I'm Allie, Allie Clarke, I'm 16 years old, and yes my mom named after the girl from that movie, the notebook, one of the most famous romance movies of all time you could say.

My parents got divorced when I was younger, and it's never been the same since. My mom remarried and had two more children with her new husband Matt Johnson, but I always felt like an outsider in that new family dynamic.

My relationship with my mom has always been rocky. We don't see eye to eye on anything. And my stepfather is nice enough, but we just don't talk that much.

Sometimes, I wish my dad was around more. He's always busy with work, and I only get to see him a few times a month. But at least he listens to me and tries to understand what I'm going through. It's hard feeling like you're the odd one out in your own family.

I tried to distract myself by going to the fields and read. That's my escape from reality, but sometimes I wonder if I'm just running away from my problems. I wished I had someone to talk to, someone who could understand me and make me feel less alone.

Well that changed ever since I met him..

I was born in London, England, I moved to Bakewell, UK, when I was 6.

My moms name is Caroline Moore and my dad is Adam Clarke, I have two siblings Matthew and Zoey.

I go to a private school called St. Charleston. I don't really have that many friends. I've always been a loner. I don't get along with most of my classmates, except my best friend, Maeve Anderson. Maeve has been my best friend since we were seven. I spend a lot of time with her and her family. Her mother is like a second mom to me.

"Breakfast is ready" yelled mom

Today was the first day of 11th grade. I wasn't excited, but I was going to give my best try to make it a good day.

I headed downstairs, grabbed a cup of coffee and some biscuits.

"I'm leaving" i yelled while shutting the front door

As I walked out the cool breeze of autumn brushed into my face, leaves were falling from every tree, leaves with all different colors, green, yellow, orange, red and a lot more. Fall is one of my favorite seasons of the year, especially here Bakewell.

My house is a bit far from the town, but I like to walk, and on the way I can admire the meadows, the forest, the wild horses, and almost reaching the town there is a very beautiful bridge where the river runs towards the town

And every morning when i get to town i go into miss phyllis bakery and get some strawberry tarts for me and Maeve, miss phyllis is a really nice lady, she's always been really good to me and Maeve.

"Hi miss phyllis, how are you?" i asked her

"Hey sweetie, I'm well thank you, do you want the usual?" she asked

"Yes please" i said

"Good morning Allie, Good morning miss Phyllis" said Maeve while walking into the Bakery

"Here is your tart" I said to Maeve while giving it to her.

"Hurry up we're going to be late" said Maive while looking at her phone

We walked out of the bakery and headed to school. The rell had just rang when we got there. We walked through the hallway to get to our first class, History , with Professor Max Webber, he was one of my favorite teachers.

"Good morning students" said Professor Max as he entered the class, everyone sat down and paid attention.

"You know, history is not just a collection of facts and figures," continued Mr. Webber. "It's a story of human triumphs and tragedies, of people who fought for their beliefs and made sacrifices for the greater good. It's a story of our ancestors, who paved the way for us to live in the world we have today."

The class listened intently, captivated by Mr. Webber 's words.

"But history is not just about the past," he added. "It's about the present and the future as well. It's about understanding where we come from and where we're headed. It's about making informed decisions and learning from the mistakes of our predecessors."

"So, let's embrace the study of history," concluded Mr. Webber. "Let's delve into the stories of our past and see how they shape our present and future. Let's learn from our history and make a better world for ourselves and future generations."

I liked how Mr. Webber had a passion for history, his classes were always interesting

The teacher looked at the door and said

"Class, today we have a new student, his name is Luke Houser" said the teacher while inviting Luke in.

He is tall, with dark hair, thick black eyebrows and his eyes are meadow green.

Luke sat down two sets behind in the row next to me. Maeve looked at me with a smile on her face.

"he looks dreamy" she whispered

I was more interested in Professor Webber's class that I didn't even pay attention to him like Maeve did.

*Few hour later* the bell rang

"Okay, class dismissed" said mr Webber

Maeve and I headed to the cafeteria and waited in line for our food.

"Allie, save me a seat i'm gonna go talk to Ruby" said Maeve

I grabbed my lunch and sat down at one of the empty tables, I saw Maeve rushing to where I was.

"HE COMES FROM THE HOUSER FAMILY" Yelled Maeve realizing everyone was staring at her.

I look at her confused and embarrassed.

"Who?" i asked her

"Luke, Luke Houser" said Maeve while breathing heavily.

"Yeah, i figured, since his last name is clearly Houser" i said

"No stupid, THE Houser's, they own most of Bakewell, they are one of the richest families, they just moved here, he used to live in London, Oh and he has two sisters and one brother, maybe his brother is as cute as him.

"Okay weird, how do you know so much about him?" i asked confused

"Ruby told me" she said happily

"Later that day"

School had just finished, the whole class, Maeve and ruby kept talking about the new boy. I was a bit tired, but I didn't want to get home right away, so I walked to the field close to the river. I have a spot beneath a big beautiful tree. I sat down and started reading a book.

I heard someone was there, my heart started beating faster. I put the book down and looked at the other side of the tree, it was Luke, he was laying against the tree with his eyes shut.

"Sorry to bother, i just wanted to lay here for a while, its a relaxing spot" said luke while tuning to were i was

"umm, no that's okay, dont mind me" i said

He looked at me and then went back to laying on the tree with his eyes sut.

"Interesting book" said Luke

"you've read the great Gatsby" i asked curious

"once, but im not big on romance" he said

"what are you big on?" i asked

"i dont know, i read about all different things" he said

"Well thats nice" i said

"yeah, i guess" he said while shutting his eyes.

"Do you like Shakespeare?" he asked

"yes, i do, but i havent read many of his book, i would love to read them all" i said

"That's lovely" said luke

"well, i have to go" i said while picking up my things. "Bye" i applied

I gathered my belongings, preparing to leave my serene spot by the tree. As I turned to say my goodbyes, Luke opened his eyes and smiled warmly at me.

"Bye, Allie," he replied, and his green eyes met mine once again. I noticed a sense of mystery in those eyes, as if there was more to him than met the eye.

I offered a small smile in return, feeling a connection I hadn't expected. "See you around," I said, then turned to walk back home.

As I made my way through the scenic route back to my house, my thoughts lingered on the encounter with Luke. I couldn't help but wonder what kind of person he was and what brought him to Bakewell. His air of mystery piqued my curiosity.
