chilled night
a breeze tickles the leaves
my chest is not so tight
i pull down my sleeves

a shiver shakes me
but i really don't mind
scolded but i disagree
they are blind

the darkness is friend, not foe
i breathe a sigh
i whisper the moon a hello
a tear caresses my eye

it's a solace
the way it covers me in an embrace
as if making a promise
swearing to never leave me in this place
