It had taken Henrik sometime to decide who he wanted to tell about his reincarnation first but ultimately he made up his mind knowing exactly who to tell first; initially he wanted to tell Elijah but he suspected that he would probably threaten him thinking that he was playing some sick joke alas the safer option was his sister, Rebekah Mikaelson
Rebekah wasn't the kind of person who would kill you on site unless you seriously pissed her off, so this did seem like the safest option to go with regardless Henrik had to find a way to get into Mystic Falls without anyone spotting him or else this would raise alot of suspicion about him supposedly being dead
Luckily Alice was one step ahead of him as he found her sitting in the living room with a circle with some chalk writing all over the ground with a necklace in the middle of the circle as Henrik could hear her faintly chanting; some candles around them lit up as Alice opened her eyes and grabbed the necklace from within the circle and handed it to Henrik
Alice:It's not much but this necklace should hide you long enough for anyone you don't want to see you to remain hidden
Henrik puts the necklace on feeling a small surge of power coming off of it as he checks his reflection seeing that he had none as he couldn't help but chuckle at this
"I know this is just temporary but I can't thank you enough for what you've done for me..I seriously owe you, Alice.."
He pulled her into a hug as she happily accepted it and hugged him back
Alice:We've been apart for a thousand years, Henrik..being with you these last few days have meant so much to me..
He pulled away from their hug as he put his hand upon her cheek and gently rubbed it as Alice placed her hand to where Henrik had put his hand and gently squeezed it; despite being apart for very long they still enjoyed each other's company
"And I promise you that we will have so many more days to come, we have alot to catch up on after all.."
He didn't know what had come over him but he leaned in and placed a kiss on Alice's left cheek as she moved her head up and looked up at him
Alice:Why did you do that..?
Henrik opened his mouth to say something that would explain his reasoning but no words came out of his mouth as he stepped back from Alice and quickly changed the topic
"We should be on our way to Mystic Falls..it could give us more time so that I can talk to Rebekah.."
Henrik quickly walked out of the living room as Alice stood there and put her hand to where Henrik had kissed her cheek as she rubbed it and blushed slightly; it was an unexpected surprise but it was a nice and comforting surprise as Alice grabbed her eyes to from a small bowl and followed Henrik to close the front door of the apartment

The drive had been quite long for them but it was well worth it as Henrik slowly came to a stop to a nearby parking lot after ordering some McDonald's for Alice in the town of Mystic Falls for her to eat, he reclined his seat back but before turning on the radio to listen to some music
Henrik laid his head back and just listened to the song playing on the radio; he hummed it to himself recognizing the artist knowing practically every song he had made since day one, the sound of giggling caught Henrik's attention as he looked to his left seeing Alice eating her french fries
Henrik moved his chair back up and nudged Alice's shoulder as she innocently smiled at him
"Please tell me what's so funny, Alice?"
Alice sets her french fries and wipes her hands from some of the salt on her fingertips and replies back to Henrik
Alice:Well I wouldn't say funny but more like cute, you know every single word to that song..I don't think I could even do that..
In a blink of an eye using his supernatural speed, Henrik snatches Alice's french fries away from her and starts to eat them in front of her
"Trust me, these kind of songs are not around for long so I like to enjoy them when I hear it"
The song eventually does end as Henrik turns off the radio and starts the car back up, he hands Alice her french fries back as she playfully smacks him on the shoulder making Henrik roll his eyes in a playful manner
But Alice did genuinely wonder why didn't Henrik want anyone who would recognize him to see him in Mystic Falls; most of all the family and friends he once had when he was Jeremy Gilbert
Henrik pulls out of the parking lot and drives in the direction of the Mikealson mansion; curiosity filling Alice's mind she asks Henrik what she was wondering
Alice:Henrik..why don't you want to see anyone else besides Rebekah? Did they do something to you?
Henrik's grip on the steering wheel tightens and without taking his eyes off the road he answers her question
"What didn't they do to me? My 'sister' was always trying to control my life and act like I didn't have a say in anything at all, Damon would always threaten me and just snap my neck whenever he wanted to.."
Alice could see the anger in Henrik's eyes as a small yellow glow shined from his eyes but he took a deep breath and calmed himself down
"They all acted like I couldn't handle myself with the supernatural but then I got the Hunter's Curse and now suddenly everyone stops treating me like a child.."
It really pissed him off knowing that he had gone through the same pain as Elena if not more than her and no one dared to consult him about his pain or trauma; it was all about Elena and never about him
"Then it turns out the whole reason why I worked to get the cure, Elena now doesn't want it..she's changed but she's not my problem anymore.."
He had this look of absolute relief wash over him..it was like this weight had been taken off of his shoulders and now replaced by something better than he could describe
As for Alice; she couldn't believe that Henrik had gone through that kind of torment..until recently they needed him, growing up with Henrik back in the village he proved himself time and time again and each time she saw how his siblings felt proud of what he would accomplish
If he didn't want anything to do with Elena or anyone else here in Mystic Falls then she understand why; Henrik glances at his rear view window and looks around making sure no one is watching them as he turns to Alice
"I think I should stop the car here, the mansion isn't that far from where we are..we just need to be careful"
Alice nodded her head understanding as he pulled the car into somewhere they'd remember and both step out as Alice walked over to the trunk and opened as she pulled out a backpack filled with clothes; Henrik hid behind a tree as Alice could hear him groaning and shifting into his werewolf form
A few seconds passed by as Henrik stepped out in his large russet werewolf form and walked over to Alice, he kneeled down a bit for to climb aboard his back; the thousand year old witch put the backpack on and carefully got on Henrik's back
She practically hung onto him for dear life as Henrik ran in the direction of the luminous Mikealson mansion that was across the woods at extraordinary speeds; it all felt like a blur to her seeing everything whoosh past them
She felt the wind brushing against her skin and her luscious long blonde hair being pushed back by the wind, if anything Alice hoped--prayed that Henrik made the right decision choosing to tell Rebekah first instead of Elijah or Niklaus
