Following my injury my mum was one of my biggest helps even tho I had told her many times that the injury's weren't even that bad she still came round to my apartment the day I got back to make sure I was ok and that I had everything I needed
For a long time my mum hated the fact I played football she thought it was too rough and because of that whenever I had a match she wouldn't come watch because she didn't want to see me get hurt or possibly hurt anyone else which I understood but sometimes I longed for the support of my family at a match,
Currently I was sat in my apartment it had been 2 days after the match and my mom had left my apartment a short while ago and tomorrow was practice I obviously wasn't allowed to participate but I was still going to go so I could see what my team were doing and to be supportive but I couldn't ignore the uneasy feeling i had the thought of just sitting around and not being able to really do anything made me nervous
But It had also seemed as though the news of my injury had traveled over to Spain I had revived many texts from the girls back in Barca hoping that I was ok and that they felt bad I had gotten injured but alexia was the only one to actually call it was the middle of the night the day after the match and I had received a call from her we talked for around an hour maybe more about my injury but also how each other were doing generally, I didn't know why but speaking to alexia made me feel as though I was being disloyal to Leah
While Leah hadn't really ever asked about mine and alexia's past 'relationship' it was an unspoken thing that if she was around her or if I talked about her there would be an awkward tension surrounding the subject which I understood and me speaking with what is basically considered my ex made me feel bad but alexia was one of my best friends despite are history which just made things a little difficult so I wasn't sure if I was going to tell Leah about the phone call

It was now the morning Leah was currently treating me as though I was the most injured person to ever exist she had text me at 6am to tell she was gonna pick me up for practice and then rang me at 7:45 to make sure I had gotten her text, i was planning on asking my mum to take me as I wasn't really able to drive with my ankle injury but telling Leah no wasn't really something that she was accustomed to so as of right now I was waiting for another call or text of Leah to tell me she was close by or already here
I sat on my sofa scrolling through my social media's when a text came through from Leah telling me she was here and if I wanted her to come up to my apartment to help me come down, I rolled my eyes at the text I didn't even need to use crutches I was perfectly capable to walk places but in the time it took me to open the text and prepare to respond there was a knock on the door
I stood up and walked over to my door to open it to see the blonde was stood there with a silly little smile on her face
"You didn't reply fast enough so I decided to come up anyway" she said
"Yea right you were probably already up and out your car before you even sent the text" i laughed opening the door so she could come in
"What can I say I'm in a helping mood" she said walking into my apartment
"Wanna give me a piggy back ride" I said partially joking but also wanting to see how much she actually would be willing to 'help'
"A piggy back ride" She said looking at me a little dumbfounded by the question
"I mean you did say you were in a helping mood" I laughed thinking she was about to say no to my request
"Fine" she said turning around, I giggled at the blonde I didn't actually think she was gonna say yes but never the less I walked over to her and got on her back wrapping my legs around her waist
I couldn't stop laughing at the stupidness of the situation as Leah walked back to the door and opened it walking out and closing it walking back to her car
I hoped of Leah's back when we were at Leah's car and slid into the passenger seat me and Leah small talked and talked about how the day was gonna go at practice when the phone call with alexia came into my head I didn't know why I did but I felt as though I needed to let Leah know
"It's kinda funny how fast the news spread about my injury the girls back in Spain all got in touch you know seeing if I'm ok and stuff" I said
"It's nice that there still there for you and find the time to text even though you're back in England" she replied
"Yea it is and a few called as well you know alexia and that" I said trying to be as nonchalant as possible
At the name drop of alexia, Leah took a deep breath and let out a small sigh, looking at Leah and seeing the new soured expression that was on her face made me regret bringing it up
The rest of the drive was pretty much in silence except for the radio coming through I didn't like when Leah was like this I knew bringing up alexia wasn't a good idea but I needed the weight to be lifted off my shoulders but now Leah was definitely not in the best of moods
When we got to the grounds and Leah parked up I debated asking Leah if she was ok but I didn't want to prolong the thought of alexia in her head so I decided against it and got out of the car
"Want a piggy back inside or do you think your walking skills are up to standard" she said definitely lighthearted but I wasn't about to pass the offer
I walked over to her with my hands out as she turned around
"This is going to be so humiliating" she sighed walking with me in her back
"Well you offered" I replied
We walked into the training grounds and to be honest I was looking forward to seeing the girls reactions
Walking into the changing rooms no one seemed to be around meaning they were all probably in the gym so Leah just set down her bag and left the changing room walking towards the gym
"Are you really going to make me carry you into the gym" Leah giggled
"Yep" I smiled
As the blonde opened the door most of the girls where exercising and keeping busy but I still managed to lock eyes with Katie who grinned extremely amused
"Oh come on you are milking it now" Katie laughed seeing me on Leah's back grabbing some of the others girls attention which also caused them to laugh to themselves
"What can I say I'm an injured girl" I grinned hoping off Leah's back and sitting next to the Irish girl
"I'm happy for you bell, use her for all she's worth" she grinned playfully nudging Leah with her foot
Leah couldn't help but smile at the Irish girls words
"What can I say I am just the best girlfriend to walk the earth" she said playfully, walking over to Rafa to join her working out
I rolled my eyes at the comment from the blonde but whenever she referred to herself as my girlfriend I couldn't deny the fuzzy feeling that I felt in my stomach
"You two are so in love it's gross" Katie said jokingly acting disgusted
"Shut up your the one that so desperately wanted us to get together" I laughed
"What can I say I am quite the matchmaker"

The day had gone pretty smoothly it was nice being around my friends even though I couldn't actually train, Katie had tried to get me to tryout some running but Leah had objected to that faster then I did claiming that she didn't want to be on piggy back duty for longer than she needed to be
I had been to the physio he checked on my ankle and wrist and had told me that I wasn't cleared for our last two games of the season which made me sad but I understood that it wasn't worth probably further injuring my self but I felt as though what good was I to my team if I wasn't playing
I had walked (well limped) back to the gym with a glum expression on my face which they had noticed they pep talked me saying that it wasn't worth being out for longer than needed as an important asset to the team which gave me some piece of mind
Practice ended shortly after and me and Leah made are way back to her car and got in
"Stay at mine tonight" Leah said sort of out of the blue "it would make me feel better if you did"
"Lee I'm not dying" I giggled
"I know I know but making sure your ok just makes me feel better"
"Awwww" I said playfully nudging her with my elbow
"Stopppp" she dragged out with a smile on her face
"What I like caring Leah" I smiled "you know if the whole football thing doesn't work out you'd be a pretty good nurse"
"Nurse Leah, has a ring to it" she laughed softly pulling out of the car park
"Yea it does" I laughed as well, feeling content with the newly found quietness that filled the car there was no denying that I loved the girl sitting beside me but just how to tell her
