Bakugou first saw you in the last year of middle school. he became aware you both lived on the same street, but attended different schools.
often he'd see you in the local park with your friends, or in town, or outside your house. and something about you made bakugou's heart do backflips.
you took notice of the local blonde boy too, and you did have to admit, he was pretty cute. well, cuter than the boys at mustafa middle school.
bakugou couldn't help but admire your looks, too. it was true, you were known for being very gorgeous. your lovely h/c hair and big bright e/c eyes, with your dreamy figure was something people always commented on.
maybe, one day, you two would meet.

The day of the Entrance Exam ➤➤
you arrived at the glorious ua high school building alongside your step-brother, kirishima, and your best friend, mina.
mina and you had been best friends since diapers, you had always been stuck together like glue. everything you two had been through, you'd been there for each other. so it was a good thing you were with her then or you'd had dropped dead.
your heart was beating like crazy as you looked up at the premises.
"well what're you waiting for? c'mon!!" mina squealed, grabbing your wrist and pulling you along with her through the doors. together you found the orientation hall and sat down, seeing present mic, the voice hero, at the front.
"what's up ua candidates? thanks for tuning in to me, your school dj!" he greeted the dark room of middle schoolers. "C'MON AND LEMME HEAR YA!"
he was answered with pure silence, you gulped in awkwardness because you felt like someone was watching you. you turned your head and saw bakugou eyeing you before quickly turning away with a scowl.
i feel like i've seen him before.. why was he staring at me?
you learnt that you would be gaining points from defeating robot villains based off of their difficulties. you could also gain rescue points for helping others. sounds easy enough, for you.
you had an extremely powerful quirk, whoever knew you knew that. now it was time to show it off and get into your dream school.
"GOOD LUCK!" the voice hero wished everyone.
you got changed and stood in front of the massive gates of battle center A, stretching your arms outwards. unfortunately, you weren't with kirishima or mina. but you did recognise someone.
a couple metres away the spiky blonde stood, a grumpy expression on his face as he was watching you once again. you two made eye contact and in embarrassment he looked away. you approached the boy.
"um.. hey, not to be rude or anything, but why do you keep staring at me?" you asked, smiling and rubbing the back of your neck.
"tch, i wasn't you extra!" he defended himself. just then you realised.
"hey! i remember you! you live on my street, right? what's your name?" you interviewed, trying to be friendly.
"as if i'd tell you that!!" he rudely remarked. you glanced at the name tag on his wrist.
"oh, bakugou! i'm l/n, nice to meet you!" you said nicely.
"whatever." he stuttered, covering his cheeks with his arm to cover his red cheeks. damnit, she's so close.
as soon as the huge gates opened you used a strong gust of wind to throw you up into the air quickly, then you spotted one of the villains and used another wind to throw yourself towards it.
you set your feet on fire and forcefully landed on it with them, destroying the upper part, killing it instantly. that should be at least 35 points.
after effortlessly destroying some more villains, there was a huge shaking sound as dust appeared around the villains. you stood among everyone, grinning confidently.
you looked up and saw a humongous green robot, ready to defeat it. but suddenly, some other kid with green hair shot up and put it down with just one punch. it was unbelievable. before you had time to be annoyed about him taking your chance, he began plummeting down to the ground again.
in instinct, you used your air quirk to create a huge cushion of air for him to land on. when he did land, he was obviously passed out with his whole arm bruised with purple.
when the practical exam was over, you were insanely confident. 78 villain points and 32 rescue points.
"i didn't expect to get that many! how many points did you get, eijirou?" you questioned the red head you were walking home with.
"39 villain points and 35 rescue points." he stated proudly, clenching his fist together. you grinned at him, trying to ignore the fact you weren't used to his red hair yet.
"hm, well i got more." you shrugged. "oh yeah, and i met that blonde boy who lives across from us. his names bakugou, i think he goes to aldera or something."
"oh yeah, him. i saw him during the exam, the amount of power his attacks have is crazy! you shoulda seen him. i think he got 77 points." kirishima says, running his hand through his hair.
"he did seem kinda aggressive when i talked to him though. maybe i'll get on his good side in ua." you smiled, hoping to become bakugou's friend.
"yeah, as if anyone would wanna be friends with you, y/n." he chuckled, you punched him in the arm for that little joke. "OW! I WAS JUST KIDDING!"

"who came in first again?"
"she's stronger than any other female student i've ever seen, one of the best period." one judge observed, replaying you on one of the computers.
"yes, her confidence stands out a lot. what's the kids name again?" another judge asked.
"y/n l/n, i think."
"there's no doubt! this kid's GOTTA get accepted!" one of the judges cheered.

❝A few weeks later❞
"y/n! eijirou! come down please!" your mother called from the bottom of the stairs. you and kirishima rushed down to the kitchen to be met with your mother and stepfather, kenji, who you never really took a liking to.
"what's up?" kirishima and you asked simultaneously, walking to the kitchen island they were surrounding.
"check it out, letters from ua!" kenji announced, holding two envelopes with yours and kirishima's full names on. you lit up with excitement and suspense.
this is it. did i get accepted?
you took your letter and went into the living room to reveal it. ripping open the envelope, a small device flew out, hitting the carpeted floor.
suddenly, a projection appeared above the device and all might appeared. your jaw dropped. THE NUMBER 1 HERO!? wait.. why's he in my letter?
'young l/n! i first would like to congratulate you in coming FIRST in the entrance exam! very impressive.' his mighty voice boomed proudly. you felt yourself light up.
'i also would like to congratulate the fact that YOU HAVE GOTTEN ACCEPTED! well done.' he informed you, showing a big thumbs up and smiling.
"oh my god.." you mumbled. "OH. MY. GOD!" you squealed, running into the kitchen again where your family was.
"I GOT IN! ALL MIGHT SAID! I CAME FIRST!" you blabbered, waving the paper you had in your hand.
"all might?" kenji tilted his head in confusion.
"well done sweetie!" your mother clapped excitedly.
"nice one kid! let's see that letter." kenji vocalised, reading the paper. "wow! and it says here, you're in class 1a."
"yayyy n/n!! you're a hero now!!" echiko giggled, standing up on her chair and clapping, just like mom.
"I GOT IN, TOO! THIRD PLACE, CLASS 1A!" kirishima slided through the kitchen entrance.
"we are very proud of you both." kenji pronounced, his hand on mom's shoulder.
you and eijirou grinned happily. this is it, the beginning of a new chapter.
