-a street-
"Tohka...where are you?" wondered Shido while looking for Tohka and he found her. "It's you...you're that boy from before..." replied Tohka finding Shido through dumb luck. "Do you remember me?" asked Shido warily. "Yeah...but...my memory is a bit fuzzy to be honest, but i didn't forget meeting you." Tohka replied with a nod. 'I see...so not even the memory erasure of the DGP didn't fully work on Tohka. Good to know.' thought Shido.
"Now then...what are you here for?" asked Tohka pointing Sandalphon at Shido. "Look...can we go out on a date? We'll meet at a certain spot, i'll take you around the place. sound good?." said Shido nervously. "Hmm...fine. I'll accept your proposal." hummed Tohka disappearing. "Nice job big brother, we'll prepare the usual." snickered Kotori as Shido was more focused on what would happen. "I don't think you should, i'll do it myself." muttered Shido while turning off the transceiver and sat on a bench.
-i'm going to skip some parts of the date as it's too damn long-
As Shido and Tohka went on their date in the mall, of all of the people they bumped into was...Ace. "Well i didn't know you were on a date, and it's the same girl from before." commented Ace amused while Shido made a flustered look. "Do you know him Shido?" asked Tohka confused. "Yeah...me and my little sister met him yesterday, everyone's actually jealous that he's my aquintance." Shido replied while scratching his head. "It seems that you have some problems, care to tell me?" asked Ace cockily as ever. "Ugh, monetary problems. Tohka's quite the big eater and i spent half of my money on food." mused Shido in despair. "Gotcha covered. I was actually going to a place here in the mall that sell really good burgers. Wanna come along? my treat." said Ace while making an offer. "Tohka?" asked Shido looking at the spirit. "Of course! Lead the way Mr. Ace!" said Tohka cheerfully as Ace smirked and beckoned the two to follow him while people looked on slight jealously. "Ugh...i'm really jealous of you right now big brother..." groaned Kotori in dismay while watching via a few cameras while Shido just laughed at her expense.
-the burger joint which is unnamed-
"So, what are you going to do in the next round which is in two days eh?" asked Ace to Shido while Tohka was happily eating a quarter pound burger. "Well you already know." snarked Shido with a huff. "Say once we finish eating, how about i buy you a jacket? I've a feeling that you'll need one." mused Ace while finishing his burger, his 4th to be exact. "Here's the money. Keep the change folks and thanks for the meal." said Ace while paying their bill with an extra tip which was a huge one and let's leave it at that.
-the department store, clothing section-
"Hmm...this one looks good." hummed Shido finding a jacket his size while it was big enough to cover someone fully. "Found your jacket? Alright, let's purchase." said Ace with a smile when Shido found the right one. Little did Shido know that the jacket he bought would be very instrumental in the future.
-the mall entrance-
"Well, see you two tomorrow." said Ace while waving goodbye to Shido and Tohka. "Shido, i think he's a nice guy." commented Tohka with a chuckle. "I doubt it. But yeah, maybe." mused Shido. 'Yeah, i doubt it after he tricked Keiwa, he might be nice but he's a fox after all.' he thought still thinking about Keiwa's naive gullibility which cost him the Boost Buckle. "Alright, Tohka want to go somehwere else?" asked Shido with Tohka giving him a wordless nod. "Alright then..." whispered Shido as he took Tohka's hand and began to walk.
-Raizen High rooftop-
"Shido...is it okay for me to be here? To live in this world?" asked Tohka clearly nervous and afraid. "Of course! You are alive right!? So it's okay for you to be here! We'll figure out something, a way for you to live normally in this world so please...don't give up hope!" Shido replied while knowing that the AST while watching them and knew Origami would line up for a shot. 'Alright, since i got Zadkiel i'll use it to minimize the damage from the bullet, but i need to make sure the ice is thick enough to completely minizmine the bullet's speed.' thought Shido as he began to formulate a plan.
Origami was positioning her rifle and was preparing to shoot. "Fire on my command Origami." ordered Ryoko as the white haired girl prepared to fire at the spirit not realizing that Shido was going to block her shot.
'Just a little more...' Shido thought as Zadkiel's ice slowly but surely was making a thick cover of ice. 'Alright, Origami...take your shot!' growled Shido as he kept talking to Tohka.
"Origami, you have permission to shoot." ordered Ryoko as Origami nodded and aimed her rifle at Tohka not realizing that Shido was going to block it. The white haired girl then pulled the trigger.
Shido now realized that the bullet was almost there. He instantly turned to Tohka with a determined look. "Tohka listen to me carefully, don't be too mad at them okay? So please stay calm!!" yelled Shido as Tohka was confused at his explanation as Shido knew the bullet was heading straight away!
"Tohka get down!!" Shido yelled as he pushed the spirit aside and dashed straight to the path of the bullet and crossed his arms as a very thick layer of ice formed around them in an instant, Shido knew that not even his arms would be able to stop an anti spirit weapon. 'Gee, i wonder if being a Kamen Rider would be able to shield an attack like this?' he thought as the ice now formed a very thick layer of ice over his clothes. 'Here goes!!!' thought Shido preparing himself.
The bullet hit.
Shido thankfully made the ice thick enough to completely stop the bullet, despite that...it was still strong enough to punch a hole through his right arm and chest. "Argh...!" he growled as dropped to his knees. "Huh!? Shido!?" yelled Tohka in horror as Shido winced in pain. "Don't worry, it's only a scratch!" he growled as Camael's flames began to heal his busted right arm which was nearly ripped off while the large hole in his chest was starting to bleed. 'Only one option...!' growled Shido internally as he knew what angel to use.
"Zafkiel...The fourth bullet...Dalet!!" yelled Shido as he fired the pistol to his head once Camael healed his right arm enough to fire the pistol. As he was lying on the ground, Shido was unaware that he was being watched...by Geats (while in Armed Water form). "Seems that the kid's got what it takes, guess i wasn't needed to interfere. Heh, the mystery surrounding the spirits is going to get me dragged into it...and i'm going to enjoy this." mused the fox themed rider as he jumped out of sight. 'Well Mr. Woodman...thanks for the info you gave me when you and your assistant bumped into me when you were both sightseeing...' thought Geats knowing the info he got regarding the spirits (barring the First Spirit as it's confidential and any information about Shinji Takamiya was also classified.) and was interested in solving a mystery: the mystery of the spirits and their origins.
Ryoko's eyes nearly bugged out of her skull when she saw the boy whom she had thought to be normal, had pushed Princess out of the way and taken the bullet meant for her. She cast a concerned glance at Origami, since he was one of her friends despite their slight bickering. The girl in question was staring in a stunned gaze, right before her eyes widened suddenly in shock. "Captain look!" yelled Origami pointing at something. Ryoko immediately snapped back to the sight of the soon to be dead boy, right arm and chest impaled by the- wait a minute...that ain't right.
A massive clock had appeared behind him and he was holding an old fashioned pistol to his leg. "An angel...?" Ryoko muttered before letting a shocked yell of complete surprise. "Wha-!?"
The boy had shot the bullet. Instead of causing more injury, the wounds he had were completely healed. Even his clothes were fixed back to normal. It was as if the shot never happenned at all. When he glanced upward, Ryoko could see the abnormal clock pattern in his eye rapidly fading, replaced by a look of irritation mixed with anger.
Ryoko realized now was not the time to gawk or stare. "Everyone, RETREAT!!" the AST fled upon hearing Ryoko's order.
Shido glared at the fleeing AST members and sighed in relief. He then realized he had more pressing matters to attend to. "I'm okay Tohka." he assured the girl who was staring at him and staring at where his wounds were while tears were in her eyes. "Uhhh...Tohka? You there?" asked Shido worriedly as he cautiously shook her.
Slowly the purple haired girl looked at him and in a complete flip from her behavior in the last couple of minutes ago, she burst into tears and hugged Shido was was surprised. "WAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! SHIDOOOOO!!!" sobbed the hysterical spirit. "There, there...i'm okay. there's nothing to worry." said Shido while comforting the sobbing spirit. "I thought-i thought you were gone! Don't scare me like that!" sobbed Tohka as Shido just laughed.
Then Shido recieved a message from Kotori via the earpiece. "Big bro, you have a lot of explaining to do when you get back. Now take the chance, kiss her!"
Shido muttered something as he covered his mouth. "Hm? You don't want to kiss?" asked Tohka as Shido shook his head. "I do. But let me do something first..." Shido replied as he put the jacket around Tohka so that it cover her body. 'I knew this would come in handy.' he thought as he and Tohka kissed.
Kissing the spirit had sealed her power, so the school uniform woven from Reiryoku vanished as it had appeared. "Wha-?" Tohka was caught off guard by this as a huge blush appeared on her face as she hugged Shido. "Don't look!" pleaded Tohka as Shido just laughed. "Guess the jacket covered you up!" laughed Shido as Tohka pouted. "Mou....!" groaned the irritated spirit as Shido laughed again. "Oh yeah Tohka, how did you know about kissing and how to do it?" asked Shido as Tohka blushed harder. "I saw people doing it on the date, and it was on some magic screens too!" Tohka replied while Shido was a bit confused. "Magic screens? oh you mean billboards...billboards where Ace is also seen..." said Shido while muttering the last part of his sentence. "Hm? Did you say something Shido?" asked Tohka as Shido shook his head.
"Well done Shido, we'll be picking you up now. Do give me a wonderful explanation on that gun and the ice will you?" said Kotori interrupting the two via the earpiece. "Heh. Damn right i will." Shido replied with a smirk which made Kotori uncomfortable. 'But i won't tell you what happened today...' added Shido not wanting to reveal his participation in the DGP. And with that, the pair was enveloped in light and found themselved on the Fraxinus. 'Two more days...i'll fight again...I will make my wish come true!' thought Shido vowing to fight and ensure the previous timeline does not repeat itself.
Author's notes: Whew! Sorry for the delay folks, now Shido and Tohka have completed their date and Shido has sealed his first spirit. Now the following chapter is Shido dealing with school life with Tohka while bumping into Ace and the rest before the next round starts. And as always, see you all later.
