"Linnea." I will punch someone if they keep trying to wake me up early.
"Linnea." He says softer shaking my shoulder lightly. "Wake up, I made you food." He's too kind for this world.
I snuggle deeper into the sheets.
He sets something down on the nightstand and climbs into the bed attacking me with kisses causing me to erupt with laughter.
I hold his face in my hands gently. "Thank you Warren, I love you." I kiss his check quickly.
"I love you. I love you." He repeats kissing my forehead and then both my cheeks. "Alright let's go Sunshine before it gets cold. I planned a few things for today." It's the little things he always does for me, well for one he knows the sidewalk rule, a very important rule ladies.
But it's so much more than that, the way he looks at me or when he breaks too hard he reaches his arm out in front of me to prevent me from going forward.
How he remembers my order for practically every restaurant is more than I could ever ask for.
He hands me the tray of beautifully plated breakfast with the cutest smile on his face, his green eyes glowing in the sun.
I've never had this much breakfast before, pancakes, eggs, hash browns, the whole circus.
"Oh my gosh, this looks amazing, Warren." I don't waste a second digging in, shoving my face with all the food.
I'm in heaven.
I'm mid-bite when I look up to see Warren staring at me. "What?"
"I think I just fell in love all over again." He says with a lovesick look in his eyes with his hands in the pockets of his hoodie.
I would say something but I just shoved more food in my mouth so I just blew him a kiss which he returned. "Hurry up now so I can take you somewhere."
I give him two thumbs up.
Once I'm finished eating I bring the dishes downstairs and start washing them but get abruptly cut off by Caden who insists on doing the dishes as he's already cleaning up around the house, I don't know him very well but he seems like a nice guy.
I thank him and go back upstairs to get ready for whatever Warren has planned.
I pick up my hairbrush from the bathroom and start brushing through my hair for a few minutes.
I finish getting ready then find Warren to let him know I'm ready to go. I hand him his car keys as we walk out the front door.
Obviously, we blast Taylor Swift on the way there, wherever it is we are going. His palm rests on my thigh and I get butterflies every time he slightly moves his thumb.
"Can you turn the heat on please?"
"Are you cold?" He asks to pull into the parking lot. I nod my head. The second I nod he pulls his sweatshirt off his head, tossing it into my lap. I pick it up and pull it over my head.
"Thanks," I say as the thing is practically drowning me. I hop out of the car and see we are at a dress place.
I give Warren a questioning look.
"What? The dance is tomorrow lets go." I was planning on just wearing an old random dress I had but there's no way in hell I can afford one right now.
"Warren, I can't." He slightly tilts his head with a confused look.
"Can't what?" He turns to me. Oh screw it I will just spend a couple hundred and then pick up an extra shift at the library, he seems like he really planned this out.
"Nothing let go." I grab his hand as he leads us inside. As soon as I walk in the doors I have never seen so many pretty dresses in one place. I'm in awe as we make our way through the entrance.
"Hello there you too! I'm Mina and I will be helping you today to pick out a lovely dress Mr. Reid here says you are super excited so let's get started." Her chipper voice startles me, I give Warren an unamused look to which he just shrugs and smiles.
"Yes, thank you so much. I will just look around for a bit." She nods and skips off to help other customers.
"You set this all up?" I look up at him.
"Maybe." He smiles at me. "Now come on, let's go pick out a dress."
I walk out of the dressing room and Warren glances up from his phone. Neither of us says anything for a solid minute. He doesn't say anything, this dress is so ugly but I don't say anything waiting for his reaction.
I can't hold it in anymore and burst out laughing the same time he does. "Um, that is definitely interesting." I bend over at the waist laughing so hard my face is probably so red. It's a baby blue dress with flowers all over now it sounds like it may be cute but it's truly horrendous.
"Yeah no."
I try on about 7 more dresses, at this point, I'm ready to throw on a trash bag and go home.
The last dress I had pulled was a tight-fitting champagne color one, so I decided to just put it on and get it over with. I turn to look at myself in the mirror and my jaw drops.
I feel hot.
I love it, I usually don't like how I look in dresses but this one I can say I look good in.
I love it so much. "Mina?" I call out in the nicest way possible.
"Yes honey?" she pokes her head through the door. "Ay cariño (oh dear), you look beautiful." I thank her with a small smile. "What can I do for you?"
"I was just wondering how much this was. I don't see a tag on it." I feel around the dress to see if I missed it.
"Mr. Reid said he would take care of the cost." Damnit Reid.
"Oh, thank you so much." She smiles and nods leaving the dressing room. I looked at myself once more before leaving the room and walking over to where Warren was sitting.
I let out a shaky breath. He looks up from his phone once more and drops his phone.
Oh boy.
His grip on the armrest tightened.
He looks at my face then makes his way down my body and I shiver slightly.
He doesn't say a word, his mouth hangs wide open, jaws on the floor. "Linnea?"
"Hmm?" I tilt my head slightly.
"You Linnea, are so gorgeous, so beautiful, so pretty. God, you are everything. Do you know that?" I think my legs might give out from under me. I stay silent. "Sunshine?" I look at him once more. "Do you know that?" I nod.
"Words, sunshine."
"Yes." I breathe out.
"Good. Now let's go so I can take that dress off of you faster than you could ever imagine." I have never grabbed my shoes and phone faster in my life.
