SONG OF THE CHAPTER: Digital Silence - Peter McPoland
"Aw, junior, you're gonna break your old man's heart." Tony sarcastically responded to Ultron's comment.
Y/n stood with Thor, Steve, and Tony. Bruce was still on the ship in case of medical needs or a code green. Natasha had split up with Clint.
"If I have to."
"Nobody has to break anything."
"Clearly you've never made an omelette."
"He beat me by one second."
"Ah, it's funny, Mr stark. It's what, comfortable?" Pietro began, hinting towards the bombs that were beneath the bridge they were standing on. "Like old times?"
"This was never my life."
"You two can still walk away from this."
"Oh we will," Wanda responded.
"I know you've suffered."
Ultron pretends to gag. "Haha Captain America, God's righteous man, pretending you could live without a war. I can't physically throw up in my mouth but-"
"If you believe in peace, let us keep it."
"I think you're confusing peace with quiet." Ultron walked towards them.
"Mhm, yeah. What's the vibranium for?"
"I'm glad you asked that because I wanted to take this time to explain my evil plan."
Tony and Ultron broke into a fight causing everyone else to begin too.

"Thor, status?"
"The girl tried to warp my mind, I doubt a human could keep her at bay. Fortunately, I am mighty-"
Y/n could see from the corner of her eye that her team was slowly losing to the witch. But seeing Natasha have her mind warped, broke her heart.
"Nat!" She tried to run over to the assassin but she could sense the witch was coming to her next.
"You bitch! I'll kill you!"
Wanda turned the corner, hoping to surprise Y/n, but it didn't work. It only lead her to be tackled against the floor with her arms trapped and a knife against her throat.
"I know where you come from, Wanda. Don't think you're any different. You traded one bad boss for another. And now you work for a robot, created by Stark, that wants to destroy the world. I suggest you leave forever before I kill one of you fuckers." She said pressing down on the knife.
Stygian could feel Pietro's presence on its way, so she prepared herself.
"Y/n! Don't do anything you'll regret! The team is down."
Y/n elected to ignore this and once Pietro got close enough, she raised her knife and stabbed him in the stomach.
"Don't hurt my brother!" Wanda shouted and used her magic against Stygian.
"Fuck!"

Natasha's pov:
An eerie silence was all that filled the air. I was on a staircase but it was familiar. I'd recognise the tile on the floor any day of the week. I was back in the red room.
Making my way down the stairs, suddenly the silence wasn't the only thing that could be heard. Shrieks and cries of children in the rooms near. But there were also the sounds of guns; cries of pain; sounds of fighting; sounds of punishment; sounds of broken bones. All these noises swarmed my head beginning to make me nauseous.
Then, a familiar figure could be seen, spectating a class through the broad, half-wooden half-glass doors.
"You're late." The tall elder-looking woman spoke in a stern voice.
I knew not to speak up because that would only get me further punishment.
"Do you know what you get if you're late?"
"Punishment," I said, immediately dreading what was about to come.
"Yes. Now go."
I knew immediately where to go.
When I reached the door one of the guards let me in.
As soon as I stepped foot into the room I was handcuffed and thrown against a wall. When I tried to push myself away from the guard he came closer throwing punches left and right. Each caused a tonne of pain, making me suffer even more. Then, he had his hand pressed against my throat causing me to lose my breath. When I was close to passing out, he dropped me and left.

No longer Natasha's pov
The team had been crushed. The Avengers had managed to take down the chitari but were defeated by a robot and two punks.
Clint had carried Nat whilst Steve had guided Y/n to the ship. The archer had let the two girls rest against each other whilst he sat in the cockpit of the jet.
Everyone was shaken.

Y/n's pov:
"What do you know?" Strucker shouted.
"I told you I know nothing!" I cried.
Strucker walked over to the dreaded table. He took a knife and brought it over to me. Slowly dragging its flat side down my face he gave me an evil grin.
"This is what happens when you don't tell us the truth."
I was terrified and shaking, I couldn't bring myself to speak. Instead, I let him slowly carve away at my skin.
When he throws me I end up on my stomach, on the floor, revealing my bare back. He took the knife and brought it to my back, placing the blade directly on it, and beginning to carve a deep cut down half of my bag. I screamed and cried out in pain but he didn't stop.
"Get up!" The man shouted
I tried my hardest to stand but it felt impossible.
"You heard me! Stand! Or are you weak and pathetic?"
I finally managed to stand up and looked him dead in the eyes. My back bled rapidly as I could feel it pour.
"Fight him." He said, pointing to the man who stood ominously in the corner. He had a metal arm with a red star. His mask covered his mouth and nose; his hair covered his eyes.
I couldn't say anything back and my vision was deteriorating. The other soldier stepped towards me, but within seconds, I collapsed.
The next thing I know I'd been wrapped in a bandage and sat in a hospital chair.
"Pathetic, useless, good for nothing, Stygian. You've finally woken up. It was about time."
I wanted to speak but realised they had tied a mask around my mouth.
Screaming and crying I tried to break free but they had tied me down.
It was no use.
