Marinette's POV
"I never knew that you were so broken."
Adrien sighs.
"What do you mean?"
"I should have seen it before you left because all the signs were there."
"I am sorry."
"Marinette, you do not need to be sorry. You are an amazing girl, Marinette. You always have been and always will be to me."
I blush.
I feel him squeeze my hand more.
"Adrien, What do you have in mind?"
I see him blush.
I feel his breath draw closer as he stares into my eyes with his merimizing green ones.
"Marinette, I -I uh, well, you see, the thing is, I am.."
"Yes?"
I feel him let go of my hand. Somehow, I miss his hand already.
"Is something the matter?"
"No."
"You are beautiful."
I blush more.
He blushes as well.
I feel him pull me close. Is this the moment we kiss?
I close my eyes. I feel a soft brush across my cheek.
It was not quite the kiss I was hoping for, but I will take what I can get.
I open my eyes.
"Adrien?"
"Y-yes, M-Marinette?"
"I love you."
I sigh. He did not say it back. What should I do?
I feel my eyes start to water. Was it a mistake my coming here?
I turn away. I can feel my face burn from the look he gives me.
I do not know what to do or where to turn. Perhaps, I should have stayed home.
I hear him mutter, "Amazing, Marinette. You are amazing. Amazingly, beautiful."
I sigh. I suppose I will have to overlook the fact he has not said he loves me.
I wipe away my tears. I look up at him. Big mistake, I feel his eyes draw me to him.
"Marinette, my beautiful, bluebell gal, I promise not to leave you."
I caress his cheek with my left hand. Before he can pull away, I kiss him.
I pull away from his cheek before he can cry.
Adrien smiles. I smile.
I feel him take my hand again.
"I knew you were the girl for me from the very start. I just did not want to admit it within my heart."
I nod my head in agreement as he says something about a donut.
I suppose the distance between us will be gone soon enough.
