"Y/n" Bryce said.
We were currently sitting at my kitchen table coloring and eating apples.
Harper and Jacob had got the stomach virus that was going around at school so it was just Bryce and I.
"Yeah?" I replied as I colored in my horse.
"You know you can't have boyfriends til you're a grown up" he spoke.
I looked up at him as I put my crayon down.
"Well yeah" I said in a duh tone.
"So... if you get a boyfriend then... I have to kick him" he replied.
I rolled my eyes and picked up an apple slice.
"Why" I asked before taking a bite.
"Cause I'm a superhero" he shrugged.
"So?" I snapped.
"So I have to protect you" he said in a duh tone.
I stared at him for a moment before eating the rest of my apple slice.
"Then what's your superhero name"

"When I'm older I want to have like 2 kids" I said.
Jacob was at a basketball game and Harper was at volleyball practice. She said she'd come over after though.
That left me and Bryce alone as we waited for our other friends.
"Why?" He questioned.
"Cause I love kids. I think it'd be cool to have some of my own" I replied.
He paused.
"That means you have to...." He stopped.
"No" he stated.
"Your not doing that" he shook his head as he looked away.
"Oh grow up" I said.
He rolled his eyes as he took a sip from his drink.
"Boys are assholes. You don't need em" he spoke. His voice low.
Now
We drove back to the house and once we got there we all walked in and sat on the couch where Bryce was.
He put his phone down and looked up at us.
I looked at Jacob and he shook his head.
I rolled my eyes and turned back to Bryce.
"We have some news" I said.
He furrowed his eyebrows and sat up a bit.
"So uhm.." I started.
"How would you feel if I had a baby?"I blurted.
His eyes widened a bit and he shifted in his seat.
"Why?" He asked.
"You're pregnant?" He questioned.
"Maybe.." I replied, picking my nails.
He paused and looked at Jacob.
He made the slightest disgusted expression. Small enough that I barely even noticed.
"You got her pregnant" he said. It was less of a question and more of an accusation.
Jacob slowly nodded.
He glanced at me but then looked back at Jacob.
"Congrats" he said.
I saw Jacob relax in the corner of my eye but It wasn't enough for me to believe that he was happy for us.
Harper also relaxed and smiled.
"I'm gonna go watch a movie" she said before getting up.
"I need to go unpack some things" Jacob said before kissing my forehead and walking away.
Once they were both gone I looked back at Bryce who was already looking at me.
"I know your not the happiest about this but it's something I really want" I started.
He looked down.
"And I'd really like your support" I added.
He stared at his hands.
"Im happy for you I just... I don't want something bad to happen to you." He spoke.
"You're like my sister." He added.
"Which makes you an uncle now" I smiled lightly.
A small smile appeared on his face but soon went away.
"It'll be okay, I promise" I assured.
He looked up at me and held his arms out. I scooted closer to him before taking him into a hug.
"Seriously though I am happy for you" he said.
"Im glad" I sighed as we pulled away.
"I honestly was scared to tell you" I added with a chuckle.
"Why?" He questioned.
"Cause you've always been so protective of me and.. well I don't know if you remember but when we were 14 you had said you-"
"Didn't want you to have kids" he interrupted, finishing my sentence.
"Yeah" I chuckled.
"I remember. But I know that it's something you've wanted for a long time now. If it makes you happy then it makes me happy too" he replied.
I smiled before hugging him again.
"Love you bee" he said. He said it so softly I barely heard it.
He's not a big 'I love you' kind of person. When he was a kid he felt weird saying it and I guess it stuck.
So hearing it from him was just so foreign.
"I love you" I replied.
