ri had just got off an hour long facetime with george, she was sat in her bunk due to everyone else being around the bus
she had to end the facetime because of the fact that they had just pulled up at the venue
since she woke up that morning she felt like she needed to be sick. at the minute it wasnt too bad and she had blamed it on all of the travelling and being on the bus so she figured the sooner she could get off the bus the better, and plus facetiming george seemed to take her mind off it
she continued her day as normal going through soundcheck and getting ready all whilst still feeling ill. she noticed it starting to become more and more apparent throughout the day but she was trying to ignore it the best she could.
the timetable of the day had been switched around for this show. iris had been told she was going to go on before the triplets, usually for the past few shows it had been the triplets meet and greet and then their q&a and then ri would go on but due to reasons ri didnt know they had to switch it around, which was fine by her figuring the sooner she could perform hopefully it would take her mind off feeling like she could throw up any minute
iris had been on stage for 30 minutes and only had 15 minutes left which she was silently hoping would arrive fast
everyone could tell ri didnt feel well. she sang through the last 15 minutes of her set before walking off stage and was now hugging matt after already hugging chris and nick and telling clem and lia good job
"are you okay" matt asked worried about iris
"erm yeah" iris said quietly as she looked around not really wanting all the crew to know due to her being a suffer in silence type of person
"come with me quick" matt said noticing the girl not feeling comfortable around other people and grabbing her hand to walk down the hallway to the greenroom
"matt where the hell are you going? we have to go on in 5" nick said as he saw matt walking away from backstage where they were planned to go on stage in 5 minutes
"ill be back in 2 minutes hold on" he shouted back as they entered the greenroom which had nobody in due to everyone waiting for the triplets to go on
"i feel so sick and tired" iris said as matt hugged her. she felt the tears welling up from the exhaustion she was feeling and the fact she felt like she might throw up all day long
"why are u crying ri ur okay" matt said softly as he hugged her tighter not wanting the girl to cry
"i just feel bad because i know i wasnt like interacting with them" she said trying to contain her emotions
"ri they loved it, you did ur full set and u sounded amazing u have nothing to worry about, if anything they will be worried for you" matt said consoling ri
iris sighed and hugged him tighter knowing he would have to go on stage any minute now
"are u going to stay and watch or go to the bus" matt said wondering what she would do whilst they are on stage
"i wanna watch so ill probably watch and i dont want to be in the bus by myself" iris said quietly still taking in the moment of peace that had as they stared at eachother
"okay just like signal if ur going to go to the bus" matt said wanting to make sure the girl was okay throughout their q&a
"matt u gotta go" laura said through the door softly knowing she didnt need to shout at him for him to know
"okay lets go" iris said as she wiped away her tears calming down
they walked out of the green room and towards the rest of the group
"okay we need to go on right now" nick said stressed as matt got closer to them not having a chance to do anything before they stepped onto stage and started the q&a
"are u okay" lia asked hugging iris as clem also looked at her with worry
"yeah i just feel sick and im exhausted" she sighed as she hugged lia back before they released and stood together
"why dont u go to the bus and sleep" lia said wanting iris to feel better
"i dont wanna be in there alone and i wanna watch them ill feel bad otherwise" iris replied
"ill go to the bus with u if u want, i want to facetime indy anyways" lia said remembering she had told indy that she could facetime later on
"if ur going then yeah but i dont want u to go just because i dont want to be alone" iris said feeling bad
"ri its okay i want to have a chill night anyways so its cool" lia said assuringly
"okay, clem are u coming" iris said smiling over towards her other bestfriend who was watching the triplets
during that time matt looked over to the side stage and ri gave him a look to say shes going back to the bus in which he smiled and nodded softly before turning back to his brothers and continuing
"im gonna stay here and watch, i doubt they will be too long anyways ill let them know u guys went back to the bus" clem replied as she hugged iris saying goodbye before watching her and lia walk down the corridor as she turned back to watch the triplets from side stage
lia and iris just got into the bus and as expect there was nobody in there
"do u want a cup of tea ri" lia said from the kitchen as iris was in the backroom getting changed after just having a shower on the bus
"no thank you" iris shouted back knowing it would just upset her stomach more than it was even if it was her favourite drink.
they had taken two boxes of tea bags with them to america knowing that the ones they would find there wouldnt be the same as the ones back home and they had specifically only been having teas towards the end of their time in la wanting to keep them for on the road
iris had changed into one of her dads pleasing jumpers that he gave to her before she left for la and some pyjama shorts. she was missing him and was ill so at that point she just wanted comfort
it was now 30 minutes later and iris was asleep in her bunk, lia was sat in the living room area of the bus as the triplets and madi walked in
they all said hi to lia and indy who was on the phone. matt quickly dibs the shower as nick, chris, clem and madi all joined lia in the living room and chilled until matt got out of the shower
the door that seperated the living room to the bunks was shut due to lia telling matt to shut it behind him because iris was sleeping so when matt had finished his shower and stepped out of the bathroom it was only him and ri in the bunk area where the bathroom lead out to
he had changed into a pair of pyjama pants and a black shirt before walking over to ri's bunk
"riri" matt whispered trying to wake the girl up
"hi" iris said as she opened her eyes squinting at the brightness of the light now that her bunk curtain had been pulled back
matt climbed into her bunk which is something they had been doing since night two of tour. they always ended up with eachother whether that was in the middle of the night or if they went to bed like it
iris scooted over to the back on the bunk as much as she could letting matt onto the bunk still with her eyes shut trying to preserve the most sleep she could
he got himself sorted as he moved iris so she was literally laying on top of his body, he didnt care tho he just wanted ri to be comfortable
"are u comfy" he said softly as he stroked her hair
"yeah but if i throw up on you dont get mad" iris said jokingly, her stomach had since calmed down from earlier she was still trying to figure out what made her ill but right now all she wanted to do was sleep
matt laughed at the girl before they both went to sleep ready to wake up for the next show tomorrow
