Kalla's P.O.V
•~•~•~•~•

If anybody has ever said being out in the middle of the ocean, fishing with your siblings was a fun family activity, they were wrong. So very wrong.

Currently, I was sitting in a boat in the middle of the ocean, surrounded by ice and water with my two younger siblings, Sokka and Katara. You would think that would be somewhat relaxing, but not in my family. Arguing is very common between the three of us, and this fishing trip was no exception. Around 10 minutes ago, we all fought about who was the better fisher.

Yeah, we were pretty ridiculous, to say the least.

"It's not getting away from me this time," Sokka said, his whale tooth saber held up high in the air while he looked around in the water, a grin on his face. "Watch and learn, guys. This is how you catch a fish."

Katara and I glanced over at him, uninterested. We turned to each other and both of us shared a deadpanned look, silently agreeing on how annoying he was being right now before going back to what we were doing before.

I focused on the water in front of me, closing my eyes in concentration. I lifted my hand up and opened my eyes to find a small stream of water, to my delightful surprise. I moved it around and made it swirl around me before I lost my connection with it and it plopped back into the water with a small splash.

I huffed in annoyance and sat back down on the boat, resting my hand on my cheek and watched as Sokka attempted to catch a fish with a bored look on my face.

Suddenly, Katara excitedly exclaimed, "Kalla, Sokka, look!

I turned my head to see a fish trapped in a bubble of water, courtesy of Katara, who was moving it around. I felt a wide smile pull at the corners of my lips as I walked over to where she stood at the edge of the boat.

"Great job, Katara! You caught a fish, and with waterbending too!" I beamed.

She turned to me with a smile on her face before she refocused on the fish.

"Shhh, Katara, Kalla— you guys are gonna scare it away," Sokka whispered to us, still focused on catching the fish hes been trying to catch for about 5 minutes now. "Mmm, I can already smell it cooking."

I rolled my eyes at my younger brother. He never pays attention.

"But, Sokka, I caught one!" Katara told him, continuing to move the fish in the bubble around until it was over Sokka's head and I could already see where this was gonna go wrong.

"Uh, Katara, maybe you should—" I started, but it was already too late as Sokka lifted his saber in the air, ready to catch the fish.

He ended up popping the bubble over his head.

I facepalmed as the water went falling down onto Sokka, who let out a scream at the contact of what I assumed was very cold water, considering the environment we were in. The fish went jumping back into the water as Katara yelled out, "Hey!"

Sokka turned back to us, a glare on his face before he said, frustrated, "Why is it that every time you play with magic water, I get soaked?"

I walked over to him and flicked him on the forehead, making him yelp in pain. "It's not magic, genius." I said dryly, not missing the glare he sent me in response of the forehead flick.

"Yeah, Sokka, it's waterbending! And it's—" Katara started, before getting cut off by a very annoyed Sokka.

"Yeah,, yeah, an ancient art, unique to our culture— blah, blah, blah." He said mockingly before he started up again. "Look, I'm just saying that if I had weird powers, I'd keep my weirdness to myself."

"And that's probably why you didn't inherit the gift of waterbending." I glared at him, making him scoff at me in return.

"You're calling us weird, Sokka? We're not the ones who make muscles at ourselves every time we see our reflection." Katara said smugly, making me chuckle as we both watched Sokka do exactly what she just described.

He straightened and turned to us, a retort on his tongue. Before he could say anything, though, we all yelled out as the boat got stuck in some currents that lead through a bunch of ice sheets. Sokka quickly grabbed the ore and tried to paddle out of the currents, but he failed miserably as we continued to just barely miss getting crushed by stray ice.

"Go left, Go left!" Katara told Sokka as both her and I gripped the edges of the boat, watching him struggle not to crash. After no change of direction, I scowled at the younger boy.

"GO LEFT!" I yelled at him, but for some reason, his idiotic self just decided not to listen. We continue to float through the current, getting caught up in the ice sheets.

After a great struggle, our boat ended up being crushed in between two slabs of ice. We all managed to jump out onto a nearby chunk of ice before any of us got crushed along with our boat, luckily.

I laid on the block of ice for a second before sitting up and looking to my siblings. Sokka was also sitting up, looking around at our surroundings and Katara was still lying on the ice.

"Are you two okay?" I asked, because even though sometimes these two drove me crazy, they were still my little brother and sister.

"Yep." Sokka replied.

"All good." Katara said, pushing herself up and scooting over to where me and Sokka sat, turning over to glare at the latter. "You call that left?"

"You don't like my steering? Well, maybe one of you should of waterbended us out of the ice." He retorted, moving his arms around in mockery.

I scoffed at the boy. "Okay, so what? It's our fault? News flash, buddy, we don't have teachers because we're the last two waterbenders left in the tribe!"

"I missed the part where that's my problem." He said as I gaped at how much of a douche bag he could be.

"You are insufferable!" I yelled at him as he rolled his eyes at me.

"I knew I should of left you two at home." He sighed as Katara and I got up. "Leave it to girls to screw things up."

I felt my eyes narrow at the boys very sexist words. "What did you just say?" I seethed under my breath, knowing if I spoke any louder, I'd probably end up accidentally telling the Fire Nation where we were just with the volume of my voice.

"I said, leave it to girls to screw things up!" He said louder this time, and just as I was about to do something I would probably regret later, Katara beat me to it.

"You are the most sexist, immature, nutbrained—" Katara paused as she ran her hands over her face and into her hair, obviously furious. "And I'm embarrassed to be related to you!"

Well, at least she said what everyone else was thinking. And by everyone else, I mean me.

Suddenly, a cracking noise was heard from behind us. I turned to look at it and saw a small crack in the iceberg right behind us. My eyes widened in alarm as I looked back to Katara, about to say something but she continued on with her fit of rage.

"Ever since mom died, Kalla and I have been doing all the work around camp while you've been off playing soldier!" She scolded and by the look on Sokka's face, he was definitely scared, but not of Katara.

"Uh, Katara—" He breathed out as he scooted back and pointed to the iceberg behind us, looking at it worriedly.

"I even wash all the clothes! Have you ever smelled your dirty socks? Let me tell you!" She continued on with her rage, throwing her hands up in the air. "Not pleasant!" She screamed in Sokka's face, throwing her hands back down, making the water around her match her anger.

I worriedly looked back and forth between Katara and the iceberg that's cracked even more behind us. "Katara, please! Calm down!" I tried to calm the girl, but she just turned to face me with a frown on her face.

"No! He needs to learn!" She said before focusing her gaze back on Sokka, who was cowering on the ground. "That's it, I'm done helping you! From now on, you're on your own!" She threw her hands up in the air one last time before swinging them back down behind her.

Another loud crack is heard from behind us, this one finally getting Katara's attention as we all looked at the iceberg break in half. Both pieces fell back in the water, making us all scream as the chunk of ice we were on got sent flying back through the water by a large wave, all three of us gripping the edge of the ice and each other in desperation to stay on.

Once the wave was over, the chunk of ice finally stopped as I breathed out a sigh of relief.

"Okay, you've gone from weird to freakish, Katara." Sokka grumbled. I smacked him on the arm and he yelled out, pouting, "Hey! Why do you keep on hurting me today?"

I glared at him. "Because you deserve it."

He glared back at me before Katara spoke up, catching our attention. "You mean, I did that?" She asked in complete and utter disbelief.

"Yep, congratulations." Sokka said sarcastically.

I ignored him and looked over at the younger girl with a smirk. "Yeah, Katara! Not gonna lie, that was pretty cool. Except for the part where we almost died, that was not cool."

She looked over at me with a smile on her face that I returned before a bright light in the water caught our attention. I gasped as I looked down to see a bright blue glow growing in size in the water. We all stood up and stepped back as we watched, dumbfounded, as a glowing iceberg surfaced on the water, floating on the top of it.

We looked closely to find a boy in the iceberg. He seemed to be sitting with his legs crossed and his fists together, as if he was giving himself a fist bump. He looked rather young, around Katara's age. He was bald with arrow tattoos on his head and on both of his hands. What in the world? Why is there a boy in an iceberg?

I furrowed my eyebrows as I looked at the boy expectantly. Suddenly, the boys eyes shot open. They glowed white, along with his tattoos. My eyes widened in shock as I stepped back, sort of freaked out by this whole ordeal and the fact that a boy stuck in an iceberg opened his eyes while still in it.

And Sokka says Katara and I are weird...

Said girl suddenly spoke up, a sense of urgency in her voice. "He's alive! We have to help!" She grabbed Sokka's club off his back and started running towards the iceberg.

"Katara, get back here! We don't know what that thing is!" Sokka called as he pulled his saber from the ice and went chasing after her, me right behind him.

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but Sokka's right, Katara! There's probably a reason why that kid is in the iceberg in the first place!" I worried as we finally made it to the said iceberg and Katara looked back at Sokka and I.

"Well, we can't just do nothing!" She told us as she turned around and started smashing the club into the ice, grunting.

One last smack sent her stumbling back and Sokka and I caught her as we all watched the iceberg break. A beam of light shot out into the sky above us as I stared in bewilderment at the sight before us.

We all watched as the boy who had been stuck in the iceberg stood up on the ice and stepped towards us, eyes and tattoos still glowing white. Sokka held an arm out in front of Katara and I protectively, the other arm pointing his saber towards the boy. "Stop!"

As the boy reached his full height, the glowing finally faded. He fell off the ice in what seemed to be exhaustion, drawing a gasp from me. Katara quickly sped forward and caught the boy before he could hit the ground. She kneeled beside him and held onto him, a concerned look on her face as she looked over him.

Sokka stepped forward and used the opposite end of his saber to poke the boy in the head a few times before I groaned and grabbed his shoulder, "Would you stop that!?" I exclaimed before pulling him back with a little more force than intended, which made him stumble back a bit.

Once he finally regained balance on his feet, he shot a pointed look towards me as I rolled my eyes and focused back on Katara, who held the boy protectively as she glared at Sokka before she sent a grateful smile towards me. She looked down at the boy in her arms, who was slowly beginning to open his eyes. He let out a small gasp when he looked up and saw Katara, who looked worried for the boy.

"I need to ask you something..." The boy spoke tiredly.

"What?" Katara asked him gently, a hint of curiosity in her voice.

"Please, come closer." The boy rasped out and I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the interaction. Is he trying to make a move on her or something?

"What is it?" Katara urged, a softness in her eyes as she leaned in closer towards the kid.

There was a slight intensity to the interaction for a moment and even I was invested in what would happen next, but then the boy suddenly smiled widely at her. "Will you go penguin-sledding with me?" He asked excitedly. That's seriously what all this was for?—

"Uh, sure." Katara answered, not sounding completely opposed to the idea but not sounding the most insistent either as she finally leaned away from him, "I guess..."

The boy stood up and Sokka yelped, pointing his saber towards the kid as the boy looked around, "What's going on here?"

"You tell us! How did you get in the ice?" Sokka started, sounding riled up before continuing. "And why aren't you frozen?" He asked, confused, poking the boy again.

I sighed, stepping forward and placing a hand on my brothers shoulder in an attempt to calm him. "Don't mind him, he's had a long day." I tell the boy, before furrowing my eyebrows, "but yeah, why aren't you frozen?."

"I'm not sure." He told me, still looking around before a low growl was heard. The boy's eyes widened as he began to climb the iceberg. I tilted my head to the side, a very confused look on my face as we watched him.

My siblings and I all looked at each other with the same look on our faces before I went to walk around the split iceberg, hearing their steps follow behind me. As we turned the corner, I gasped as we saw the boy with a giant animal who had white fur, horns, and the same arrow as the kid had on his head in the same area.

The animal suddenly opened his mouth and lifted the boy up with his tongue. The boy laughed in content as the animal put him back down. "You're okay!" He exclaimed before going to hug the animal on the nose.

I would be scared right now, but I can't help but stare at the huge animal in amazement. I swear I've read of one of these before, but I can't remember what they're called. We all walked towards the boy and the animal, Sokka stepping in front.

"What is that thing?" He asked begrudgingly.

"This is Appa, my flying bison!" The boy introduced excitedly.

"Right, and this is Katara, my flying sister." Sokka deadpanned sarcastically while my eyes widened at the information.

"A flying bison, of course! I've read about them before!" I said as I looked at the animal in fascination.

"Alright, we get it, you're a nerd." Sokka rolled his eyes, making me gasp in offense. As I was about to retort, though, a loud sneeze came from the flying bison. Green snot went flying in the air and covered Sokka in a gooey mess.

Sokka groaned in disgust before freaking out and flailing around all over the place. I tried to contain a giggle, but failed as I let out a laugh of amusement. Katara also looked amused, a small smile on her face as we watched Sokka rub his face on the ice in an attempt to get the snot off.

"Don't worry, it'll wash out." The boy assured as Sokka touched the snot on his face. The green goop stuck to his hand as he pulled away and I couldn't help but grimace as Sokka groaned in disgust. Yikes. That's gross, but well-deserved.

"So, do you guys live around here?" The kid asked us. I opened my mouth to answer him, but Sokka quickly pointed his saber at the boy again, cutting me off.

"Don't answer that! Did you see that crazy bolt of light? He was probably trying to signal the Fire Nation!" He told me and Katara with a sense of urgency.

"Right—" I dragged the word mockingly before I stepped in front of Sokka and towards the boy, my arms crossed as I sent a pointed look to my brother, "He's must be a spy for the Fire Navy. I mean, what other explanation possibly is there?" I asked, sarcasm clear in my tone.

Katara stepped up beside me with her hands on her hips, going along with what I was doing. "Yeah, you can tell by that evil look in his eyes."

We all glanced over at the boy who was looking at us with the brightest look in his eyes and a big, toothy grin.

I chuckled a bit, focusing my attention on the young boy. "Sorry about him," I started, gesturing to Sokka. "This is my idiot brother, Sokka, and my sensible sister, Katara." I introduced.

Sokka let out a loud "Hey!" at what I said, but I ignored him, continuing on. "What's your name?" I asked the boy gently.

"I'm—!" He starts, but stopped as he sneezed. A big gust of wind formed around him as he went flying in the air and I gaped at the boy from the ground as he came flying back down, landing in front of us. "I'm Aang!" He told us simply, as if he didn't just go flying in the air when he sneezed.

"You just sneezed, and flew ten feet in the air!" Sokka exclaimed in shock, having said what we all wanted to say.

"Really? It felt higher than that." He said in genuine wonder.

Katara suddenly gasped, making me turn to her with a raised eyebrow. "You're an airbender!" She said in sudden realization, making my eyes widen as I finally realized it myself. But I thought airbenders were-

Aang's voice interrupted my thoughts. "Sure am!"

"Giant light beams, flying bison, airbenders— I think I got midnight sun madness." Sokka said exasperated, obviously overwhelmed as he began to walk away, "I'm going home to where stuff makes sense."

"Good luck with that, lil' bro." I teased with a smirk as he reached the end of the ice chunk we were on and seemed to realize there really was no way home from where we were.

Aang seemed to realize the situation we were in. "Well, if you guys are stuck, Appa and I can give you a lift!" He offered as he used air to propel himself off the ground and onto his flying bison.

"Wait, really?" I asked excitedly, a smile on my face at the thought of getting to ride a flying bison. This has got to be both the weirdest and best day of my life!

"Of course!" Aang smiled at us, making me perk up with excitement.

"We'd love a ride, thanks!" Katara said gratefully as we both began to run over to the boy and his bison. Aang helped us onto Appa, but Sokka began to protest.

"Oh, no! I am not getting on that fluffy, snot monster." Sokka said with a scowl on his face.

"Alright, Sokka, if you wanna try and survive on a block of ice for the rest of your life, that's on you. But Katara and I are gonna go home on this so-called 'monster' and sleep warm and cozy in our beds tonight while you're gonna be out here, freezing your ass off." I told my younger brother with a smirk on my face, already sat on top of Appa.

Sokka opened his mouth to protest, but quickly realized I was right and shut his mouth closed with a deep frown on his face. He sighed in defeat and walked over, letting Aang help him onto Appa.

All three of us sat on Appa, the only difference being our facial expressions. While Katara and I looked excited, Sokka looked like he was ready for death to take him.

"Okay, first-time flyers, hold on tight!" Aang told us with a smile on his face. This boy is always smiling, it's actually pretty endearing considering the state of the world right now. "Appa, yip yip!"

Appa leaped into the air, but instead of flying, he flopped into the water with a big splash and I quickly felt myself droop in disappointment. Damn it, I was looking forward to flying.

"Come on, Appa, yip yip!" Aang tried to tell Appa, but we were still only floating in the water. Katara stood up and walked to the front of the saddle, closer to Aang, while Sokka and I still sat in the seats.

"Wow, that was truly amazing." Sokka deadpanned and I elbowed him in the gut, causing him to splutter and glare at me as I shook my head at him with a disapproving look on my face.

"Appa's just tired, a little rest and he'll be soaring through the sky! You'll see." Aang told Sokka. I smiled at the boys enthusiasm.

Aang was also smiling, but it was specifically directed at one person. Katara watched him as he smiled at her. I leaned back on my seat in the saddle with a smirk on my face, knowing I was gonna tease her about this later. Young love is so beautiful.

"Why are you smiling at me like that?" Katara asked Aang with a raised eyebrow.

"O-oh, I was smiling?" He stuttered nervously, shifting his gaze to the side. Katara responded with a small, sweet smile and I felt the grin on my face get even wider. Looks like love is in the air.

Sokka groaned out in disgust, seemingly thinking the same thing as me but going for a different approach. He is no fun. I side-eyed my younger brother before rolling my eyes at him and looking over to Katara who was looking back at us, sending her a small smirk with a wink before doing kissy faces. She seemed to get what I was doing and why I was doing it. A small blush rose to her cheeks as she quickly turned away, flustered, as I chuckled to myself.

Well this is gonna be fun.

As I stared out into the horizon of the South, all I could think about was what I had seen. That beam of light...it had to be the Avatar. That means I can finally restore my honor and go back home...well, I would have to catch the Avatar first, but I'll manage. My uncles voice ripped me out of my thoughts.

"I'm going to bed now." He said with a yawn and I didn't bother to look back at him, my gaze glued in front of me. "Yep, a man needs his rest."

I continued to keep my focus on all the blue in the South. I've never hated blue as much as I do right now.

"Prince Zuko, you need some sleep. Even if you're right and the Avatar is alive, you won't find him." My uncle started and I felt myself begin to get aggravated by his words. "Your father, grandfather, and great-grandfather all tried and failed."

Yeah, they did try and failed, but I won't. My gaze hardened as I spoke, "Because their honor didn't hinge on the Avatar's capture. Mine does." I said, irritated, starting to get riled up. "This cowards hundred years in hiding are over!"

I heard my uncle sigh, footsteps followed by a door closing shut. I shut my eyes closed as I huffed. He doesn't understand. No one does. I will capture the Avatar, even if it's the last thing I ever do.

Black "snow".

Screaming.

Fighting.

I ran through the village hand in hand with my best friend, Kuraya, right beside me. One second, we were practicing our waterbending and the next we were running for our lives.

"Mom!" I yelled as I ripped the flaps of our tent open, letting go of my best friends hand. "Mom, I-"

Blood.

Crimson red covered my moms lifeless, burnt body. A man stood over her. As he heard my yell, he turned around to face Kuraya and I.

Fire.

Water.

Kuraya's scream.

My own scream followed right after.

My best friends burnt, lifeless body laid across the ground across from me.

Tears ran down my face as the man stalked towards me.

Fear.

Pain.

Anger.

...

"Kalla!"

I jolted awake to find myself covered in a cold sweat, tears running down my face. Katara, Sokka, Aang, and I had gotten back to the village a few hours ago. I decided to take a nap since I had gotten any sleep when we were on Appa. That served to be a bad idea.

I looked to my right to see Sokka beside me with a worried look on his face. "Nightmares again?"

I sighed in exhaustion, rubbing my hands over my face and wiping my tears. "Yeah, don't worry about it."

"You can't tell me not to worry, because I'm going to anyway." He told me, before sighing. "You've been getting these nightmares ever since...that day."

"I'm alright, Sokka, really." I said, trying to reassure him. I let a lighthearted smile curl onto my lips as I reached out to pinch his cheek teasingly. "Look at you, caring about your older sister."

He swatted my hand away before he narrowed his eyes at me playfully. I chuckled, "Still won't let me get away with that one, huh?"

"Never." He said with a smirk, before a serious look came onto his face again. "You sure you're okay?"

"Super sure, thanks for checking on me though." I said with a smile and Sokka nodded his head.

"I'll be waiting for you outside, everyone's waiting to meet Aang." He said and I saw the small flash of distrust that flashed on his face when he mentioned the young boys name before he left the tent, leaving me alone.

He still doesn't trust Aang, even after he helped us get home. I rolled my eyes before ripping my blanket off and tying my hair up into a ponytail, trying to push the bad memories the nightmare brought back down. I dusted off my clothes, but as I did so, I caught sight of the bracelet on my wrist.

I smiled at it bittersweetly. My mothers bracelet. Katara got mothers necklace, but I got my mothers bracelet, both of them being passed down from the last generation. It was a simple bracelet, but it meant the world to me. It held the Water Tribe symbol in the middle of it and it carried my mothers memory wherever I went.

After taking a moment, I stepped out of my tent and walked out to see Katara with Aang, standing in front of the village people.

"Aang, this is the entire village! Entire village, Aang!" Katara introduced them all happily with a smile on her face.

Aang bowed in respect and I noticed how the village people began to pull their children closer and huddling closer together, not seeming to really trust the young boy. Of course, they're all like Sokka. I frowned and shook my head slightly.

Aang seemed to notice how they reacted as he spoke, "Uh, why are they all looking at me like that? Did Appa sneeze on me?" He said as he checked himself to make sure he didn't have any of that green goop on him as I grimaced at the disgusting memory of it.

Our gran-gran stepped forward. "Well, no one has see an airbender in a hundred years. We thought they were extinct, until my granddaughters and grandson found you."

"Extinct?" Aang asked in disbelief, not seeming to believe it.

I walked over to them. "This is Sokka, Katara, and I's grandmother, Aang." I said as I stood beside Katara, who looked over to me in surprise. Okay, yeah, I appeared out of nowhere.

"Call me gran-gran." Our gran-gran told Aang dryly.

Sokka, who also appeared out of nowhere like me, grabbed Aang's...stick(?) out of his hand and inspected it. "What is this, a weapon? You can't stab anything with this!"

Aang chuckled. "It's not for stabbing, it's for airbending." He said as he used air to pry the stick out of Sokka's hand and back into his own.

Aang slightly shook the stick and two fans, one small and one big, extended out of it. The village kids seemed to like it as one of them perked up excitedly. "Magic trick! Do it again!"

"Not magic. Airbending. It lets me control the air currents around my glider and fly!" Aang told them as I looked over to Sokka.

"Huh, at least he understands that bending isn't magic." I shaded, crossing my arms and side-eyeing Sokka who just rolls his eyes in response.

"You know, last time I checked, humans can't fly!" Sokka exclaimed towards Aang, scornful.

"Check again!" Aang said, determination clear in his voice. I gasped as he sent himself soaring into the air above us with a singular gust of wind.

He flew around in the air as the village looked amazed and shouted praises at the boy. He seemed to get too caught up in the attention as he crashed head first into Sokka's watchtower. I winced as he successfully pulled himself out, but ended up falling into the snow below him.

"My watchtower!" Sokka yelled shakily, obviously only concerned for his watchtower and not the boy who could possibly be hurt.

I sent a glare towards him as Katara and I went running towards Aang. "Are you okay?" I asked him worriedly as we stopped in front of him. Katara held a hand out to help him up.

"Yep, all good!" He chirped, accepting the hand Katara offered and pulled himself up.

"That was amazing!" Katara praised the boy as all the young kids from the village came running over.

"Yeah! The way you soared around in the air was so cool!" I agreed, looking to Aang with a wide grin on my face.

Aang smiled in content as he twirled his stick and the fans in it disappeared. I heard a loud thump and looked over in the direction of it to see Sokka now covered in a pile of snow. I covered my mouth with my hand in an attempt to stifle a laugh.

"Great. You're an airbender, Kalla and Katara are waterbenders. Together, you three could just waste time all day long." Sokka said, annoyed. He dug himself out of the snow, stood up, and ran off to who knows where.

"You two are waterbenders!" He said in awe, but I noticed that the awe was more directed towards Katara, making me smirk knowingly.

"Well, sort of, not yet." Katara told him, sounding a bit disappointed.

"Yeah, that's sort of the downside of being the last two waterbenders left in the tribe. There's no one to help teach you." I added on with a shrug as Aang's eyes widened in shock, but before he could ask, gran-gran's voice sounded from behind us.

"All right, no more playing. Come on Kalla, Katara, you two have chores." She told us.

I sighed as I waved goodbye to Aang and Katara, walking over to start dealing with the dirty clothes of all of the village people. This is not how I wanted to spend the rest of my day. I grabbed a dirty sock and held it away from my face as I grimaced at the stench of it. I really hate washing duty, it's disgusting.

I dipped the sock in the water and scrubbed the rest of the hour away.

I watched a man through binoculars hop out of an abandoned Fire Navy ship with a girl in his arms, using airbending. Finally, I've found the Avatar. And somehow, even though he's over 100 years old, he surprisingly moves like he's 12. I continued to watch as he propelled himself into the air with gusts of wind to safely land on the ground, putting the girl he was carrying down.

"The last airbender. Quite agile for his old age." I mumbled to myself. "Wake my uncle! Tell him I found the Avatar." I ordered one of the crew members, turning to face them before turning back to where the Avatar was and looking back through my binoculars.

I watched as him and the girl ran in a specific direction. Knowing we were in the South where the Southern Water Tribe resides, I began moving my binoculars to look around in the direction they were heading in. I stopped when I saw a small village in the distance.

"As well as his hiding place." I smirked, looking up from the binoculars and narrowing my eyes at the Avatar.

I'll show you just how honorable I am, Father.
