After a day of check ups I was finally released from the hospital,
My mum and dad were on a other trip so thankfully they wouldn't find out what happened,
Mom would be worried and dad would somehow find a way to blame everything on me,
Which I can't be bothered to deal with..
I walk into the kitchen still wondering my thoughts,
I grab a slice of leftover pizza, kinda gross to be honest,
I lean on the counter as I stare at the coffee machine opposite me,
I've been surprised as I haven't been in the mood to make myself a coffee for the last two days,
Which is unusual as I is usually can't live without it.
Speaking of coffee, I have to be at the coffee shop, in half an hour.
Oh shit oh shit.
Im running late, I begin to panic and think of every worst case scenario, that can lead out, if I'm late.
I lock my front door and begin speed walking in the direction of the cafe,
Wait did I lock the front door?
I think to myself
Shit I can't remember,
OH GOD,
WHAT IF SOMEONE ROBS US?!
I begin to sweat a little at the thought,
Lost in my thoughts I didn't see a car hurtling towards me,
"AGH" I scream as the car manages to stop just in time,
(Haha creek angst :,)
The old woman in the car gave me a dirty look before driving of,
Oh god..
She's hates me.
She's going to tell everyone about the kid that wasn't paying attention,
"Hey watch it kid!" A man screams at me swerving around me on his bike,
Oh god I almost killed him,
What if he fell in the road and got hit by a car!?
Oh god I need to sit down,
I begin pulling at my hair, before reaching the cafe.
Craig still wasn't here so I had time to regain my composure,
It's ok Tweek..
I tell myself, think of puppy's,
They calm me down.
I inhale and exhale,
I continue this for god knows how long
"Um.. Tweek?" I hear the familiar voice speak.
"Agh hi!" I speak trying to sound stable, and as if I'm not having a breakdown right now.
"Are you okay?" He looks at me with a raised eyebrow,
I smile and nod,
I'm a good actor so I think he believed me..
"So what am I going to help with?" Craig asks with an intrigued tone,
I chuckle "you've just got to be a waiter, I'll make the drinks and you bring them and clean the tables, is that ok?"
Craig smiles "perfect"
The first few customers that came In either asked for the popular muffins, or the glass smoothies we had in the fridge,
So it was pretty simple for both Craig and I, as he didn't have to bring much stuff over and I didn't have to make any drinks.
After 20 minutes a regular came in,
She was an elegant looking older woman, who is super sweet.
"The regular?" I smile at her,
She nods,
"Oh you know me to well darling"
She hands me the money and I give her change,
Turning around to begin making the drink,
She usually has a Toffee cappuccino,
I stare at the coffee labels, slightly confused,
"Um.."
I think I have to start with milk?
Wait, do I?
I'm so confused.
I stare at all the products, feeling slightly overwhelmed,
I don't know what's happening I've completely forgot how to make any sort of coffee,
I know it sounds stupid and kind of ironic,
But I'm serious, I begin tugging at my hair.
Craig's Pov
I'm currently sweeping the floor, when I notice Tweek has just been staring at the products for a minute now,
I watch him carefully he begins to raise his hands and pull at the ends of his hair,
I place the broom in the corner and speed walk over to him behind the counter.
"Tweek? What's wrong?"
He looks at me, his eyes slightly watery and whispers,
"Craig. I don't know.. Agh I forgot.. Gah how to make Coffee"
I stare at him slightly confused, how can one forget how to make a drink they've been making since 8?
I think to myself,
Oh shit.
"Tweek.. The doctor he said you'd suffer from intellectual problems you've forgot how to make coffee.."
Tweek looks at me, his face filled with concern,
"No no AGh Craig! I can't Gah forget..it's my Agh job I need to know how!"
His twitches are getting worst, he's getting overwhelmed,
"Do you remember anything at all?" I ask him,
He shakes his head, his eyes still watering,
"That's okay Tweek, I'll just let This lady know, then we'll figure everything out okay?"
Tweek nods,
I walk over to the woman,
Before I could speak she talks first,
"I couldn't help but overhear your conversation honey..I'm sorry for him" she nods towards Tweek,
I half smile
"I'll look after him, would you like a refund?"
"Well I think I can help you out, if the poor boy can't remember, you should learn so you can teach him again, I'll be the first you can practice on." She smiles at me as she gestures towards the counter,
I mean I didn't really get a choice in this, but I'm not about to scare of Tweek customers, plus she doesn't mean any harm.
"I'll walk you through the steps, I've watched him every day make my drink, so I pretty much no step from step"
I nod,
Fun fact I hate coffee, so I've never made it in my life, and from the sounds of it it's complicated.
"So you pour two shots of that milk into the metal jug there"
I nod and follow her lead,
"Now place the jug under the tip of that steamer"
It takes me two seconds to figure out what part of the machine to use but I finally got it,
"Now wait until it gets warmer and the right texture, like foam"
I watch carefully, looks foamy to me I pull it out,
"Now leave that milk for now, you see that coffee powder, place some into that tamper, and attach it to the machine"
I struggle to find the tamper, The woman points at it and I grab it and follow her instructions.
"Now place a shot glass under it, and turn the dial so the hot water comes out until it fills the glass"
Once again I do this until it's full,
"Now place it into the cup and pump two pumps of toffee flavouring and then stir, now give the milk jug a light tap on the counter and then pour it in."
(Don't come for me if that's wrong, I'm m not a coffee maker 😭)
I follow all the steps and smile at the first ever coffee I made, I feel kind of proud of myself.
I pass her the drink,
She smiles
"Well done dear now go check on your boyfriend, he seemed like he was panicking"
I smile and decide to ignore her comment as I walk into the employees bit only,
"Tweek.."
