Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum

Affectionately known to as Fazza, is the Crown Prince of Dubai and an endurance champion. He has known Umut since he was little and despite their age differences, he and the boy have remained close friends.

When Umut arrives to Dubai, he realizes he is not the same person he was once and realizes, he has been dealing with a lot on his own without any support.

When Umut attempts to escape Dubai against his and his mom's wishes, for reasons unknown, Hamdan drafts an executive order that effectively bars him from leaving the Emirate.

Is eighteen/nineteen years old and has always had the ambition of building a life for himself and attending the University of Southern California, USC.

His mom forces him to move to Dubai, the last place he ever wanted to go to. He was once close to the Crown Prince of the emirate, Sheikh Hamdan, but circumstances drove them apart and as a result, they've become estranged.

He does all he can to avoid running into him, but ultimately fails.

When he tries to go back to Los Angeles, against Hamdan's and his mom's wishes, the prince drafts an executive order that bars him from stepping out of Dubai unless he is given special permission to do so.

As a result of this, he views Dubai as his prison but ultimately learns there are forces behind these actions, truths he never knew about.
