats were docked with all the participants inside. Enid sat in front, Wyatt behind her and Y/n behind Wyatt.
Enid glanced at the boat next to them, it contained the team clowns she looked right at her crush, Ajax. Ajax looked over as she smiled and waved at him, Ajax smiled and looked away still smiling.
"Focus" Wyatt whispers to Enid.
Y/n looked over at Wyatt who was already looking at her, he sent her a reassuring look and she smiled at him gratefully.
"What do we have here?" Bianca asks interrupting their conversation.
Wyatt turns to look at her.
"The runt of the litter?" She sneers.
"For the record, I don't believe I am better than anyone else, I just believe I am better than you." He snarls back.
Bianca looked at him confused then she turned away and looked ahead.
Then Principal Weems began speaking.
"I want to welcome you all to the Edgar Allen Poe Cup. This is one of Nevermore's proudest annual traditions, dating back 125 years before. Each team must row across to Raven Island, pull a flag from Crackstone's (Crackpot) Crypt, and hustle back without sinking or being sunk.
Wyatt looked down and saw Thing hiding under one of the benches in the boat.
"First team to cross the finish the line with their flag wins the cup, and bragging rights for a year, as well as some special privileges. Let the Poe Cup begin!" She announces.
Weems held up a pistol and fired it which started the race. Immediately all the boats charged forward.
Xavier's boat passed the Black Cats, Bianca's boat was close by. All the boats passed by a small dock where a boy was standing. Bianca nodded at him.
Once she did the boy removed his shirt and jumped into the water. His legs melted into each other forming a tail, he swam around the vegetation and plants in the lake.
One boat with axes came up to the Black Cats, one member pulled a lever which caused axes to protrude, everyone ducked as the axes swung at them nearly beheading them (We're Divorced, Beheaded, LIVE!).
The siren in the water came up underneath the boat with the axes and began to push them away. The people in the canoe began to panic and tried to row away but it was useless. The canoe was pushed into a buoy and cracked open which caused the team to drown into the water. Bianca's team snickered as they rowed past.
Wyatt noticed something in the water and pulled out his telescope. It was a tail, Wyatt pulled his telescope down and turned to Thing.
"Thing."
Thing pulled one of the levers in the canoe and a compartment opened up in the bottom. A net shot towards the siren that was ready to attack their canoe. The siren got tangled in the net.
Xavier's team got to the island first and two boys ran out towards Crackpot's Crypt.
The Black Cats got there a few seconds later. Wyatt got out of the canoe. He held his hand out to Y/n, who took his hand and he pulled her up.
"Stay here and make sure Bianca doesn't sabotage us." He tells Enid and ran off.
Enid looked down and saw Thing crawling at her feet.
"Thing, I need you to distract a couple of Jokers." She told him.
Thing climbed out of the canoe and picked up a rock, he flung it at one of the rowers. Both the boys turned and saw Thing who flipped them off.
"What?" One of them questions.
"Let's go get it."
The two teammates ran after Thing and Enid snuck towards their canoe and extended her claws scratching the canoe.

Xavier and Ajax made it to the crypt and grabbed their flag. As they ran back they spotted Y/n and Wyatt running towards the crypt.
"Later, Wyatt and Y/n!" Xavier calls as he ran back towards his canoe.
Wyatt and Y/n didn't acknowledge them and went towards the crypt and grabbed the flag. He put his hand on the crypt and when he did his head flew back, his eyes widened, his body stiffened and he fell. Y/n gasped and rushed towards him, catching him before he could fall, she laid his head down her lap and shook his body in an attempt to wake him up but it wouldn't work.

Wyatt woke up in front of Crackstone's Crypt but it seemed darker and spookier than normal. There were no Poe Cup flags and he was alone.
Suddenly Wyatt turns and meets a girl that looked just like him except she had blonde hair and wore white clothes, held a book in her arms, and she was...obviously a girl.
"You are the key." The girl said.

Wyatt's eyes shot open and Bianca and Y/n stood above him, Bianca had a smug look, Y/n looked concerned.
"Taking a catnap?" She taunts, she took her flag and ran away.
Wyatt looked at the crypt with suspicion, there was no time to dwell on that, he has a race to win.
He grabbed the flag and rushed back to the canoe with Y/n.
Luckily Enid's clever distraction cause the Clown's to sink.
"I just asked my self WWWD (what would Wyatt do?)" Enid says proudly.

Weems watched the race with binoculars and saw the final two boats, Bianca's and Wyatt's.
"The final two teams remaining are the Gold Bugs and the Black Cats." She announces and the crowd cheered.

The black cats approached Bianca's boat and Wyatt reached down and flipped the other lever in their canoe which extended three spears on either side of the boat.
(Have any of you watched 'True Spirit'? It shows the journey of Jessica Watson, the youngest girl to ever circumnavigate the globe. She sailed around the world in a tiny boat named 'Ella's pink lady.' Her story is very inspirational and amazing, I absolutely loved it! And I am sure you will too :))
The team paddles closer towards Bianca's boat in attempt to sink it, but suddenly their boat was pushed away.
The siren had unfortunately escaped and pushed them towards a buoy, the buoy that had sunk another team. The attempted to push against the siren. But it was no use.
Thing, not wanting to loose jumped out of the canoe and into the water. He swam towards the siren and punched him in the face, which made him unconscious.
The Black Cats moved towards Bianca's boat again. They came up next to the Gold Bugs and stabbed a hole in Bianca's canoe.
The canoe immediately began to fill up with water, the Black Cats couldn't help but laugh as they paddled past Bianca, who was very frustrated and irritated.
The team pulled back up against the docks, they pulled out their flag and crossed the finish line.
The whole school erupted in cheers, Enid bounced in the canoe excitedly "OMG, Wyatt, we did it!! This is the greatest moment in my life. Admit it, you kinda got the whole school spirit thing."
Wyatt looked back at the docks to see Bianca and her team struggling to climb back onto the docks.
"You didn't tell me it was a dark, vengeful spirit." He says a smirk on his face.
Suddenly he felt a pair of arms wrap around his neck pulling him into a hug. He gasped in surprise and looked down to see who hugged him, he relaxed when he saw Y/n, he awkwardly hugged patted her back.
She pulled away and gave him a bright smile "I'm sorry, I know you don't like hugs, but I couldn't help myself."
"For you, it's an exception." He says under his breath.
She looked at him slightly surprised she heard what he said. But their staring competition was interrupted when Y/n was pulled into a hug by Enid.

Wyatt, Enid and Y/n stood next to Principal Weems in the quad as they were ready to receive their trophy for winning the Poe Cup, and bring pride to Ophelia Hall once again like his mother did.
Enid had a wide grin on her face, you were afraid her cheeks would fall off from how wide she was smiling, but you couldn't blame her as you were also smiling. Wyatt just stood there with his usual expression, but he was happy in the inside because he defeated Bianca.
"The first Poe Cup took place in 1897 as a way to not only honor Nevermore's famous alumni, but to celebrate those values that outcasts share. Community, perseverance, and determination. And we certainly saw those value on display today." Weems said.
Weems picked up the trophy and gave it to Enid, who took it and raised it in the air.
"Whoo!" She cheers and the crowd cheered with her. Wyatt feeling slightly uncomfortable walked away, Y/n saw this and followed him.

Wyatt walked up to the statue of Edgar Allen Poe and sat down on it and closed his eyes, taking in a few deep breaths. Crowds overwhelmed him a lot, he needed a small break. He looked up at the statue of Edgar and noticed the book he held, it was the book with the symbol of the Nightshades on it.
"Hey" a voice greets, his eyes snapped towards the voice, it was Y/n.
"Why aren't you celebrating?" He asks as he watched her sit down next to him.
"I don't like crowds, they give me anxiety." She says chuckling a bit.
"Same, people keep smiling at me, it's unsettling."
Y/n laughs "They are congratulating you. You beat Bianca Barclay twice! And Enid is asking if you want to hangout with the team afterwards"
Wyatt gave her a look and she winced "Yeah, I shouldn't have asked that question. I am not going either anyway."
"By the way, what you and Thing did back there was really impressive. Seeing Bianca just made it worth it."
Wyatt's mouth twitched up a bit, and his eyes followed her as her body straightened as she looked straight ahead, his eyes moved to where she was looking. Principal Weems was walking towards them.
"It's good to see you fitting in. Just like your mother." Weems said.
"My mother and I are two different people, species and everything."
"The last time Ophelia Hall won the Poe Cup, your mother captained the team. I was her co-pilot. Maybe you two are more alike than you think."
Wyatt turns his head from Weems to look at Y/n, she was smiling while looking outside, tuning herself completely from the world. She looks beautiful while smiling.
