"My muse!!!"
My face became sour as I heard his voice as I've arrived at his office, "I thought we agreed to not calling me that" I told him as I sat in the sofa
"Nope we didn't! What we agreed is not to fall in love, it does not say that I will stop calling you my muse" he retorted as I frowned and rolled my eyes, I completely forgot about the muse thing
"So what can I do for you my muse? Are you just here to visit me?!" He excitedly said, I can see his eyes shining and he's smiling brightly
That made me think whether he really is Lex, because the more I think about it, the more they don't feel alike, or is it just the face? Or he just lied to me?
I can't put the pieces right... he's making me confuse...
"I'm here to hear your thoughts of my plan" I started of,
I'm curious... I'm really curious why he is so adamant on not accepting the king's proposal...
"Ok, I'm listening"
"I've heard from my informants that His Highness, King Frederick will propose to me this Summer ball, and I'm planning to accept so I can infiltrate the northern kingdom"
Upon hearing my words, he then went silent which made me feel uncomfortable, I cough with a low voice and faced him
"So what do you think of my plan?" I asked him... breaking the silence
"Alyssa, you can't possibly just accept his proposal so just you can infiltrate the kingdom" he explained as I rolled my eyes as I noticed he stopped calling me My Muse
"Why? We have no other alternative?! This is the perfect solution to our problem even if it means to sold myself to the other kingdom!" I told him slightly raising my voice
"The northern kingdom is dangerous Alyssa, if you go there and be wed to the king, it will be like you entering the lion's den" he said maintaining the tone of his voice to not raise it
"That is the point of the plan, who the heck didn't know that Queen Lilith wants something from me!"
"Alyssa please, just listen to me just this once, marrying the King is not the answer, because he will be the end of you!" He raised his voice and he notice he said something he didn't have, he then covered his mouth and his widened
"What?"
He didn't reply to me, as I felt impatient now
"Kian, what do you mean that that he will be the end of me? Why would you know that?!" I asked him
"I can't tell you"
"Again with those words! How can I just blindly follow you when I don't even know the fxcking reason?!?" I am getting angry now, and he seemed to notice it,
"Alyssa, please... don't"
"Don't what? Marry the King? Why? Can't you just tell me?" I could feel that I can't control my feelings any more
"I can't! But he is a dangerous and-"
"No one in the world is not dangerous Kian! Even you're dangerous! But I'm willing to be friends with you" I told him as he then only shut his mouth
"I know that's why I'm protecting you and-"
"Protect? Why would you protect me from him? You know something and yet you're not telling me because of some goddamn reasons"
"Alyssa, you can't marry the king"
"I will marry the king, it is my duty" I retort to his words as he then sighed loudly
"You will not"
"I will, and you can't do anything about it, unless you tell me that goddamn reason why I can't marry him, maybe I'll reconsider" I told him, blackmailing him
He went silent, but then he sighed and looked at me with his blue eyes
"I... can't tell you... I'm sorry" he said avoiding making eye contact with me
"I see, you have no valid excuse to prevent me from marrying the king, and as my sister said that the King is fit to be my husband because of his status, I will marry him" I told him, and he could feel that I'm serious hearing the tone of my voice
"Is this what it is about? Status? That he is a king?"
"Of course not! I don't care about status, but I'm just doing this for my Duty... something bad will happen and could possibly destroy the world, if I don't go there to the Northern Kingdom, to look for suspicious things, it will be our doom"I explained to him and stood up from my seat
"What if you will fall in love with him?"
Hearing his question, I think for a moment, as I scoffed
"That's absurd, but who knows? From what I've read from novels is that, love doesn't bloom until after marriage" I said, only to tease him of course, but then I saw how scary is expression is
"Look, I'm not the type of girl to fall in love easily, especially after what you did to me as Lex, I don't believed in love since" I told him as I faced him who is sitting in his seat
"Anyways, I need to go... thanks for your nonsense thoughts" I waved him goodbye as I went out from his office, not letting him say goodbye to me,
I closed the door, and lean down on his door and took a huge deep breath, as I try to avoid the tingling feeling inside of me,
"Madam?you ok?"
I nearly hit the person who scared me, but I then saw Smiley, looking at me worriedly, he is beautiful... no wonder brother loves him
"I'm fine, just finish arguing with Kian" I told him as he then shook his head in disappointment,
"Madam, about your brother and me... I-"
"I'm ok with it, but of course... you have your own reasons to not see him, but he also has his reasons why he did that" I said as he only then lower his head
"The only thing matters is that he loves you, and from what I've seen from your expression, you still love him" I added as I then saw a smile from his face
"But I have a question..." I then leaned near his ears "have you done the deed?"
Hearing my question, he then turned red "Madam!"
"What just asking?"
"Madam, o-of course not!" He stuttered and he is still red, and he looks so cute...
"Ok, nothing happened" I said , but of course... I know that they did something...
"I need to go, and of course I'll send your regards to my brother" as I said those words I walked away, to not hear his retorts, when in truth he loves it
I hope that they'll end up together and be happy...
