"Tate, let's go." Nat says as she comes in my room as I'm finishing doing my hair.
"Wait I still need to change." I say as I spray some hairspray as she shakes her head, grabbing my dress.
"You'll have to finish getting ready there, we have to go." She mumbles as I grab my makeup bag and my phone.
We go downstairs and she quickly leaves the house as I look at Pedri laying on the couch, his legs on Gavi as Gavi gives me a look. "Sleeping." He mouths as I go over, kissing Pedri's forehead as Gavi gags. "How gross." He whispers as I flick his ear.
"Watch it." I mumble as he rolls his eyes, and I quickly walk out of the house before Nat yells at me.
It's only a matter of time until she becomes bridezilla. It's inevitable.
"Took you long enough." She scoffs as I put my stuff in the back and I frown. "I'm kidding. I don't want to be a menace today, that's not me."
"We'll see." I shrug as she gives me a look. "Are you nervous?"
She sighs as she begins driving to the venue. "Just a bit, yeah. But coming over definitely did help to ease my nerves, just telling dumb stories and stuff like that." She says as I nod.
"It gives you something else to focus on for a little bit. But now back to the wedding, but it'll be smooth so it's okay." I say as she takes a deep breath.
"Keep me distracted, tell me about you and Pedri." She suggests as I lean my head back against the seat.
"Well it's almost been 4 months, like he said yesterday, and it's been going good." I say simply as She scoffs.
"Do you guys fight?" She questions as I blow out a breath.
"Like a few times, but nothing super serious."
"About what?"
"We threw a party for buying our new house, and Eric brought one of his friends and he tried to kiss me. But he was flirting with me I guess and Isabelle told Pedri about it, so Pedri was trying to find me and he admitted he was looking for me to make sure I wasn't hooking up with Eric's friend." I say as I cross my arms.
"Ouch." She whispers.
"That's not even all of it. So the next day Eric's friend followed me and messaged me on Instagram apologizing for trying to kiss me and calling me a slut, and I told Pedri about it, because communication you know? And he was saying stuff like 'oh I'm surprised you didn't reply to him because the Tate 3 months ago would've.'" I begin as she glances at me, "And then I got mad because I do nothing to give the impression that I'd cheat on him, because I love him with every bone in my body and it just pissed me off that he even considered the fact that I'd cheat on him." I add as she nods.
"What a dick." She scoffs as I raise my eyebrows slightly.
"And then after we argued, Pablo and I went to go get coffee, and the next day Pedri was asking where Pablo and I went, and when I told him coffee he was doubting if that was all we did. And after that I told him I'd sleep in another room and he was all like 'are you going to go sleep with Pablo?' Like what the fuck." I mumble.
"When I asked if you two fight I really thought the answer would be no." She jokes as I begin laughing.
"We never do though. Like that all happened within the past two weeks, everything else is perfect." I suggest as she nods.
"Well that's good at least." She whispers as I smile. "Just know if he ever needs to be slapped, you can call me." She adds.
"You and Isabelle both."
"You two are close, hmm?" She hums as I immediately nod. "How long have they been together?"
"It was like 2 weeks after Pedri and I began dating. But at first Gavi gave her my number so that I could have more friends, which was kind of funny, but we got close really fast. So now she's my best friend and I couldn't be happier that her and G are dating." I say as she smiles.
"I'm glad you got a best friend out of it, you know? That's the bonus of you being in a friend group with all of the guys, you can get close with their girlfriends." She admits as I nod, rubbing my hands on my legs. "And she seems really sweet, you need that you know."
"We're like completely opposite. Gavi and Pedri said that we're a golden retriever and black cat."
She shrugs as she parks, "that's probably why you two get along so well." She says as we get out and I go into the back, grabbing my dress and makeup bag.
"Or she's just my soulmate, but yeah that too." I joke as she rolls her eyes playfully as we go inside.
We go find the room where all of her other bridesmaids are setting up and I set my stuff down as my phone buzzes.

"Tate?" Nat asks as I set my phone down and I spin in my chair as I'm facing her.
"What's up?" I question as she looks at herself in the mirror quickly before turning around.
"Can you go down the hall and give these to Carlos and the groomsmen?" She questions as she hands me 6 boutonnières.
"Yeah of course." I say.
"And help them all pin it too since you know how to do it." She adds as I nod.
"Got it." I say as I walk out of the room, down the hallway to where all of the guys are getting ready. As I'm standing outside the door they're all yelling inside the room, music blaring and I laugh to myself before I knock. Carlos opens the door and he looks down at me as I smile, "some things never change." I joke as he shrugs.
"I was wondering when we'd get these." Carlos says as I hand him his and all of the other guys grab theirs.
"I'm just doing what I can, making sure I don't upset Nat with anything." I shrug as I pin it on him.
"I'm excited." He says as he leans against the wall as I begin pinning the other boutonnières on.
"Well that's good, it only took you 7 years." I say as I look at him briefly.
"You're young, you wouldn't understand." He jokes as I raise my eyebrows.
"Right, of course." I laugh as Seb comes up to me.
"Saved the best for last, hmm?" He hums as I take it from him, pinning it on.
"Worst for last." I correct as he scoffs. "I'm sorry, kidding of course, just playing around." I add as he looks down at me.
"You're the only person to try to insult someone and then feel bad doing it." He says quietly as I shake my head.
"Plenty of people are like that actually." I say as I quickly fix his suit jacket as he's smiling down at me.
"Just you." He whispers as I take a deep breath.
"Okay, you're all set." I say as I go back over to the door.
"Thank you Tate." They all say in unison as I smile, walking out of the room, back down the hall to our room. "All set?" Nat asks as I nod, giving a thumbs up before I go sit back in my seat, beginning my makeup.
After about an hour we were all ready and dressed in our bridesmaid dresses, a full length dark purple a-line chiffon dress, and we wait for Nat to do a dress reveal. None of us have seen it yet, she only brought our mom when she went dress shopping.
My mom and dad each wrap an arm around me as she steps out and I immediately smile, covering my mouth. "Nat, oh my god." I say as I immediately go over to her, giving her a hug.
"Be careful of the dress." My mom mumbles as she comes over, giving Nat a gentle hug.
"It's okay." Nat smiles as she fixes the strap on my dress. "I love you." She whispers as I nod slightly, wiping my eye.
"I love you, I'm so happy for you." I say quietly as she smiles.
"I hate to break this up, but we're in a time crunch." My dad says as he goes over, giving Nat a kiss on the top of her head as people scramble, grabbing bouquets.
My mom hands me mine as we all walk out of the room, going down the hallway by the doors as we meet up with the groomsmen. "You look good." Seb says as I fix his boutonnière and he looks down at me, a smile plastered on his face. "Have you put a lot on? You're good at it."
"Yeah, I've put them on my boyfriend before." I say, emphasizing boyfriend as he raises his eyebrows.
"Pedri." He mumbles as I nod.
"That's the one." I smile as I take a step away from him and he crosses his arms.
"Right." He says as the music begins and he interlocks our arms. "I'll make sure to give him a wink when I'm walking down the aisle with you." He whispers as I stare straight ahead.
"Oh good, can't wait." I mumble.
