It has been 4 days since I've seen Thor in the pub, right now I was making my way towards the tower of babel where the meeting of the gods would be held.
This past couple of days has been a failure for me, I can't seem to find anyone worthwhile that would want to join my familia, and anyone who does wish to join are either weak or talentless.
Well I did receive good news as I updated August's status yesterday when he got back from his daily dungeon diving. And boy I was pleasantly surprised at how fast he was getting stronger.

Endless Battle: The user enters a state of pure concentration in fighting, giving him a temporary boost in stats. The longer the fight continues, the higher the user's stat rises. This magic can only be activated once the condition has been met.
+Conditions
:The user must wield Beowulf.
: The user has to slay or injure the opponent for blood to be absorbed by Beowulf.
: The user must be fully immersed in Battle and nothing else.
: Due to the recent battle experience the user can now use the magic instantaneously as long as the user is fully immersed in battle.
-Note
:If the user stops Endless Battle in any way, shape, or form, the Stats resets back to its original and the user may enter mind zero depending on how long the use of endless battle is.
Skills:
Survivor's Drive: If the user survives or wins an unsurvivable situation, the user will receive a permanent boost in stats. (Boost may vary on how unsurvivable the situation is)
Beowulf's call: The ancient weapon Beowulf has chosen the user to be its master, it allows the user to use (at a limited time) all the skills and experience of the previous user of Beowulf using mana at the process. with every kill the user does with Beowulf, the user receives a portion of the slain mana back. As the battle goes on and more mana has been absorbed the user will activate the magic Endless Battle.
Beowulf Greed: The user can only use Endless Battle and Lethal Tempo if the user uses Beowulf, The effects of lethal tempo are dependent on the user's level.
Monster Slayer: Heavily increases all abilities when fighting monsters, potentially making the user stronger than his actual level when fighting them.
Adaptability: the user adopts with every battle he faces, gaining new experience which would trigger growth in existing skills and magic.
Development abilities:
Hunter: Hunter improves the user's abilities against monsters the user fought before and gained excelia from.
Lethal Tempo: The User gains Temporary DEX and AGI with every hit the user makes. Can only be used if the user is wielding Beowulf. The effects are dependent on the user's level.
Charge: The user AGI and STR stat increase temporarily when going in for an attack against multiple enemies or enemies that are stronger than the user.
Abnormal Resistance: Resist the effects of abnormalities such as poison.
Strong Body: The user has an extremely strong body due to training.
Mana Manipulation: The user has full control over his mana and can wield it with high mastery.

Not only did his stat rise, one of the weaknesses of his magic Endless battle also vanished, he can now use it instantaneously as long as he is in battle. He also gained a new skill as well and a new development skill to boot which made his arsenal so much more vast.
Damn prodigy.
I admit that I was a bit greedy in the standard of people joining my familia because of my resident prodigy, the criteria might be a bit high, but I have no choice in this matter.
The criteria for joining my familia is quite high, anyone who can take my child's bloodlust along with his spear can join no problem, but those who fail have no place in it.
Harsh as it is, it is a necessity since they'll be joining August deep inside the dungeon and if they can't handle his bloodlust and aura, they'll just get in his way.
The words of Thor ran through my mind like a broken record. The gods are a greedy bunch, and right now I'm sure that August is well known, especially as the rumor of him defeating a monster rex alone became well known to the masses as it was made public by the guild.
"Ouranus that old fool really is a pain in the ass." I spoke to no one in particular as I climbed up the stairs of babel.
Maybe I should let my standard fall just a bit, but the development of August takes priority and training someone from scratch would take time. And I don't want to waste my child's time since it would put his development to a standstill.
"Heracles!" I heard a voice calling me which snapped me out of my thought process, I turned only to see the legal loli as well as the one eyed red head coming my way.
"Hestia, Hephaestus..." I gave them a nod as they reached my side.
"The fuck is wrong with your child? Taking a monster rex on his own. On his first day inside the dungeon no less. Isn't it a bit unfair how you got such a great child while the beautiful and graceful goddess such as myself is still searching for one?" and there's Hestia speaking nonsense yet again. I swear every time I see her my brain feels like it's losing something.
"Nice to see you as well Hestia."
"Oh shut up!!!" she pouts as she stomps her feet on the ground which makes her tits bounce all over the place. Did all her nutrients go inside her chest. They really do break the laws of physics.
"Hey Heracles, looks like you'll get your hands full after today, most of the gods really want to take young August for themselves." Hephaestus said as she walked by my side as we climbed the stairs together.
"I was expecting this, but Denatus coming this early wasn't in my calculation."
"It really did come early, we just had one a month ago, usually it would take three months before another Denatus would be held, it seems that the sly old fox is pulling some string in the shadows."
"I should have known that the old fool is behind this. I really should have crushed his head when I had the chance."
"I take it that he was the one who ordered the release of August's merit inside the dungeon. He also released his record of achieving level 5 in 9 years. Luckily for you he can't release his status for the public to see as most gods would criticize him for doing so."
"Still he did quite the damage already, he put a huge target on me and my child. I assume many gods had already prepared wargames to take advantage of my predicament. Seeing that August is the only member of my familia, they would likely challenge me into a siege."
"Well I did hear that there're multiple adventurers who would love to join your familia but were turned down, to tell you the truth you don't have the time to be picky about these things right now."
"what good would a bunch of weaklings do? They'll just hold August back."
"not everyone is a prodigy, people like August are a one in a thousand, they won't just pop up out of nowhere and land in your lap. Surrounding him with a reliable comrade would do him good, it doesn't have to be as strong as him." Hephaestus took a deep breath and looked at me in the eye. "compromise is an option Heracles."
"...I'll keep that in mind."
She smiled and continued her way up. She has a point, but in doing so I would give August a burden that he does not need right now. Maybe lowering the standard a bit won't hurt in the long run but what I need right now are people who can keep up with him because I know for a fact that an issue for wargames is coming.
Which brings the question, who would be challenging me? Apollo is a greedy god but he doesn't have the power to issue a challenge. I believe that his strongest is only level 3. Even with all of his force they won't put a scratch at August.
Freya is who I'm worried about. She has a reputation here in Orario, and she might take advantage of my vulnerable spot right now. She is smart enough not to face me in any direct confrontation, but a wargame is something that I have to watch out for. She is a war goddess afterall and she will no doubt take this chance.
Loki has her familia on an expedition inside the dungeon and won't be coming out anytime soon so she won't be issuing a challenge.
Ganesha has the largest motive for issuing a challenge. He will no doubt bring the spear as his familia's property. Well he did give the spear to August's old man. And from what I know August's father is a part of their familia and using this as reason for challenging me is a possibility. There's a rumor circulating around the city that his captain is pushing for him to challenge us for August. So right now, the largest threat would be Ganesha.
'there's no point in thinking about this now. I'll worry about it when it actually happens.'

The fuck, I though Denatus was supposed to be meeting of the gods. But the fucking thing was just small talk and gossips. A fucking waste of time for the gods to kill time.
I was just about to stand up and leave this place but the topic took a turn and peaked my interest.
"So I heard Heracles has officially graced us with his presence." and of course it was Apollo who brought the topic to me.
"Oh I heard he even got himself a strong adventurer in his familia."
"Too bad the child is stuck with a incompetent god who used to be a mortal."
Many of the gods joined in the conversation. As if I wasn't right here.
"Haha- hahaha- HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" I can't help but laugh at them as all the gods looked in my direction. "oh sorry about that. I guess I just find your words to be funny. After all... I do see you all as clowns and fools."
"YOU DARE MOCK US?!"
"SUCH DISRESPECT!!!"
"WE WILL NOT STAND YOUR INSULTS!!!"
It was becoming noisy inside here, as most of the gods stood and started berating me. Insults about how I'm a former mortal, a disgrace for a god, blah blah blah... As if I care what they are thinking of.
I released a portion of my godly aura and shook the room which made everyone go quiet.
"oh... You guys seem to have lost your tongues." I scanned the room and found that almost everyone was dodging my gaze. I saw loki smiling as usual, Thor giving everyone a smirk, Apollo biting his lips and clenching his fist, Ganesha at his usual pose folding his arms in his chest, and Freya smiling at me with her seductive smile.
No matter how many times I see it, it just gives me the creep when she smiles like that.
"Enough!!!" a voice boomed inside the room, all eyes looked at who it came from. Then everyone became shocked.
'What the hell is he doing here?' I can't help but think as a figure I wasn't expecting to arrive and showed himself sitting at one of the seats.
His long raven hair tied neatly, white porcelain skin that seems to shine, wearing a black coat, his green eyes started at everyone in the room as his aura seeps into every crevice making the room darker. His very presence screamed divinity. A god that everyone respects even me. He gained everyone's attention.
He fixed his gloves as he pulled his aura back, making the room less tense and back to its usual glow.
"I did not come here to waste time in petty squabbles, small talks and gossip. I have more pressing matters to attend to. If there isn't any more topic I suggest we call this Denatus adjourned." his voice carried regality, fit of that of a king.
"Don't be like that Lord Hades..." a playful voice cuts the silence as Hermes talks for everyone in the room. "We still have lots of topics for our plate today. For instance many adventurers had leveled up this past couple of months and would need their aliases. Heracles child is already level 5... Yet for some reason he still does not possess an alias for himself." he looked at me and gave me one of his patented playful smiles. "and I'm sure many of the gods here have something they want to discuss. Isn't that right everyone?"
Many in the room gave their agreement towards the playful god, he then smiled and took a bow as he continued to speak with the same calm and playful voice. "As you can see lord Hades. Many here agree that the Denatus should still continue."
"Very well... Let us not waste any more time." Hades gave his nod of approval which made Hermes widen his smile more.
"As you wish lord Hades. *clap* now then everyone let us proceed."
