As you walked into the dressing room in the trailer, you watched a couple of girly cute clowns leave this dress on a hanger right by the vanity
The clowns leave and you look at this beautiful red dress, it was very circus attire but cute. It shimmered and had glitter on it.
"You are going to be the shimmering star for tonight" you felt arms wrap around your waist
You looked up and it was Jerome cheesing so hard
"I love it, and I have just the shoes for it" you spoke and turned to him
"Alright I'll get ready later let's go show brucey around the carnival shall we?" You said while placing a kiss on his lips
"I'm so excited I can't feel the staples" Jerome grinned

The goons have Bruce standing there with a bag over his head and a gun pointed right at him, one goon takes his blindfold off and Jerome walks around him
Bruce looks around, almost petrified
He looks at the goons targeting civilians in a carnival game.
And as you looked around, being in this scenery, brought back memories of when you were younger
- FLASHBACK -
"Cmonnn j one more time" you begged
"I just did it 5 times." Jerome said
"Just one more please, and do 8 balls instead of 4" you pleaded
Jerome looked at you and laughed
"I just learned to juggle and now you're telling me to go pro. Wow y/n" Jerome said laughing
"I'll try for you." Jerome said smiling and gathered the balls
You smiled
He started to juggle but instantly dropped them all
You scratched the back of your neck and looked away
"I know you saw that" Jerome said looking at you with a frown
"Huh? Saw what? Can you do it again I missed it" you said trying to not laugh
"You're not funny" Jerome said
"Just do it one more time" you said giggling
"Yeah no maybe next time" Jerome said putting the balls in the bag
"Hey y/n what are you doing?"
You looked up and saw it was jeremiah.
"She's playing with me, obviously dork" Jerome responded
"I don't think I remember asking you, Jerome" jeremiah spoke quietly
"Speak up." Jerome said
"Anyways y/n wanna hangout with me and do some crosswords?" Jeremiah asked
You smiled
You liked doing crosswords as nerdy as it sounded, but doing them with him was fun
You looked at Jerome and saw how sad he was
"Nah I'll pass, Jerome wanna go play hide and go seek tag?" You asked
The small ginger boy had the biggest smile plastered on his face and grabbed your hand and ran off, leaving Jeremiah.

You stopped spacing out and focused on jerome
"Get him, squash her" Jerome was watching the goons play whack a mole with poor civilians
It was kinda funny
You began to laugh a little and Jerome looked at you with the cutest smirk ever.
'I love that boy'. You said in your head
"Get the old lady! Put your back into it" you yelled at the goon playfully
Jerome laughed looking at Bruce
"Well...we're off to a good start" Jerome walked to Bruce
Jerome threw on a hat
"What do you say Bruce? Wanna have some fun before the main event?" Jerome said
Jerome brought Bruce to a face paint stand and sat him down
"Ouu oh my god i want my face painted too! I want a small butterfly with a blade next to it" you said
"No y/n only Bruce is getting his face done" jerome stated
You frowned and watched the clown paint Bruce's face

The clown finished and Jerome crept up and looked at the finished look
"Gotta be honest Bruce, you don't make the worlds funniest clown. But,"
Jerome said pulling out a switch and bringing it to Bruce's neck
"We can fix that"
And with a swift motion he stabs the clown, really deep
He sticks a finger in
The clown moans in agony
"Oh shut up you big baby" Jerome said
He begins to smear the blood on Bruce's face, "let's turn that frown, upside down"
You laugh a little but then you realize you can't ask the clown to paint your face anymore so you're annoyed, a lot
Jerome gets Bruce out the seat and starts walking around, you follow behind
You all watch the carnival games with the people suffering
"Is there a plan for all this madness" Bruce asked
"These people don't want a plan they want a excuse, a mother who dreams of strangling their child, husband who wants to stab his wife, all they want is someone to tell them, do it, kill them, it doesn't matter, it doesn't." Jerome says and looks at a carnival game
"Ouu I love this game!" Jerome said walking to it
It was a dunk tank titled "dunkapunk", and you remember how Jerome used to love that game and he'd play it all the time, the person in it used to be scared everytime he played because he knew he'd usually hit the target.
But this dunk tank had a little tweak to it, there was piranhas in the water
The goons was holding Bruce back
Jerome gets a ball and gets ready to aim
"You won't get away with it" Bruce said
"I already did, now shush, need to concentrate." Jerome replied and spits on the ground
"A few brainwashed maniacs can't keep the city hostage forever" Bruce said
"Well, duh" you said
Jerome turns to aim
"So what's the point" Bruce spoke up
Jerome spins around "the point is that all these people out here, looting, robbing, killing, they're the people who are people who wash your car, who pour your coffee, who take out your trash, and what happened the moment the lights went out? They showed their true faces. They showed how quickly they wanna open up, your rich boy veins, and bathe in your blue blood."
"That is the point." Jerome said
"That's not true, there are good people in Gotham." Bruce said
Jerome looked at you and you both bursted into laughter
"Like who? The sheep, who locked their door and crawl under their beds? Face it kid, gotham has no heroes." Jerome replied
Bruce looked down
Jerome then picks up the ball and aims again
Bruce pushes Jerome making him stumble a little
"Foul! He pushed him!" You yelled
"You wanna kill someone, let's get on with it, CMON!" Bruce yelled
Jerome yawns "you're so boring Bruce" and he pushes the button on the target
The civilian falls into the water of piranhas, and they ate him up.
"Awh, sorry" Jerome said
"Yo" Jerome said to a goon and he gave Jerome a stapler
Jerome pulls the top corner of his face up and staples it, you wince a little because that has to hurt.
But Jerome take it well, kinda, he made a cracky little wincing noise.
"Did that hurt" Bruce said
"Not much" Jerome walks to Bruce and rolls up his sleeve
"You try" Jerome puts a staple in his arm
Bruce takes it a little better than Jerome did
That made Jerome a little mad so he puts another staple in his arm, Bruce stares at Jerome not wincing
He puts another one in
"Stop!" Bruce yells in pain
"Stop!" Bruce said again
Jerome laughs, "alright" he hands the stapler back to the goon
"Enough dilly dally" jerome spins his hat and puts it on his head
"To the main event" jerome
"Yesss! I need to go get ready." You squealed
"You're going to look stunning doll, I'll see you on the stage" jerome said kissing your hand
