You and Jay were in the kitchen, the 2 of you doing 2 very different things. After watching some cooking videos not too long ago, you decided to wake up at 2 am to make cookies, your brother's friend, Jay, was sleeping over and still awake, so out of curiosity he followed you to the kitchen.
You had a determined look on your face as Jay looked at you with a raised eyebrow
"What's the meaning of this?" Jay questions, he peaked behind your shoulder as he watched your eyes skim through a cook book, you were attempting, key word, "attempting", to make cookies.
"I'm baking" you bluntly reply, reading off the ingredients as you searched for them in your kitchen cabinets. Jay was even more confused now
"It's 2 am?" He says, you continue to ignore his presence as you answered
"Your point?" You remark, Jay shakes his head. He continues to stand and watch for a couple more minutes as he notices your 'unnoticeable' struggles. He sighs deeply before deciding to help you. He grabs a couple ingredients as he starts pouring them into a bowl, mixing them together, attempting to help your helpless mind
"What are you doing?" You question, putting down a couple eggs onto the counter
"I'm mixing the ingredients together so you don't make a mess trying to measure everything" Jay responds. You open your mouth to try and stand up for yourself, though, you couldn't help but feel defeated as he was technically right.
"Fine, but let me do something so I feel like I did most of it" You reason, grabbing some prepared frosting from your fridge.
"Alright then" Jay sighs, moving to the side. You and Jay continued to work together to try and finish the cookies, surprisingly, you guys worked well together, as much as you hated to admit it. After finishing the cookies, you slipped it into the oven, putting in the temperature and time limit said in the cook book. You close the oven quietly before resting your body against your kitchen counter
"All done" you say, you looked to the side to see Jay standing there with a bag of flour in his hands, he smiled as he gave a nod
"All we gotta do now is clean" Jay says, the 2 of you turn toward the table as you winced at the view, the first word you heard was 'dishes', your worst nightmare. You side eyed Jay as you tried to innocently ask him a small question
"Hey Jay, y'think you can do the dishes by yourself yeah? My back hurts so I don't think I can stand much longer" you lie, attempting to do puppy eyes. Jay gives a 'really' look as he looks at you
"Did you really think I'd believe that?" Jay remarks, you sigh in defeat
"Worth a shot" you shrug, you then trudge your body towards Jay as you dragged your feet along the floor, you continued walking, unaware of the fork in front of you. As you stepped on it, a yell escapes your lips as you fell forward. You felt a splash of a powdery substance being thrown at you as your face hit the floor, you groaned in pain as you looked up at Jay, the 'powdery substance' covering your view. You soon realize the substance was the flour Jay was holding earlier, the boy was looking down at you with a nervous look, him slowly backing away as he noticed you realizing
"I'm gonna kill you Jay!" You scream, you then get up quickly as you were now chasing the older male around the kitchen
"Im sorry Y/N! I swear I was only trying to prevent you falling, I forgot I had the damn bag in my arms!" Jay yelps, going the opposite direction you were chasing him from
"I don't care! I'm gonna put you into a chokehold the moment I catch you!" You exclaim, drawing closer to him.
"AHHHHHH" you yell, you then jump at him as you tackled him to the floor, he let out a groan as he made impact with the wooden floor
"Gotcha!" You grin, you turn the boy around as his face was now facing yours, he winced from his pain as he looked at you
"Oh you're a bold bold girl alright" Jay squeaks out, you smiled in victory as you shrugged
"What can I say, I'm that amazing" you humph, holding the boy down still. Just then, a cough was heard from behind you, you looked to see your brother, Niki, standing with a raised eyebrow
"What in the world happened here, and why are you flirting with my sister Jay?!" Niki retorts, you looked back down at Jay as you watched him make eye contact with you again, you were now realizing the position you guys were in. You quickly scrambled off of him as he too scrambled to get off the ground, the 2 of you sheepily smiled as you guys faced Niki
"We were baking!" You excuse, Niki furrowed his eyebrows as he crossed his arms
"Doesn't seem like baking to me" He remarks, you roll your eyes in response. You take in a deep breath to attempt to try and stand up for yourself again before smelling something rather weird. You sniffed the air one more time before yet again realizing something
"The cookies!"
