Was the first thing he heard when he saw Chae and Dubu who immediately hugged him which made Y/N stumble a little bit since he was on the stairs
Y/N - There there my baby cub and Tofu
Jihyo - Who's there?!?!?
Jihyo shouted from the living room curious at the two's shouts
The two escorted Y/N down to the living room to a room full of gasps and shocked faces
"Y/N!"
Were heard from the girls who gave him a group, they were happy to see Y/N again as they hugged him
Y/N - Hey girls, I'm home!
He ruffled each of the girls' hair as he went through them one by one with also a kiss.
Mina and Somi went down the stairs as their attention was towards them
Chae - MINARI!
Chae said as she broke off from the group as she came to give her a welcoming hug back to which the penguin accepted, the girls would take notice as they would give Mina a group hug as well while Y/N stood there scratching his head wondering what to do next
The girls soon break off as they talked to Mina about what happened while Y/N sneakily went behind them as he went upstairs to grab the souvenirs he brought
Sana - OOOO!
Sana points at Y/N who was carrying souvenirs and snacks from Japan
The girls rush over to Y/N to take one of the souvenirs each and Momo took a handful of the snacks
Dubu - HEY SHARE MOMO!
Dubu shouted as Momo ran off to the couch carrying the snacks
After some time, the group would talk about what happened in Japan and he expressed his feelings of loss to which the girls comforted him, he told the girls about the souvenirs and how he got different individuals ones for each of the girls excluding Mina and they hugged him for his consideration for it, Y/N breaks off towards the kitchen to make lunch for the girls which soon afterwards Chae came along to hug him as usual with Momo and Jeong helping out as well
Y/N - So how were schedules coming along?
He talked as he cutted the vegetables on the cutting board as Chae just hung on him.
Momo - We just finished up practice for the tour, and I believe the tour will be in about 2 weeks time?
he nods and smiles as he washed the potatoes as Jeong peeled them beside her
Y/N - Oh really? Finally time for me to shine as the manager
Y/N laughs and Momo laughs too at the joke to which Jeong stayed silent focusing on not messing up the potatoes, Chae giggles softly on Y/N's chest, this made Y/N feel soft inside as he finally got back home to his family, Y/N smiled as he continue cutting the veggies
After finishing up cutting and with the potatoes already peeled, Y/N continued to cook as Momo and Jeong headed out finished with their job well done
Y/N thinks to himself about how he's gonna have to propose to these girls as a sort of reminder for them to keep once Twice is over. As well as that, Y/N going to have to find a way to keep them distracted for the time being to find rings perhaps?
The group end up eating their lunch and Y/N spends the day with the rest of the girls as they party away with the celebration of Y/N and Mina coming back
Now today is Thursday, the girls fortunately had a plan to distract Y/N while they were at practice asking their dance trainer to give them some time off, they did plan out the surprise birthday beforehand, with JYP's help himself and some help from others, they had the plan set.
Jihyo - Girls!
Jihyo shouts out to the panting girls on the ground of their practice studio
Jihyo walks over to the girls to where they talk
Jihyo - Alright listen okay, in about an hour's time, someone needs to pick up the cake and Chae I know you had the idea of getting the party supplies from nearby right?
Chae nods as Mina listens in, Mina was informed of it last night when Y/N was passed out drunk in bed and was took out by the girls while he slept where they explained the plan and she accepted
Jihyo - Dubu and Tzuyu, you two need to distract him at home with Somi, say something like "I don't know, your bedroom's bathroom is leaking?"
Dubu - Wait no, I'll tell him he needs to help with our garden?
Jihyo - Sure but I'm pretty sure our garden needs some cleaning up anyways, so it's best if you get him to go with you three to a gardening place to get some of new supplies
The two girls nod as they understood the process
Jihyo - And the rest of you, Sana and Momo, you two help out Chae since yknow
Jihyo looks over to Chae and she makes a gesture talking about her height
Chae - Hey!
Nayeon - She's not wrong
Nayeon walks over to Chae as she gives the cub a hug as she caressed her hair as Chae pouted
Jihyo - Me,Nayeon and Mina will go over to the dealership to grab the car since fortunately they allowed us to hold it back till it was time to get it and Jeong lastly, remember to pick up the food from your dad's restaurant alright?
Jeong nods and the girls finally break off, with only a mere few hours till midnight to plan this out, they break off with their respected partners to grab the stuff
Meanwhile, Y/N and Somi was at the house fixing some stuff that broke in the house including a lightbulb that broke last night in the living room which did spook the girls but didn't stop them from carrying on with the party
Y/N - Okay okay almost got it
Y/N stood on a ladder fixing the lightbulb while Somi watched with a hand on her hip
Somi - Are you sure you don't need help?
She held the ladder with her other free hand as she watched him
Y/N - Yup, gimme a sec
Y/N finally screwed in the lightbulb and voila, it worked
Y/N - Yes!
Y/N gave himself a fist in the air while Somi let go of the ladder, unfortunately his celebration caused him to wobble a bit
Somi tried grabbing the ladder in time but Y/N's strong movements while trying to catch him caused himself to fall over backwards onto the wooden coffee table
Somi - OH SHIT! YOU OKAY?!?"
Y/N coughs as he looked at the girl with a little bit of pain in his back
Somi - Yeah, i'm alright
Somi offered her hand to lift him up and he accepts it but without feeling a little of soreness from his back, to which he rubs
Somi - Clumsy as Sana I swear
Somi retorts as she massages Y/N's back
Y/N - I need to stop celebrating too early fuck
Y/N just stood there with Somi massaging his sore back, and just then DaTzu came in with happy faces
Y/N - Chewy? Dubu? What are you guys doing here so early?, and where's the girls?
The pair head over to Y/N as they kissed him
Tzuyu - Jihyo-unnie told us that you need to help out with the garden, and she sent the both of us here since our schedules were freed up today
Dubu tilted to the side to see Somi massaging his back
Dubu - Hey Somi, why are you massaging him?
Somi - Your manager here fell, hence you see the ladder and stuff, he's alright
She pinches him to tease him as he flinched as he looked at her as she smiled
Y/N - Ow! What was that for!
Somi - Because I still have deal with your dumbass
Y/N - Oh shush, you love me
Somi - you know I love you Y/N L/N
Y/N stood there blushing red as the girls laugh
Dubu - We love our clumsy manager don't we?
Dubu and Tzuyu say as they hug him standing there
Meanwhile
Sana,Momo, and Chae finally headed towards the bakery to get the cake while Chae headed in while Sana and Momo went over to the party place which was only two stores down, Chae herself insisted on getting the cake so she heads
Cashier - HI CHAE!!!!!
The cashier waved over to Chae to which Chae waves back, teh cashier heads out of her station to give a hug to her
Cashier - How have you been!?!
Chae - I'm okay unnie, you look gorgeous today!
They talk for a while. The cashier was actually a longtime friend with the twice girls since they have been ordering cakes and buying pastries from there since they were trainees, and also the same one that made the cake for Somi's birthday a while back
Cashier - Here to pick up the cake for Y/N?
Chae - yup.
the cashier gives the cake over to Chae to which she carefully holds
Cashier - Who's Y/N?
Chae - you met him once actually. Remember Somi's last last birthday?
The cashier nods as she realises
Cashier - oh! The guy with his back against the wall as you grabbed the cake!
Chae - bingo
Cashier - that guy! he looks very. hot.
Chae - Very.
They nod to each other with a smile with Chae saying goodbye to her friend as she heads out as she walked towards the party shop where she heads in and comes across the two
Momo - Chae do you think we should get some party poppers?
Momo asks holding up a box of them
Chae - Sure why not, he would love it
Momo puts them in their basket and they gather along the rest of the stuff they need

Mina,Nayeon and Jihyo arrives at the dealership where they're greeted by the staff
Manager - Ah Mina! Great to see you again!
The manager says to Mina greeting the other two
Mina - I'm here to pick up the car?
Mina says with her elegant voice on display as she now became just Mina, not Sharon.
Manager - Oh yeah,I'll grab the keys now to give to the staff to put it outside of here, and I'll grab the papers
He heads off into his office giving the keys to his employees while the three conversate
Jihyo - Remind me again why we're in a rich looking dealership?
Jihyo asks while looking at the cars while Nayeon went off somewhere inside the dealership
Mina - I just wanted the best for Y/N, you know how much I love him"
Jihyo - We love him Mina, and I mean, I'm surprised, you don't ever buy expensive stuff unless it was given to you by a sponsor
Mina - Anything for the man we love right?
They giggle as Nayeon comes back and the manager does too
Manager - Just here and sign, and it's yours
The manager held up the papers as Mina grabbed the pen from his hand to sign it, she signed it and the manager bid them farewell as the three headed into the car with Jihyo driving
Jihyo - Alright, hopefully the rest are done by now, we need to finally do the last phase of the plan
the girls nodded at each other while they headed back to the house

Catching up on Y/N, Somi, Tzuyu and Dubu, they just finished organising and cleaning up the garden after making a quick trip to the garden store.
Y/N wipes his sweat as he sits on the ground, the girls sat around as they finally finished
Somi speaks up as she reads a text that everyone finished up and were heading home in about a hour and half
Somi - Y/N, I need you to go with me somewhere
Y/N - Huh? Where?
Somi - You remember that festival we went to when we were together?
Y/N - Oh.
Y/N gets up and nods, as he understood Somi's words as he headed up taking a quick shower to wash off
Dubu - Really? That's where you guys are gonna go?
she stood up taking off the gardening gloves as Dubu looked at Somi
Somi - Hey, I just said it out of impulse don't blame me
Tzuyu - It's good enough, don't worry as long as she gives us time to set everything up then yeah it's fine
Tzuyu heads over to the kitchen grabbing a glass of water
Somi stands up and walks over to Y/N's room where her clothes were and headed into the other bathroom taking a quick shower as well
Time passes, and the two are already out 2 hours away from the house where they finally reach the place Somi was talking about, Y/N and Somi look at each other and laugh when they finally get out of the taxi, deciding it would be better if they just went there without taking the van
Y/N - the festival of lights, never thought I'll be back here again
he walks over to Somi where he holds her hand
Somi - Yah!
Somi blushes red as she forgets that they're together again
Y/N - What? I thought we were going on a date or something?
Y/N tilts his head as the red Somi calms down
Somi - Well yeah, bu- but- nevermind let's go-
Somi drags Y/N to each stall where they relive memories of a time they had, they had fun as the sun became night nearing towards 10:30 at night
Somi and Y/N played the stall games where Y/N won a bear for Somi to which she cutely reacts at as he patted her hair
Somi - Thanks honey.
Y/N smiles as she kisses him on the cheek
Old man - you two! I remember you two!
The old man at the stall said to the two as he watched the romantic gesture between the two
Y/N - hey again sir.
Y/N and Somi bow as he held her hand as she once again became red
Old man - Hope to see you guys again next year hopefully married, I'm glad you both came back.
The old man laughs as he waves them goodbye
Y/N - Hopefully, see you!
Y/N laughs as they head off waving goodbye to the old man while Somi walked silent and red as her thoughts became frantic and her heart beats wildly again
"OH MY GOD HE SAID I WAS HIS GIRLFRIEND, I CAN'T BELIEVE HE SAID THAT, OH MY GOD MY HEART, HE'S SO CUTE"
Was all Somi could think about until Y/N started to wave in her face

Somi breaks out of her trance as he waved his hand in front of her as he smiled
Somi - Oh sorry, I was thinking about stuff
Y/N - It's alright, wanna get some dessert?

The two head over to the dessert stall grabbing some ice cream as Somi happily skips along beside him waving her arm around which was holding Y/N's hand where they finally reached a certain point which was a bit outside of the festival which was a hill with a tree, the same exact one from last time.
Y/N - Hey, we're here again
The two sit down with their backs on the tree empty handed, with them already finished their ice cream on the way up
Somi put her head on his shoulder as they watched fireworks go off
Somi - You remember this place?
Somi asks as they looked on ahead
Y/N - yeah.
Somi laughs softly a bit as they look at each other with smiles
Y/N - Mmhm, do- do you regret losing contact with me?
Y/N says, a thought he had in his mind since their conversation in the plane
Somi - Yeah. When I came back, all I could think about you, I headed by your old place when I visited mom and dad and you were gone. I didn't know what to do. I went out looking for you, and I just never did and gave up. I remember I cried every night in the apartment calling for you and you never came, after all. It was my mistake leaving in the first place.
Somi says as she faced Y/N with a soft smile and teary eyes

he wiped her eyes as they streamed down her face as she pouted as he caressed her cheek
Y/N - You're still such a baby, it's still so cute
he held both of her hands as he looked into her eyes as she sat there with a pout
Y/N - I know you regret it, but I want to tell you, I'm not leaving, not ever again, you can finally have that life we always talked about except with 9 other girls, I hold you and everyone else in my heart deep inside to where it makes me happy, nothing matters but us, you and me only Somi right now, and when we get home, I'll love you the same when we sleep, I'll love you the same when you wake up, when you make us coffee for the girls, when you go out and have that idol side come out, but in the end, you, me and the girls will be you forever till we die, I promise that I'll take care of you Somi
As Y/N gave a heartwarming speech to Somi, she suddenly kisses him without any hesitation as he gave in
They shared a heartfelt moment between the two as the fireworks exploded in the background, Somi finally found what she wanted and she will never leave ever again, not for anything and not for anyone else.
As the time reaches 12:00, Somi and Y/N head out the taxi with a new car in the driveway that he was not familiar with to which Y/N lifts his eyebrow, thinking there was someone else inside and the lights were off. before heading in, Somi stops him in his tracks
Somi - Happy birthday honey.
She kisses Y/N with her arms around him to which he accepts
Y/N - Glad to see you remembered.
He smiles softly as she looks at him with loving eyes as her arms were still around him
Y/N - How are we going to celebrate yknow? I never told the girls about my birthday and I swear Sharon forgot
the two headed inside with Y/N opening the door, taking off their shoes with them holding their hands going inside the dark living room
"SURPRISE!!!!!"
Was heard from the girls as they shouted and started their array of party blower attacks of sound
Y/N stood there dumbed and smiling, not even mad at all as he realised, Mina did remember after all
Chae - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Was heard from Chae who came running with a powerful hug and a party hat on her head
The girls soon follow excited as they all came over running to hug him to which he smiled as the girls put him in a group hug
They break off as Y/N stood there with a smile
Y/N - Glad to see, she told you about my birthday huh?
The girls looked anxiously at each other
Sana - Are you mad?
Sana swung her arms around expecting a bad answer but Y/N just smiles
Y/N - Hell no! I fucking love you girls for doing this!
He puts Sana in a hug as he laughs as Sana eases up and laughs as well, being as bubbly and bright as she ever is.
The girls all ease up as they head back to the couch where they see a birthday cake waiting for him where Sana holds his hand leading him towards it with Somi sitting beside Mina giving her a hug with Chae on the opposite side of Mina with her head on her shoulder
Jeong - Well? What's your wish?
Y/N held up the cake to his face ready to blow the candles out, as he looks at every girl with smiles planted on their faces with some with their phone out recording it
he held a deep breath as he finally got what he wanted to say
Y/N - I wish to be with you girls forever
he blows out his candles and the girls cheer, he sets down the cake as he poses for pictures
The girls laugh at the goofiness of Y/N as each girl comes up for individual pics with him with some giving him a kiss on the cheek or on the lips for some of their pics, but nonetheless it was a wholesome sight to witness as everyone girl uploaded pics to their social media minus the kisses pics captioning happy birthday to their favourite person in the world other than each other yknow. With comments congratulating the manager, despite only knowing him for a few months but nonetheless, ONCE have accepted Y/N as part of the twice family
Y/N sits down on the couch while taking a shot with Soju with Nayeon while the rest of the girls run around the house
Y/N - Eh? Where are they going?
Y/N asks who was visibly confused by this as they all suddenly went upstairs

Nayeon kisses Y/N as she runs upstairs while Y/N was suddenly left alone in the living room while music played

Up next was Momo who gave her gift next
He opens it up and found a new japanese made chef's knife engraved with his initials and the twice logo

Y/N stood there shocked and felt the knife and saw how sharp it was

Jeong walks away to the girls as she laughs knowing that her dad never actually met Y/N once yet.

Chae - It's for you and your lyrics since you were always on your phone putting them down. You can always look in your notepad whenever if your phone crashes and it removes the lyrics from there

Y/N pulls out a guitar case, a custom case to be exact which was made of wood with a big F across it
Y/N sits it down on the couch beside Chae as he opens it's hinges

he held an original fender john mayer strat from 2006 which was signed by John Mayer himself as he held a big grin on his face
Tzuyu - It took me about a week-ish, I called JYP to help me out to contact John Mayer himself, and I was willing to pay a lot for it since it was for you, he did eventually agree since he wanted it out of his hands, and well, I got him to sign it as well, right on the back since I know you would be playing it
Y/N feels up the guitar and just looks at Tzuyu as he just looked so appreciative and grateful

Mina - Now, remember that our switches had drift on them, since we did only get the lite's so I got us the next big thing, now it took me a while to find them since they sold out, but again, connections so

We flash back to this morning after Sadness took the girls to the JYP building

The cashier gets out the displays of silver rings, to which Y/N examines where he sees one's with diamonds in them, not engagement rings but normal silver rings with diamonds

he gave the cashier notes of different sizes of the girls fingers from a piece of paper, how did he get it? He asked them about their ring finger sizes when they were getting to know each other during the first week as a sort of joke between them since they never expected for them to fall in love with him

Y/N laughs as he did plan this all along since the day he came here, Y/N actually had a fuck ton of money in his savings since during his time alone, he never really used a lot of money since he wanted to save up thousands for a future house or something eventhough despite his unused money that sat in his account, Y/N was pretty frugal during his time alone so when opportunity came that he was gonna be with Twice, he planned ahead and used the money for only big things and used the rest for food of the girls and dates and such and such and that day has finally come.

They both laugh as Y/N didn't take it personally as the cashier went out to the back to get the rings in their sizes, Y/N waited a while and the cashier came back out with the rings in velvet boxes and gave them to Y/N as Y/N took out stacks of money from his bag which he brought
The cashier did seem surprised at first but shook it off, since he wasn't lying
Y/N put the boxes into his bag as the cashier gave back a receipt
Cashier - Thank you for shopping here, I suppose those rings are for your wives of course
The cashier jokes as Y/N took the joke easy

Y/N laughs too as he waved goodbye to the cashier heading out the jewellery store and took a taxi home
After getting home, he hid his bag inside his closet where he put some clothes over it, and went back to bed with Somi, as he waited for the day to play out, since he did plan to do it on his birthday not knowing about the surprise they had in store for him
We cut back to present moment where the girls are on the couch and Y/N comes back down with the boxes and gives them a box each in order
Y/N - So, girls, don't open them yet, I have to say something
The girls look at the box as it was a velvet material
Y/N - Girls, I just want to say, I'm thankful that I met you all, I love you all individually with the same amount of love I have in my heart. My dad, he told me that he was proud to see me with a group of girls like you and well, I made a promise to him and to Sharon,so if you can, open them
Each girl opens up their box and they were all surprised as some had tears streaming down their face at the sight of their ring
The girls look at Y/N as they all start to tear up now
Jihyo - Y/N.
Jihyo says as she starts to sob, they all put on their rings

Jeong says as she held her mouth from sobbing

The girls look at Somi and then to Y/N waiting for a response as their tears turned to crying
Y/N -Girls, I love you all, so for now, these rings will be temporary till I get on my knees to propose to you all, because to be honest. Jihyo, Sana,Momo,Chae,Tzuyu,Dubu,Nayeon,Sharon and Jeong, I fell in love with all of you, and there's no other people I would rather take care of and love the same other than you nine, I already had my heart to heart with Somi, it's time for yours
The first one to get up was Chae, who was already up before the other girls getting up, she gets up and hugs Y/N tight as she cried on his chest, the rest of the girls run up to Y/N putting him in a group hug as they all cried
Y/N - Girls, would you marry me after Twice is over?
tears in his eyes finally start to come out
"YES!"
The girls shout as they all cried
Y/N smiles at the crying girls as he looks at Somi
Y/N - Somi, don't worry, you're part of us now, officially.
Somi looks at him with makeup on her face as her tears came down
Somi - I love you Y/N
Somi softly says as they all get up to hug Y/N
Y/N - I love you too Somi, and to the rest of you girls, nothing can stop us now.
As the girls kept sobbing, Y/N gave in and started to sob too, in the comfort of the girls he once knew as Twice, but are now, the girls he will protect and love with his life
