Lord Voldemort was not always as insane as he is nowadays. growing up in a run-down, muggle Orphanage with little of his own it was expected that he would cling tight onto his most precious possessions and he was know to become quite vicious if someone was to touch one of those items.
When Eden Alys Hopper, a young girl with black plats on ether side of her head and a shaggy fringe that hung over her forehead, dressed in black with chunky school shoes was introduced to young Tom Riddle and the rest of the residents at Wool's Orphanage, she was nothing other than a quiet girl who didn't quite fit in with the other children.
Tom would soon come to find out why. On a particularly cloudy day in the middle of October 1936, Tom was leaning his back on a tree at the edge of the garden area with a book in his hands when he had heard a commotion coming from a group of burly older boys who were surrounding seven year old Eden.
The boys that were jeering at the quiet girl were the same group who had tormented Tom since they had arrived. When Riddle looked closer he was surprised to see the leader of the group, Maxwell Connors, laying on the muddy ground clutching his leg, that looked to be facing the wrong way, shouting the words 'Devil' and 'Witch' in between cry's of pain while pointing a shaky finger at the retreating form of Eden Hopper.
Tom was always a curious boy so he decided to follow the girl hoping to figure out if his suspicions of her being like him were true.
Eden was Shocked to find the boy the spirits had been talking about standing in the doorway of her sleeping quarters. He was an interesting boy who was much like herself, from what she had gathered.
The Hopper girl had been talking with the spirits, who had yet to pass on to the afterlife, ever since she could remember. They had explained to her that she was different from most people, that magic ran through her veins.
The young girl had been dumped as an infant in an Orphanage not that far from Wool's, but, sadly, Rosethorn Orphanage had been burnt to the ground, the muggle firefighters had placed the blame on a tea towel which had been left on the stove. The actual cause was Eden loosing her temper after finding one of her books had been ripped to pieces by another child.
Anyway, Eden didn't know much about her biological family, other than that her father was a respected wizard who happened to have an affair with her muggle mother while his magical wife was pregnant with his son. She did not know her fathers name which was the reason she goes by her mothers name 'Hopper'.
When she was five years old she asked the spirits why she could talk with the deceased and was soon informed that in the Wizarding World she was what they called a Necromancer, someone who was able to communicate and control all things related with death except for their own demise.
After showing each other their magical abilities, Tom and Eden became close friends, they were often seen by others sitting in the corner of the living room reading together and sitting together at dinner.
When they were introduced to the magical world by Albus Dumbledore, one of the first things they saw were the blinded minds of the magical community. The way the people dawned in the finest of fabrics were trying to stay the furthest they could from the commoners, some sneering if they brushed up against their silk cloaks.
They attended Hogwarts together, both sorted into the house of Serpents. Being at the top of most classes and the way Riddle and Hopper presented themselves, they managed to climb the Slytherin hierarchy rather quickly. The two had befriended a group of aristocrat looking people by their second year, Reinhard Lestrange, Abraxas Malfoy, Anthony Mulciber, Dorian Nott, Nathen Avery, Salem Rosier and Cole Rosier were Tom and Eden's main group.
After years of research, the two were able to find where they had descended from. Tom found that his mother was from the Gaunt family, a family that had been directly from the Slytherin line, which explained his ability to speak Parseltongue.
Eden knew she had a Half brother somewhere in the magical world, but what she did not expect to find was her brother was in the same castle as her. She had been looking through some books that held the family trees of magical family's in Britain, when she came across a man named Henry Potter, two lines came from him and his wife, Juliet, the first name that was attached was Fleamont Henry Potter, the second being Eden Alys Potter.
By their sixth year at Hogwarts, Eden and Tom had started planning the downfall of Albus Dumbledore with the help of their fiends. The two had heard that Dumbledore, their Transfiguration Professor, had been plotting to rule over the Wizarding World starting with magical Britain. The man would stop at nothing and anyone who got in his way would end up dead.
The Hogwarts Professor had somehow got a wiff of the groups planning sessions and couldn't let them continue. Tom and Eden knew they could not make this plan work without any altercations, they had to outlive Dumbledore but with the mans crazed mind and the power of his magic they had to put precautions in place.
The spirits reminded Eden that she could do nothing to prevent her own demise but their was a way for her to be brought back to the mortal world, someone from her family line would need to willing use a drop of their blood to be able to Resurrect her.
She helped Tom find a way to prevent his death, spending all of their free time looking through the shelves of books in the restricted section of the Hogwarts library. Eden explained to Tom that she could be Resurrected so he went on to make his first Horcrux after he accidentally killed Myrtle Warren while opening the chamber of secrets.
By the end of seventh year the two had become the leaders of the Darker factor of magical Britain, they were known as Lord Voldemort and Lady Persephone. The names were made by Eden, she had been messing around with their names while in History class one day, Eden Alys Hopped became Lady Persephone and Tom Marvolo Riddle became I Am Lord Voldemort.
Tom, Being the creative man that he was, sketched the outline of what would become their future Dark Marks. If one was on a mission without the other only one mark would show, if it was Voldemort it would be a snake slithering in the sky, if it was Persephone it would be a Skull looking around proudly in the clouds. But if the two were together the marks would join together.
They created glamors that would make their enemy's fear them and gave masks to their followers to keep their family's safe if they were recognised.
Lady Persephone was a skeletal woman with white hair that fell over her shoulders under the two cloak hoods she wore, one cloak was a murky grey colour, made from a thin silk material. The other was a thick black material with ripped lace detailing. She also held a scythe that was used to control a generous amount of magic at one time.
Lord Voldemort was a man with scales for skin and a skull head, he wore a dark cloak that rapped around his snake like body, he could control the cloak to wrap around the enemy if needed.
Unfortunately, after a few years of missions to take down Dumbledore and his pack of followers and to restore the Wizarding World, heartbreak fell upon the dark sector after their Lady was killed in Borgin and Burks at the age of twenty-five by the newly appointed Hogwarts Headmaster himself.
With the death of his fiancé, Tom pushed himself to his limits to finalise their plans so she would have not died in vain. Riddle started to create more and more Horcruxes to make sure he outlived the man who killed his only love, not realising each one he made chipped away at his sanity.
The Death Eaters saw what was happening to their Lord, they could not do anything but watch as the man started to turn into is glamor, the boy who once wanted to save the Wizarding world was washed away and revealed a merciless man with hollowing cheeks, eyes red as blood and slowly giving into insanity.
Years later, Lord Voldemort heard a rumour of a new Potter child being welcomed to world. He was going to stop at nothing to get the blood of Harry James Potter to bring his beloved back from the darkness that was death.
