Dynamite threw Grace and BTS further into the spotlight with their full-length track that was entirely in English. Grace was the first member to sing it in full once the verses had been written to make sure it sounded right then the members filled in their spots where needed. The song brought on a new set of skills for Grace as well as she was now their main translator outside of Nicole and frequently was seen translating between the boys, interviewers, staff and more. Not only that, she also had taken part in creating some of the choreography.
Reaching number one on the Billboard Top 100 was a dream come true and every triumph afterwards felt unbelievable, as if one by one their dreams were finally coming to fruition. There was a lot of hard work and the amount of dance practices, performances(specially at the Grammy Museum) and interviews were starting to take a slight toll.
For Grace, Dynamite added a new love of music as now she could sing a BTS song in full English and when their album, BE, came out along with Life Goes On (one of Grace's admitted least favourite songs) it seemed everything was back on track. Her favourte track out of all the songs was Stay with Jungkook, RM and Jin. She didn't have much to do with the writing of the other tracks but instead reverted to her original role that she had been hired for by BigHit and that was assistant. There were many BANGTAN BOMBS filmed by Grace of her being an assistant to every member while they were working through the album.
The clothes in the era were fun, retro, 1970s inspired outfits and Grace reverted back to her brown hair. It was one of her favourite eras and one she had loved working on, though when it ended Grace then could start work on her second mixtape which had long been delayed.
FACTS:
Many videos you can see Grace in the background, on the laptop, typing up notes. One of where Yoongi is painting, you can hear her faintly talk in the background asking if he wanted a coffee and another video of V, RM and J-Hope sharing ideas for their jacket shooting, Grace was sat next to RM, typing up their ideas.
Life Goes On was filmed in their dorm by Jungkook and one the most viewed moments is when Grace is in the kitchen, cooking everyone breakfast then chasing Jin out with a spoon.
An ARMY recorded the amount of time Grace had spoken English during promos and it was a lot higher than Namjoon's recorded.
