Saira sat alone in her room, staring at the wall, her thoughts consumed her as she made sounds of helplessness. She had been feeling this way for weeks, but she couldn't bring herself to tell anyone about it. She felt like a burden to her friends and didn't want to burden them with her problems.
Suddenly, there was a knock on her door.
"Hey, Saira, it's Leah. Can I come in?" her best friend's voice came from the other side.
Saira hesitated for a moment before finally answering, "Sure, come in."
Leah walked into the room and saw the look on Saira's face.
"Hey, what's going on? You've been so quiet lately," Leah said, trying to sound cheerful.
Saira looked away, not wanting to make eye contact with her friend. "Nothing, I'm fine," she muttered, not wanting to burden Leah with her problems.
Leah wasn't convinced.
"Saira, I know you're not okay. You're always so bubbly and talkative, and lately, you've been acting differently. Please tell me what's wrong."
Saira took a deep breath before finally opening up to her friend.
"I don't know what's wrong with me. I've been feeling so anxious and worried about everything. I don't want to burden anyone with my problems, so I've been keeping it all to myself."
Leah put her arm around Saira and pulled her in for a hug.
"You're not a burden, Saira. You're my friend, and I want to help you. Let's talk about what's going on and figure out a way to help you feel better."
Saira felt a weight lifted off her shoulders as she talked to Leah about her worries. Leah listened attentively, offering words of encouragement and support.
As they sat together, Saira realized how much she had missed Leah's touch. Her heart was beating faster, and she couldn't resist leaning in for a kiss. Leah was surprised but didn't resist as Saira kissed her softly on the lips.
After their kiss, Saira felt a new sense of calm. She knew that she still had some work to do to overcome her anxiety, but with Leah's help and support, she felt like she could handle anything that came her way.
"Thank you, Leah. I don't know what I'd do without you," Saira said, feeling grateful for her friend's unwavering support and for the new depth in their relationship.
Leah smiled.
"That's what friends are for. We're in this together, no matter what," she said, leaning in for another kiss.
